This product has been developed because of the demand in the market. To measure a signal in a wire, most workshop mechanics pierce their test probe into a wire or thru the seal of the wire at the connector. Because of this it can cause a leakage at the wire or connector with all problems afterwards. Think about the salt water on the road during the winter period. Piercing into cables or seals belongs to the past with this breakout box system with Y-cables. How does it work? The Y-cable is a cable between the sensor (C) and the wiring harness connector (B). It s a sort of extension cable but with a parallel connection to BreakoutBox.nl a multi meter (D) or scope in a safe way without damaging the wires or connector of the sensor or actuator. During measuring the sensor (C) is still connected and live so you can measure with a full operational motor management system in progress (A). This is a big advantage! Complete sets are available for automotive, agriculture and industrial engines. You can also configure your own set by yourself! Other great tools A great tool for training purposes is our more sophisticated Failure Simulation Box. This serial connection breakout box system simulates failures in a motor management system. The Failure Simulation Box is filled with switches and connection sockets to simulate motor management errors and gives the trainer the possibility to do measurements at the same time. 3 potentiometers are integrated for simulating wire resistance and 2 LED s are included for signal detections.
