Bewaar deze handleiding samen met het bewijs van aankoop daarom zorgvuldig. 1.1 Functies en kenmerken: Deze bijzonder compacte KVM switch stelt u in staat eenvoudig en comfortabel te schakelen tussen twee aangesloten computers. Het beproefde Sync-Emu systeem garandeert foutloze, optimale werking en het probleemloos opstarten van beide computers. Selectie van de benodigde computer vindt plaats met zogenaamde hot-key toetscombinaties. Deze techniek stelt u in staat de EM1033 middels de unieke bevestigingsring uit het zicht te bevestigen en toch, gebruikmakend van uw toetsenbord, volledige beschikking te hebben over alle functies van deze unieke KVM switch. - Ultracompact ontwerp. - Unieke bevestigingsring voor onzichtbare bevestiging (bijvoorbeeld onder uw bureau). - Sync-Emu technologie voor foutloos schakelen en probleemloos opstarten. - Volledige controle middels hot-key toetscombinaties. - Speciale technologie voor het werken met zeer hoge resoluties (max x 1440). 1.2 Inhoud van de verpakking: - EM1033 Twee poorts automatische KVM switch compleet met bekabeling. - Deze Eminent gebruiksaanwijzing. - De Eminent hot-key commando sticker. 1.3 Voordat u begint: Alvorens te beginnen met installeren van deze Automatische KVM switch dient de computers die u aan wilt sluiten op de EM1033 uit te schakelen. Als één of beide aan te sluiten computers beschikken over seriële muisaansluitingen dan is het niet mogelijk de EM1033 aan te sluiten. Voor het gebruik van de EM1033 zijn PS/2 aansluitingen essentieel. 2.0 Installatieprocedure hardware: 1. Sluit beide computers af. 2. Sluit de korte kabelset aan op computer 1. - Sluit de VGA connector aan op de monitoraansluiting van uw - Sluit de kabel met de groene connector aan op de muisaansluiting van uw - Sluit de kabel met de paarse connector aan op de toetsenbordaansluiting van uw 2

Sluit de lange kabelset aan op computer 2. - Sluit de VGA connector aan op de monitoraansluiting van uw - Sluit de kabel met de groene connector aan op de muisaansluiting van uw - Sluit de kabel met de paarse connector aan op de toetsenbordaansluiting van uw 4. Sluit uw monitor aan op de monitoraansluiting van de EM Sluit uw toetsenbord aan op de toetsenbord aansluiting van de EM1033 (paars). 6. Sluit uw muis aan op de muisaansluiting van de EM1033 (groen). 7. Start beide computers op. 3.0 Over hot-key combinaties: Het bedienen van de EM1033 Twee poorts automatische KVM switch geschiedt middels zogenaamde hot-key combinaties. Dit zijn toetscombinaties die u in staat stellen te schakelen tussen de computers via uw toetsenbord, zodat uw switch netjes uit het zicht kan worden weggewerkt. Hieronder volgt een overzicht van de hot-key combinaties. 3.1 Schakelen tussen uw computers: 1. Computer 1 selecteren. - Druk op Computer 2 selecteren. - Druk op De Autoscan modus: Autoscan stelt u in staat de EM1033 automatisch te laten schakelen tussen computer 1 en computer 2. Het tijdsinterval tussen de schakelingen is in te stellen. Standaard is dit interval 3 seconden. Als beide computers uitgeschakeld worden schakelt de KVM switch automatisch over naar dit standaard interval van 3 seconden. Autoscan kan handmatig worden uitgeschakeld, maar pauzeert automatisch als de EM1033 muis/toetsenbord activiteit detecteert. Autoscan wordt hervat als de activiteit stopt. Als u het interval tussen de schakelingen wilt wijzigen dient u eerst Autoscan uit te schakelen volgens onderstaande procedure. 1. Autoscan modus inschakelen. - Druk op F1. 2. Autoscan uitschakelen. 3. Autoscan interval wijzigen naar 8 seconden. - Druk op F3. - Herhaal deze procedure om te schakelen naar resp. 15, 30 of het standaard 3 seconden interval. 4.0 Service en ondersteuning: Deze handleiding is met zorg opgesteld door de technische experts van Eminent. Selection of one of the computers occurs by pressing so-called hot-key combinations. This technique allows you to attach the EM1033 out of sight by using the unique mounting ring while maintaining full control over the EM1033 through your keyboard. - Ultra-compact design. - Unique mounting ring for invisible mounting (e.g. attaching the EM1033 under your desktop). - Sync-Emu technology for flawless switching and trouble-free booting. - Full control through hot-key combinations. - Special technology for operating on extremely high resolutions (max x 1440). 1.2 Packing contents: - EM1033 Two port automatic KVM switch complete with cabling. - This Eminent users manual. - The Eminent hot-key command sticker. 1.3 Before you start: Before installing this Automatic KVM switch you need to shut down all computers that need to be connected to the EM1033. If one of both computers use serial mouse connectors you are unable to use the EM1033. For using the EM1033 PS/2 mouse connectors are required. 2.0 Installation procedure hardware. 1. Shut down both computers. 2. Connect your mouse to the mouse connection on the EM1033 (green). 3.0 About hot-key combinations: Operating the EM1033 Two port automatic KVM switch happens by using so-called hot-key combinations. These are key combinations which allow you to switch between computers through you keyboard. By using this technology the switch can be put out of range and most important: out of sight without losing control. Underneath you will find a summary of hot-key combinations. 3.1 Switching between computers: 1. Selecting computer 1. - Press Selecting computer 2. - Press The Autoscan mode: Autoscan allows you to have the EM1033 switch between computer 1 and computer 2 automatically. The switching interval can be configured. By default this interval is 3 seconds. When both computers are off the KVM switch will automatically reset to this default value. Autoscan can be disabled manually but will also pause automatically when the EM1033 detects mouse or keyboard activity. Autoscan will resume when activity stops. When you need to alter the Autoscan interval make sure Autoscan is disabled before changing the interval. 1. Enable Autoscan. - Press F1. 2. Disable Autoscan. 3. Setting the Autoscan interval to 8 seconds. - Press F3. - Repeat this procedure to switch to resp. 15, 30 or back to the default 3 seconds interval. 4.0 Service and support: This users manual has been carefully written by Eminent s technical experts.
