Wat is Telecare? Het permanent, automatisch en op afstand monitoren van real time noodsituaties en veranderingen van levensstijl in de loop van de tijd met het doel de risico s te managen die samenhangen met zelfstandig wonen.
Wat is Telehealth? Het consequent, betrouwbaar, accuraat en op afstand monitoren van de conditie van een patiënt met behulp van gemakkelijk te gebruiken apparatuur die zorgprofessionals kunnen aanpassen aan de situatie van iedere patiënt, waardoor het mogelijk wordt om de eigen gezondheid thuis effectiever te managen.
