Scope Business Analysis (BA) and Business Information Management (BIM) are two highly-interconnected fields that contribute to the realization of organizations goals BA and BIM have to collaborate closely in order to address increasingly challenging business conditions This paper describes the relationship between BA and BIM, comparing two best practice frameworks, BABOK v2 and BiSL, and proposing how to improve the realization of business needs by combining these best practices 4
BA Business analysis is a discipline with a wide variety of methods and techniques used to act as a liaison among stakeholders It aims to understand the structure, policies and operations of an organization and to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals Business analysis defines and validates solutions that meet business objectives 5
