2 Bestuderen Present Simple Normaal Hoe maak je de Present Simple? Kijk eerst maar even naar het volgende rijtje. I You He She It We You see see sees sees sees see see They see Je ziet dat het heel eenvoudig is. Je schrijft altijd het hele werkwoord op. Let alleen even op bij "he, she, it": daar schrijf je het werkwoord + s. Present Simple hele werkwoord, bij he/she/it hele werkwoord + s. Samengevat zou je kunnen zeggen dat je de Present Simple gebruikt voor dingen die altijd hetzelfde zijn of niet veranderen (of die je niet van plan bent te veranderen) 1 Instruct b.v.

3 Vragen Je moet ook even opletten als je een vraag wilt maken in de Present Simple. Kijk maar weer even. Do I see? Do you see? Does he see? Does she see? Does it see? Do we see? Do you see? Do they see? Je ziet dat je in een vraag altijd do opschrijft en daarna aan het einde het werkwoord. Je moet weer extra opletten bij "he, she, it". Daar gebruik je does met aan het einde van de zin het hele werkwoord. Dus: do/does + wie + werkwoord Ontkenning Bij ontkennende zinnen - zinnen waarin je zegt dat iets niet zo is - gebeurt er net zoiets. Kijk maar: I do not see You do not see He does not see I don't see You don't see He doesn't see She does not see She doesn't see It does not see We do not see You do not see They do not see It doesn't see We don't see You don't see They don't see Je gebruikt dus het woordje do + not + het werkwoord. Let bij "he, she, it" weer even op. Daar gebruik je does + not + het werkwoord. Dus: do/does + not + werkwoord 2 Instruct b.v.

5 Present Continuous Normaal Hoe maak je de Present Continuous? Kijk eerst maar even naar het volgende rijtje. I am running You are running He is running She is running It is running We are running You are running I'm running You're running He's running She's running It's running We're running You're running They are running They're running Om de Present Continuous te kunnen maken, moet je dus het rijtje van to be goed kennen. Je schrijft de goede vorm van 'to be' achter het onderwerp (wie in de vraag van de woordvolgorde), daarna het werkwoord en achter dat werkwoord zet je -ing. Present Continuous wie + am/is/are + werkwoord + ing Vragen Als je een vraag maakt in de Present Continuous, hoef je alleen maar de volgorde van de woorden te veranderen. Kijk maar: I am running You are running He is running She is running It is running We are running You are running Am I running? Are you running? Is he running? Is she running? Is it running? 6 Ontkennen Als je een ontkennende zin wilt maken, hoef je er alleen maar het woordje "not" tussen te zetten. 7 Oefenen Present Simple Exercise You are going to do an exercise for practice. Deze oefeningen staan op Put the results in your portfolio. 1 Classroom behaviour You are going to write down rules for class room behaviour, using the Present Simple. Number of persons: 3-4 Estimated time: minutes 1. Form groups of three or four. 2. Discuss within your group which behaviour in the class room is acceptable and which isn t. 3. Think about things like: a. Asking for permission to speak b. Leaving the room c. Asking questions & asking for help d. Talking, interruptions e. Work attitude f. Homework g. Discipline h. Using the phone i. etc. 4. Make a list of five do s and five don ts. 5. Now, each group is going to present their do s and don ts. Explain why these rules are important. 6. Discuss, with the whole class, which rules (5 10) will be accepted and respected by the whole class throughout this course. 7. Put a copy of your group s list and the reasons for writing them down in your portfolio. Also put in a copy of the class rules. Explain why the class decided on these rules. 2 Habits and routines You are going to talk about habits and routines. Number of persons: 2 Estimated time: 20 minutes 1. Work in pairs. 2. Try to do this assignment spontaneously. 3. Tell your partner what you do on a typical week day. 4. Your partner should take notes. 5. Afterwards he/she should be able to tell the class or a small group of students, what you do during the day. 6. Switch roles and do the same. 7.
