Ideaal voor bijvoorbeeld een seriële PD (electronische zakagenda), dockingstations, etc. De adapter heeft een 9 polige aansluiting en is geschikt voor Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP. 1.2 Inhoud van de verpakking: - USB naar Serieel converter. - Cd-rom met stuurprogramma s. - Handleiding. 2.0 Installatieprocedure hardware: 1. Sluit de USB kabel aan op de USB poort van uw computer. 2. Plaats de meegeleverde cd-rom in het cd-rom station. 3. Start uw computer. 3.0 Installatieprocedure software (Windows 98SE): 2. Klik op Volgende. 3. Selecteer Zoeken naar het beste stuurprogramma (aanbevolen). 4. Klik op Volgende. 5. Selecteer Een locatie specificeren. 6. Klik op Volgende. 7. Type X:\ (vervang X door de letter van uw cd-rom speler). 8. Windows zal de driver vinden. 9. Klik op Volgende. 10. Klik op Voltooien. 2

Selecteer Zoeken naar het beste stuurprogramma. 5. Selecteer Geef een locatie op. 6. Type X:\ (vervang X door de letter van uw cd-rom speler). 7. Klik op Volgende. 8. Klik op Volgende. 9. Klik op Voltooien. 3.2 Installatieprocedure software (Windows 2000): 2. Klik op Volgende. 3. Selecteer Zoeken naar een geschikt stuurprogramma voor dit apparaat (aanbevolen). 4. Klik op Volgende. 5. Selecteer Een op te geven locatie. 6. Klik op Volgende. 7. Type X:\USB_serial_Win2K (vervang X door de letter van uw cd-rom speler). 8. Klik op Ok. 9. Klik op Voltooien. 3.3 Installatieprocedure software (Windows XP): 2. Selecteer Ik wil zelf kiezen (geavanceerd). 3. Klik op Volgende. 4. Selecteer Op de onderstaande locaties naar het beste stuurprogramma zoeken. 5. Selecteer Ook op deze locatie zoeken. 6. Type x:\usb_serial_winxp (vervang X door de letter van uw cd-rom speler). 7. Kijk op Probleemoplossing: V V Mijn programma of aangesloten apparaat kan geen verbinding maken met de computer. De aangemaakte poort is een virtuele poort, dit betekent dat oudere software pakketten niet altijd kunnen werken met deze virtuele poorten omdat deze gebruik maken van andere geheugen-adressen. Ik krijg de adapter niet goed geïnstalleerd. Download de nieuwste chipset drivers voor uw moederbord of notebook van de site van de leverancier van uw computer of notebook en installeer deze. Installeer daarna de adapter opnieuw. 3

The USB to serial converter can also be used in combination with a USB hub; in this case you need to use a hub that comes with an external power supply, in order to ensure optimal results. 1. Type in X:\ (replace X with the character symbolising your cd-rom drive). 7. Click Next. 8. Click Next. 9. Click Finish. 3.2 Installing the Software (Windows 2000): 2. Click Next. 3. Select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended). 4. Click Next. 6. Click Next. 7. Type in X:\USB_serial_Win2K (replace X with the character symbolising your cdrom drive). 8. Click Ok. 9. Click Next. 10. Click Finish. 3.3 Installing the Software (Windows XP): 2. Select Install from a list of specific locations (advanced). 3. Click Next. 4. Select Include this location in the search. 5. Type in X:\USB_serial_WinXP (replace X with the character symbolising your cdrom drive). 6. Click Next. 7. Click Ok. 8. Certain older applications are not compatible with these virtual ports, as they use different memory addresses. I cannot install this adapter properly.
