3 Over : The Impact of LifeLong Learning Strategies on Profession-oriented Higher Education in Europe The project intends to: Provide a report on national LifeLong Learning policies Provide a self-assessment tool on LifeLong Learning for HEI s Exchange good practices on LifeLong Learning in professional higher education Provide policy advice to the European Commission on the structure of LifeLong Learning post 2013 and to involve the LLL policy makers in the project partner countries

11 Resultaten: werkgevers Main findings: Businesses are not aware of the difference formal vs. non formal learning Businesses are not aware of the offer in a HEI (information deficit) Businesses seem to react more on what is offered than on what is available Businesses target individual employees rather than groups Businesses are ambiguous about LLL because it may stimulate an employee to leave the company Businesses tend to disregard formal learning since it serves more the individual employee. Non formal learning serves more the company

To provide food for thought, at different levels within higher education institutions, on the future development of lifelong learning. 19 -Radar KHLeuven Conclusie: KHLeuven zou instellingsbreed beleid rond LLL moeten formuleren, rekening houdend met o.a.: Alle bestaande initiatieven, projecten, praktijk en beleid binnen de instelling en deze op 1 lijn brengen. Welke types LLL-studenten de instelling (of programma) wenst aan te trekken en hoe hierop in te spelen. Werkgevers en sociale partners als stakeholders en mogelijke partners in structurele samenwerking (co-creatie). Andere aanbieders: duidelijke profilering van eigen aanbod en samenwerking waar mogelijk/noodzakelijk/gewenst. HR beleid voor personeel in LLL activiteiten. Afstemmen van campusfaciliteiten en administratieve structuur. Communicatie op maat voor verschillende doelgroepen.

Wat is de rol van een hogeschool/universiteit als aanbieder van LLL? Zijn er hierbij verschillen tussen hogescholen en universiteiten in de (maatschappelijke) rol en invulling van lifelong learning? Heeft de -Radar een meerwaarde voor uw instelling (of departement)?
