3 INLEIDING Het realiseren van overzicht en het aanbrengen van samenhang op het terrein van gezondheidsbevordering en preventie behoren tot de kernopdracht van het RIVM Centrum Gezond Leven (CGL). Wanneer de gezondheidsbevordering in Nederland op de best beschikbare kennis wil kunnen bouwen is aansluiting bij toonaangevende internationale expertise en netwerken van groot belang. Dat geldt natuurlijk niet alleen voor het CGL, maar ook voor de nationale thema-instituten en andere samenwerkingspartners. Het uitwisselen (en bundelen) van de internationale kennis en ervaring van de afzonderlijke organisaties heeft meerwaarde. Er ontstaat zo een breder en meer genuanceerd beeld van actuele kennis, kansen, en bedreigingen. Dit maakt het makkelijker om geïnformeerde keuzes te maken over import en export van kennis, en kan de strategische positionering van het Nederlandse werk ten goede komen. Op verzoek van het ministerie van VWS is het CGL begonnen met het opzetten van een eigen internationaal netwerk, en is het centrum een overleg gestart om met nationale partners informatie uit te wisselen over internationale activiteiten en ontwikkelingen. Binnen dit overleg ligt de nadruk op Europese zaken en de kansen die Europa Nederland te bieden heeft op het vlak van versterking gezondheidsbevordering lokaal, regionaal en nationaal. (Het voorbereiden van) Lobbyactiviteiten richting Europese en andere internationale gremia is nadrukkelijk geen taak van dit door CGL geëntameerde internationale overleg. Als eerste stap is in 2010 via dit overleg een inventarisatie gemaakt van de actuele betrokkenheid van CGL-partnerorganisaties bij internationale netwerken en activiteiten. Als peildatum geldt 1 oktober De informatie die in dit overzicht is verwerkt is gebaseerd op: - bijdragen van de deelnemers aan het eerste CGL-partneroverleg internationaal, gehouden op 14 oktober 2010; - informatie die door NIGZ-directeur Jaap Koot is verzameld ten behoeve van de NPHFwerkgroep Europa; - informatie die de deelnemers aan het overleg ons per mail verstrekten; - aanvullend zoekwerk via internet. Het CGL is de deelnemers aan het CGL-partneroverleg internationaal zeer erkentelijk voor hun bijdrage. Dit overzicht wordt opgenomen op Loketgezondleven.nl (met weblinks) en wordt zo mogelijk ieder jaar geactualiseerd. Inventarisatie internationale activiteiten CGL-partners november
