This feature only plays a role while installing the network and when new modules are added. The Energy module master also contains a clock that the other Energy module use to synchronize their time stamps. The Energy module master should always be installed first and should always be plugged in within range (- m) of the rest of the Legrand network, even when no appliance is connected. Take the Energy module master (recognizable by its grey back), the included installation list and a pen. Choose an appliance, located in the same room as the computer, to plug into the Energy module master. Carefully tear off the lower code label and stick it in the space on the installation list. It is possible that the codes have already been printed on the installation list. Write the name of the appliance connected to the Energy module master next to the code on the installation list, as well as the location of the appliance. Put the Energy module master into the power socket and plug the appliance into the Energy module master.
PLACING THE ENERGY MODULE (continued) Energy module Repeat the above procedure for the other Energy module. If Energy module are placed close to each other, the Legrand network will operate faster. Although Energy module can bridge longer distances, it is recommended that the Energy module are placed no more than - m away from each other. Return to your computer when all Energy module are connected and the installation list is complete. It is not necessary to install all Energy module at once as they can be added later via the settings menu. This is further explained in the Energy manager manual. ome examples of heavy energy users are: refrigerators, water heaters, ovens and water beds. Most people can save energy on lighting, digital TV tuners, internet routers and devices with a stand-by feature. If you want to connect multiple appliances to one Energy module, please take the inrush current of each appliance into account. The inrush current can be many times the nominal use current of the appliance. INTALLING ENERGY MANAGER Energy manager is the software application that enables you to view energy usage data on your computer. It s also used to create schedules to automatically switch appliances on and off, so you can easily save on energy costs. Before you install Energy manager, make sure you have completed the previous steps of this manual. Go to www.legrand.com/energymanager and download the installation file. If you use Internet Explorer, click Run if you are asked whether you want to run or save the file. Double click the installer file once it has been downloaded. A software wizard will guide you through the installation process. When Energy manager has been installed, the Legrand network configuration wizard will be shown. tick Plug the tick into a UB socket on your computer after Energy manager has been installed. When a Windows dialogue box appears with the title unknown manufacturer, click allow to continue your installation. CONFIGURING THE LEGRAND NETWORK After the installation of Energy manager has been completed, the configuration wizard starts up automatically. You can start the configuration wizard manually with the shortcut in your Windows menu tart. The wizard will guide you through a number of screens to enter data in order to set up your network. The Energy manager software manual offers support for every step taken by the configuration wizard. The manual appears if you click the question mark button at the bottom right of the window. At the end of the configuration procedure, you will receive an e-mail. After clicking the activation link in that e-mail, Energy manager and your Legrand network are ready for use! Keep the installation list with the licence code in a safe place for future use. It can take up to minutes for all the Energy module to be registered by the network. If a Energy module is not found by the network during the configuration, you can add it manually via the settings menu. This process is explained in the Energy manager software manual that appears if you click the question mark button at the bottom right of the Energy manager window.

By sending switching schedules to the Energy module you can automatically switch appliances on and off and save on your electricity bill. Your computer can be turned off as energy measurement data and schedules are saved on the Energy module internal memory. energymanager 1 Report of usage from 0/01/01 to 0/0/01 inclusive 1 Reports displays graphs of your energy use, costs and related CO emission. A report is generated after receiving one hour of data and is then updated hourly. kwh chedules is used to define automatic switching schedules. energymanager M T W T F F M T W Direct witching switches appliances on and off manually. tick flashes if data is sent or received. Help shows a detailed manual for Energy manager. ettings shows a menu to make changes to anything defined during the configuration. You can also add appliances and create groups there. If you remove a Energy module from the power socket and put it back in again, it will always switch to on, regardless of any switching schedule that is assigned to it. This can come in handy if you want to use an appliance that has been switched off automatically by a schedule.

The data will be sent anonymously (unless you indicate otherwise) and are not linked to your location or ID in any way. These technical consumption data are used by Legrand to improve and extend the functionality of its products with the ultimate goal of a better environment and a sustainable world. Kies een apparaat op niet meer dan meter afstand van de computer, dat u op de Energiemodule WCD wilt aansluiten, en loop naar het apparaat. Op de achterkant van de Energiemodule WCD zijn twee labels met een code bevestigd. cheur één label af en plak deze op de installatielijst. Laat de andere sticker zitten. Het is mogelijk dat de code al op de installatatielijst is gedrukt. chrijf naast het label op de installatielijst de naam van het apparaat dat u op de Energiemodule aansluit en het vertrek waarin het zich bevindt. teek nu de Energiemodule WCD in het stopcontact en steek vervolgens de stekker van het apparaat in de Energiemodule WCD. Het aangesloten apparaat zal na enkele seconden ingeschakeld worden.
PLAATING VAN DE ENERGIEMODULE (vervolg) Energiemodule WCD Herhaal de procedure met de resterende Energiemodule(s); scheur het label los, vul de installatielijst in en sluit het apparaat aan. Als u deze niet heeft, raden wij u aan om de tweede Energie-module binnen - meter van de Energiemodule schroefkoppelling te plaatsen, zodat een goede netwerkverbinding gegarandeerd is. U hoeft niet meteen alle Energiemodule(s) te plaatsen. Zorg er wel voor dat Energiemodule WCD altijd als eerste geplaatst wordt. Als u meerdere apparaten tegelijk wilt aansluiten op een Energiemodule, dient u rekening te houden met de aansluitfactoren van die apparaten. De inschakelstroom kan namelijk vele malen hoger zijn dan de stroom bij normaal verbruik. Vraag na bij de leverancier van het apparaat of het is toegestaan om deze te schakelen! Bijvoorbeeld industriële koffieautomaten. Installeren van de software Legrand Energy manager is de software waarmee u op uw computer verbruiksgegevens van uw apparaten kunt bekijken en schakelschema s kunt maken om energie te besparen. Ga naar www.legrand.com/energymanager en download het installatiebestand. tart de installatie-wizard door het bestand openen. Als u Internet Explorer gebruikt, klikt u op uitvoeren, als u gevraagd wordt of u het bestand wilt uitvoeren of opslaan. Doorloop alle stappen van de installatie-wizard, zodat de software zich automatisch installeert op uw computer. Zodra de software is geïnstalleerd, wordt de configuratie-wizard gestart. Ga dan verder met de stappen die hieronder staan beschreven. UB-dongel Plaats nu de dongel in een UB-ingang van uw computer. Als u een Windows-waarschuwing krijgt met de titel onbekende uitgever, klik dan op toestaan om de installatie te vervolgen. Configureren van het Legrand netwerk De Energy manager configuratie-wizard wordt automatisch geopend na de installatie van de software. Als er iets mis gaat, kunt u de configuratie-wizard zelf starten door op de snelkoppeling in uw Windows menu tart te klikken. Doorloop de stappen van de configuratie-wizard. Iedere stap wordt in detail toegelicht in de handleiding van de software. U kunt deze bekijken door op het vraagtekenknopje rechts onderin het scherm te klikken. Aan het eind van het configuratieproces krijgt u een e-mail toegezonden. Na het aanklikken van de activatielink in deze e-mail is de software klaar voor gebruik. Bewaar de installatielijst met de licentiecode goed. Na het plaatsen van de Energymodule(s) kan het circa minuten duren voordat ze allemaal online in het netwerk zijn. Als een Energiemodule tijdens de configuratie niet wordt gevonden, dan kunt u deze later nog handmatig toevoegen via het instellingenmenu. Zie hiervoor de softwarehandleiding die u kunt openen door in de Legrand Energy manager software op de vraagtekenknop te klikken.

Instellingen toont een menu met alles wat tijdens de configuratie is opgegeven. Hier kunt u ook Energiemodule toevoegen en groepen van apparaten aanmaken. Als u een Energiemodule uit het stopcontact verwijdert en weer terugplaatst, staat deze standaard op aan - ongeacht een eventueel schakelschema dat eraan gekoppeld is. Dat kan van pas komen als een apparaat door een schakelschema is uitgeschakeld, terwijl u het eenmalig wilt inschakelen. 8
Overdracht van verbruiksgegevens Wanneer u de licentievoorwaarden van Legrand (beschikbaar op www.legrand.com/energymanager) aanvaardt, geeft u de toestemming voor de automatische overdracht van de meetgegevens van uw uitrusting aan Legrand. De gegevens zullen anoniem verzonden worden (tenzij u dit anders aangeeft) en zullen op geen enkele manier gelinkt zijn aan uw locatie of identiteit. Deze technische verbruiksgegevens worden door Legrand gebruikt om de functionaliteit van de producten te verbeteren en uit te breiden met het oog op een beter milieu en een duurzame wereld.
