1 Nieuwegein, September 2018 Uitnodiging Arctic Driving Event Zweden: 21 t/m 24 februari 2019 Beste genodigde! Wederom organiseren wij voor u een vierdaagse ice-racing trip naar Zweden. Vanuit het hotel in Åre zullen we deze keer met 2 verschillende Zweedse rally scholen werken op twee verschillende locaties. We vliegen ditmaal rechtstreeks met de KLM naar Trondheim, een kortere vliegtijd, en daarom meer tijd om op het ijs de rijtechniek te verbeteren. Vertrek: donderdag 21 februari retour: zondag 24 februari. Het hotel waar we 3 nachten verblijven is het upgraded Åregården Hotel (voorheen Grand Diplomat Hotel) in Åre; het wintersport centrum van Zweden. De diners zullen gebruikt worden in een van de restaurants in het hotel.zie ook: De totale kosten van dit ice-racing evenement bedragen 2.995,- per persoon op basis van een double room voor double use. Toeslag 1-pers.kamer: 315,- voor 3 nachten. Toeslag mini-suite: 450,- voor 3 nachten. Dit bedrag is inclusief alle kosten: vliegtickets, 3 hotelovernachtingen, alle maaltijden (ontbijt, lunch en 3 of 4 gangen diners), entree van de countryclub en gebruik van de spa / sauna van het hotel. Alsook instructie en gebruik van de rally auto s. Tevens een 2 uur durende sneeuwscooter tocht. Dit bedrag is exclusief kosten voor drank. Indien u belangstelling heeft aanstaand voorjaar (wederom) van de partij te zijn, dan verzoeken wij u zo snel mogelijk te reageren door bijgaand inschrijfformulier volledig ingevuld per fax, mail of post te retourneren. Bij deelname wordt u een aanbetalingfactuur ad 1.500,- toegestuurd. Deze dient de eerste week van november 2018 te zijn voldaan. Het restantbedrag wordt in week 1 van 2019 gefactureerd. En dient per direct betaald te worden i.v.m. onze financiële verplichtingen. Uiteraard ontvangt u ruim voor vertrek informatie betreffende kledingadvies en exacte reis- en programma tijden. 3 B4E1 Programme Arctic Driving 2019 Arrival day (21 February 2019) Departure from Schiphol Airport by KLM approximately hours. Arrival 16:45 hours at Trondheim Airport (Norway). From the airport the group will be picked up by a luxury touring car and driven to Åre and Åregården Hotel across the border in Sweden. The drive will take approximately 2 hours. Check-in at hotel approximately hours, followed by dinner in one of their restaurants. Second day (Friday 22 February 2019) DRIVING TOYOTAS on lake in Centre of Are After breakfast we start the day with a program and safety information. Then we walk down to the lake in the centre of Åre and during the day we will be driving in 3 groups of 8 persons each. Every group will have 4 cars and an instructor available to them. We will practice on six different stations using both front wheel and back wheel driven cars. First station: we have a handling track and do the classic elktest in the Toyota GT86 Second station: we have Rally Corollas and a Swedish Rally driver will teach how to drive rally on snow and ice. Station 3 will be circle tracks and we use rear wheel driven Toyota GT86 cars to learn skidding. Station 4 skidding on Guitar track Station 5 skidding on Gymkhana track Station 6 driving competition on the long run track using all learnt techniques. Lunch will be served close by the lake and there will be time for a coffee break After lunch we continue the ice racing training on different circle tracks. We will raise the level and speed. At the station with Rally Corollas we will be training left foot braking, breaking points and learn to find the best line round the stage and every track will end with a competition When the driving is finished we will have Après-Race-Drinks in a bar/restaurant close to the hotel with a live music entertainment. Then back to the Åregården Hotel for further relaxation and dinner.

4 Third day (Saturday 23 February 2019) DRIVING VW/AUDI/PORSCHE on different lake station A similar programme but a different rally school and cars! This school is 15 minutes drive from the hotel and we will be using 6 new Volkswagen GOLF R 2019 with 4 Motion Haldex 4x4, two Porsches GTS4 and 4 Audi s A4 or Audi A6. The cars are equipped with special tires from :Lappi with studs which are glued, except for the Audis which run on regular studded winter tires. The instructors use 3 practice stations, each group having 8 participants, 4 cars and one instructor. The schedule will include the following content: Warming up and technical briefing Advanced Brake training / grip test to find a feeling for the grip. Handling / slalom / under- and over steering training on different slalom tracks with both symmetric and asymmetric layout for achieving different levels of challenges Driving in 8 s. By using various sizes of 8 s we demonstrate the weight transfers in the cars in a defensive of offensive way. Dancing on the ice Special stages driving: putting together all the exercises on different slopes, shorter, more narrow, faster and wider tracks: the rhythm, the planning, the speed adaptation, how to use over steer for dynamic cornering, how to find the correct racing line, how to use advanced load changing for saving time, gaining control and becoming a safer AND quicker driver! Lunch and coffee break will be provided on site. After a full day of training we will be taken back to the Åregården Hotel for further relaxation and dinner and price giving. Fourth day (Sunday 24 February 2019) After breakfast the final morning of the trip will be spent in the forest for a 2 hour snow scooter trip! All equipment (helmets, snow glasses, gloves, overalls, snow mobiles) will be provided to make sure you are safe and securely dressed during the exhilarating trip through the snowy forests and lakes of Sweden. Do not forget to bring your driving licenses!!! Upon return at the hotel we will finish with lunch and then check-out of our rooms to be picked up by the touring car once again and driven to Trondheim Airport for our flight back to Amsterdam.
