2 Wie verzamelt als eerste vier verschillende snoepjes? Net als in het sprookje proberen Hans en Grietje het lekkers van het huis te pakken zonder dat de boze heks dit merkt. Sommige snoepjes kun je zomaar pakken. Maar pas op! Pak je het verkeerde snoepje, dan komt ze naar buiten en moet je het snoepje weer terugplaatsen op het huisje. Onthoud goed welke snoepjes je wel of niet mag pakken! De eerste speler die de vier verschillende snoepjes heeft verzameld, is de winnaar! Inhoud 4 Hans en Grietje speelfiguren 1 snoephuisje van de heks 24 snoepjes (6x chocola, 6x hartje, 6x schuimpje, 6x koek) 1 speelbord 1 dobbelsteen 1 pinnetje Voorbereiding 1. Plaats de batterijen in de daarvoor bestemde houder (zie hoofdstuk Batterijenwaarschuwing in deze handleiding). 2. Prik het pinnetje met het steeltje naar boven door het gaatje in het midden van het speelbord. Leg het bord op een vlakke ondergrond en plaats het huisje over de pin. De pin moet dus in het gaatje aan de onderkant van het huisje gestoken worden. 3. Plaats de 24 snoepjes op de zijkanten en het dak van het huis. Voor elk type snoepje zijn 6 plaatsen op het huisje beschikbaar. Deze zijn herkenbaar aan de vorm van de uitsparingen in het huisje. Kies voor elk snoepje een passende plaats. 4. Plaats voor iedere speler die meespeelt (2-4 spelers) een Hans en Grietje speelfiguur op het speelbord. Elke kleur heeft een vaste startpositie. Deze is aangegeven op het speelbord met dezelfde kleur. 5. Voordat je met het spel begint, moet de schakelaar altijd in de uit stand staan. Zet het spel aan met behulp van de schakelaar onder het oventje aan de achterkant van het huis. Het spel heeft twee speelniveaus. (Zie hoofdstuk Speelniveaus in deze handleiding). Doel van het spel Winnaar is de speler die als eerste de vier verschillende snoepjes van het huis heeft verzameld. Het spel begint De jongste speler begint. Om beurten gooi je met de dobbelsteen en verplaats je jouw Hans en Grietje in de richting van de wijzers van de klok. Verplaats Hans en Grietje evenveel vakjes als je ogen hebt gegooid. Er mag maar één Hans en Grietje op een vakje staan. Als een vakje bezet is, dan ga je op het volgende lege vakje staan _Hdl.indd :49

3 Snoepjes pakken van het huis Als jouw Hans en Grietje op een vakje met een schuimpje, hartje, koek of chocola landt, mag je proberen dat snoepje van het huis te nemen. Dus land je op een schuimpje dan mag je een schuimpje proberen te pakken, land je op een koekje dan mag je een koekje proberen te pakken enz. Je mag zelf kiezen welk schuimpje of koekje je neemt. Maar pas op! In het huisje woont de boze heks. En die vindt het helemaal niet leuk als je snoep van haar huisje pakt. Sommige snoepjes kun je pakken zonder dat de heks het merkt, maar bij enkele snoepjes merkt ze het en komt ze boos naar buiten. In dat geval moet je het snoepje terug op het huisje plaatsen en is je beurt voorbij. Gebeurt er niets, dan is het snoepje van jou en mag de volgende speler met de dobbelsteen gooien. Snoepjes ruilen Wanneer je op een vakje ruilen komt, dan mag je een willekeurig snoepje van jezelf ruilen met een snoepje dat nog op het huis zit. Het is slim om dubbele snoepjes te ruilen als je die hebt. Plaats deze dubbele dan eerst terug op een lege plek op het huisje. Pak daarna een snoepje dat je nog mist. Maar pas op! Ook nu kan de heks naar buiten komen. Dan moet je het snoepje laten zitten en is je beurt voorbij. Je krijgt in dat geval ook je oude snoepje niet meer terug. Snoepjes afpakken Wanneer je op een vakje afpakken komt, dan mag je één snoepje van een andere speler afpakken dat overeenkomt met het snoepje dat op het vakje staat afgebeeld. Je mag kiezen van welke speler je het snoepje afpakt. Je kiest dan natuurlijk een speler die al bijna al zijn vier snoepjes heeft. Als niemand zo n snoepje heeft dan gaat je beurt voorbij. Wie wint? De speler die als eerst alle vier de verschillende snoepjes heeft verzameld wint. Je moet dus minstens 1 koekje, 1 schuimpje, 1 hartje en 1 chocolaatje hebben. Als jij de winnaar bent, mag je op de schoorsteen duwen om het spel te beëindigen! Speelniveaus Voordat je begint te spelen moet de schakelaar altijd in de uit stand staan. Het spel heeft twee speelniveaus. Op het eerste niveau let de heks minder goed op en is het makkelijker om de snoepjes van het huisje te nemen. Van de 6 snoepjes van een soort, kun je er op dit niveau 4 pakken. Bij 2 snoepjes komt de heks naar buiten. Op het tweede niveau let de heks beter op. Nu kun je 3 snoepjes zomaar pakken en bij de andere 3 komt de heks naar buiten. Niveau 1 stel je in door de schakelaar in de linker positie te zetten. Niveau 2 stel je in door de schakelaar in de rechter positie te zetten. Wanneer de schakelaar in het midden staat, is het huisje uit. 4 Batterijenwaarschuwing Als de batterijen leeg zijn, schroef dan het klepje van de oven aan de achterkant van het huis los en vervang de batterijen (4 x AAA). Let op de aanwijzingen op de verpakking van de batterijen. Let erop dat de + zijde van de batterijen aan de juiste zijde zit. Raadpleeg de aanwijzingen op de verpakking van de aangeschafte batterijen. Nieuwe batterijen (1,5 V) met de pluszijde naar de goede kant in de houder doen. Probeer niet-oplaadbare batterijen niet op te laden. Haal oplaadbare batterijen eerst uit het spel alvorens ze op te laden. Laad oplaadbare batterijen alleen onder toezicht van een volwassene op. Gebruik geen verschillende soorten batterijen door elkaar. Gebruik ook geen nieuwe en gebruikte batterijen door elkaar. Gebruik alleen batterijen van hetzelfde type als aanbevolen. Haal de batterijen er gelijk uit als ze op zijn. Let op dat de polen elkaar nooit raken _Hdl.indd :49

5 Who will be the first to collect four different types of sweets? Just like in the fairytale, Hansel and Gretel try to take sweets from the house without the evil witch noticing. Some sweets are easy to get. But watch out! If you grab the wrong sweet, the witch will come outside and you will have to replace the sweet back onto the house. So remember which sweets you can and can t take! The first player to collect the four different types of sweets is the winner! Place the batteries in the appropriate compartment (see the heading Warnings for battery use in this manual). 2. Stick the pin into the hole in the middle of the game board with the handle facing upwards. Place the board on a flat surface and position the house over the pin so that it fits into the hole on the bottom of the house. 3. Put the 24 sweets on the sides of the roof. There are 6 places available on the house for each type of sweet. These can be recognised by the shapes that have been formed in the plastic. Choose an appropriate position for each type of sweet. 4. Place a Hansel and Gretel playing piece on the game board for each player (2-4 players). Each colour has a fixed starting position. These are indicated on the game board with a matching colour. 5. Before you start the game, make sure that the switch is in the OFF position. Then switch on the game by using the switch under the oven on the back of the house. The game has two levels. (See the heading game levels in this manual). Aim of the game The first player to collect the four different types of sweets from the house is the winner. Starting the game The youngest player begins. Everyone takes turns to throw the dice and move their Hansel and Gretel in a clockwise direction. The dice determines how many squares you move your Hansel and Gretel. Only one Hansel and Gretel are allowed on each square. If someone is already on the square, you have to move to the next empty square _Hdl.indd :49

6 Taking sweets from the house When your Hansel and Gretel land on a square with a meringue, heart-shaped candy, biscuit or chocolate you can try to take that type of sweet off the house. So if you land on a meringue, you can try to take a meringue and when you land on a biscuit, you can try to take a biscuit etc. You can choose which meringue or biscuit to take. But watch out! A witch lives in the house and she gets really angry when you grab sweets from her house. You can take some sweets without the witch noticing but with some sweets she ll notice and storm outside in a fit of rage. In that case you have to replace the sweet back onto the house and it s the next player s turn. If the witch doesn t notice, you can keep the sweet and the next player continues the game by throwing the dice. Swopping sweets When you land on a swop square you can swop one of your own sweets for one that s still on the house. It s a good idea to swop sweets of which you already have two. First put one of them back onto an empty place on the house and then pick a sweet that you still need. But watch out! The witch might come outside again! And then you won t be able to take the sweet and it s the next players turn. In this case you won t be able to get your original sweet back either. Grabbing sweets off each other When you land on a grab square you can grab one sweet from another player. The sweet you grab has to match the sweet pictured on the square. You can choose which player you want to grab the sweet from. Of course it s best to choose a player who has almost collected all of his or her sweets. If nobody has the pictured sweet, you miss your turn. Who wins? The first player to collect the four different types of sweets from the house is the winner. So you need to collect at least 1 biscuit, 1 meringue, 1 heart-shaped candy and 1 chocolate. The winner can finish the game by pushing the chimney! Game levels Before you start the game, make sure that the switch is in the OFF position. The game has two levels. In the first level, the witch isn t as alert and it s easier to take the sweets from her house. In this level you can take 4 of each type of sweet and only 2 of each type will cause the witch to come outside. In the second level, the witch is more aware. Now you can only take 3 sweets of each type and 3 of each type will cause the witch to come outside. For level 1 the switch needs to be in the left position and for level 2 the switch needs to be in the right position. When the switch is in the middle position, the house will be switched off. After you finish playing the game, always make sure that the switch is in the OFF position _Hdl.indd :49

7 Batteries If the batteries are empty, unscrew the oven door on the back of the house and change the batteries (4 x AAA). Please refer to the packaging of the batteries you have bought for instructions and safety warnings and please ensure that the + end is on the correct side of the holder. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Remove rechargeable batteries from the game before charging. Only recharge rechargeable batteries under adult supervision. Do not mix different battery types or new and used batteries together. Only use 1.5 V batteries of the type mentioned in the rules. Always remove batteries when they are exhausted.
