Wat is de beste manier om mezelf te presenteren? Tijdens de workshop Solliciteren van BKV ontvang je nuttige tips met betrekking tot sollicitatievaardigheden en het gebruik van social media. De workshop wordt gegeven door Monique Eland, Managing Consultant bij BKV Artsen Intermediar. In het tweede deel van de workshop kan je deze tips direct gebruiken tijdens het oefenen van sollicitatiegesprekken met radiologen uit verschillende ziekenhuizen en van verschillende secties.

Het vervaardigen van diffusie gewogen beelden van het brein kost slechts enkele seconden tot hooguit twee minuten scantijd en levert een schat aan extra informatie op. Diffusie gewogen beelden zijn bij uitstek geschikt voor het opsporen van acute ischemie (door de cytotoxisch gezwollen cellen neemt de extracellulaire ruimte af), encephalitiden, breinabcessen en celrijke tumoren (met het lymfoom als klassiek voorbeeld). De laatste jaren is er ook een exponentiële toename van toepassingen van DWI buiten het brein en dan met name in het abdomen. De toevoeging van DWI biedt geheel nieuwe mogelijkheden bij het detecteren van maligniteiten, het karakteriseren van bijvoorbeeld focale leverlaesies, maar bijvoorbeeld ook bij het analyseren van inflammatoire aandoeningen zoals Crohn en appendicitis. Bovendien kan DWI gemakkelijk worden geïmplementeerd in praktisch elk klinisch abdominaal MRI protocol. In deze workshop zal aan de hand van praktijkvoorbeelden het scala van klinische toepassingsmogelijkheden en de pitfalls van DWI in het brein en abdomen worden toegelicht. Kortom: DWI waarom nie?
