If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected. WARNING: Position the lid so that steam is directed away from the handle. 2

4 WARNING: Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling. The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided. The appliance must not be immersed. CAUTION: Insure that the kettle is switched off before removing it from its stand. WARNING: Risks of injuries if you don't use this appliance correctly. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use. The surfaces are liable to get hot during use. WARNING: Avoid spillage on the connector. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Place the appliance on a stable flat surface before use. Be careful when opening the lid immediately after the water has boiled, the steam coming out of the kettle is very hot constituting a risk of scalding. Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than water. Never fill the kettle beyond the maximum level indication. Make sure the bottom of the kettle and the power base are dry before placing the kettle onto the power base. 3

5 PARTS OPERATION Before first use, it is recommended to operate the kettle for 2 to 3 times following the instructions below. This will remove any dust or residues remaining from the manufacturing process. 1. Remove kettle from power base. 2. Fill kettle with desired amount of cold water through the spout or the open lid. Open the lid by pressing the lid release button. Do not overfill the kettle by exceeding the MAX level. 3. Close the lid by pressing it down until it clicks into place. 4. Place the kettle on the power base and insert the plug into the mains socket. 5. Press the power switch. The water is being heated. The power indicator light will illuminate. 6. The kettle will switch off automatically when the water boils. The power indicator light will go out. You can stop the boiling process by setting the power switch to O. 7. Lift the kettle from the power base and then slowly pour the boiling water. NOTE: Use the kettle only when the lid is closed and the filter is in place. Cut-out for boil-dry protection If you operate the kettle without water, the kettle will stop heating and automatically switch off. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and re-boiling. 4

6 CLEANING AND DESCALING Always unplug the appliance from the mains socket and allow it to cool down before cleaning. Clean the outside of the kettle and the power base using a slightly damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Remove the mesh filter from the spout. Clean it under running water and then replace it. Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaning agent. Never immerse the kettle and the power base in water. Regularly descale the kettle using a specific descaler. Wipe the inside of the kettle with a clean cloth. MISES EN GARDE IMPORTANTES: L appareil doit être placé sur une surface plane et stable avant d'être utilisé pour la première fois. Les jets de vapeur sont très chauds et constituent un risque de brûlure: Faites très attention lors de l'ouverture du couvercle une fois l'eau portée à ébullition. N'utilisez pas cette bouilloire pour faire chauffer quoi que ce soit d'autre que de l'eau. Ne remplissez jamais la bouilloire au-delà du trait maximum. Avant de mettre la bouilloire sur son socle, assurez-vous que le dessous de la bouilloire et le socle lui-même sont secs. DESCRIPTION 10

12 UTILISATION Avant la première utilisation, il est recommandé de faire fonctionner la bouilloire à 2 ou reprises (voir instructions ci-dessous). Cela permet d enlever la poussière et les résidus de fabrication. 1. Retirez la bouilloire de son socle. 2. Remplissez la bouilloire avec la quantité d'eau froide souhaitée, que vous verserez soit par le bec verseur soit après avoir ouvert le couvercle. Appuyez sur le bouton d'ouverture du couvercle puis. Évitez de remplir la bouilloire au-delà du niveau MAX. 3. Refermez le couvercle en appuyant jusqu'à ce qu'il se verrouille. 4. Placez la bouilloire sur son socle, puis branchez celui-ci. 5. Appuyez sur le bouton marche/arrêt. L'eau commence à chauffer. Le témoin d'alimentation s allume. 6. Une fois l'eau portée à ébullition, la bouilloire s'éteint automatiquement. Le témoin lumineux s'éteint. Vous pouvez interrompre le processus à tout moment en mettant le bouton marche/arrêt sur O. 7. Ôtez la bouilloire du socle d'alimentation et versez lentement l'eau bouillante. REMARQUE : La bouilloire ne doit pas être utilisée avec le couvercle ouvert et sans le filtre en place. Dispositif anti chauffage à sec Downloaded from Si la bouilloire est allumée sans eau à l'intérieur, elle s'arrête de chauffer et s'éteint automatiquement. Si cela se produit, laissez la bouilloire refroidir, puis remplissez-la avec de l'eau froide et recommencez. NETTOYAGE ET DÉTARTRAGE Débranchez toujours l'appareil et attendez qu'il ait refroidi avant de le nettoyer. Essuyez les surfaces externes et le socle avec un chiffon humide. Séchez-les bien. Sortez le filtre à mailles du bec verseur. Lavez-le sous le robinet, puis remettez-le en 11

13 place. N'utilisez pas des produits de nettoyage chimiques ou abrasifs. Ne mettez en aucun cas la bouilloire ou le socle dans l'eau. La bouilloire doit être régulièrement détartrée au moyen d'un produit détartrant spécifique. Essuyez l'intérieur de la bouilloire avec un chiffon propre. 17 in contact komen en ontkalken. Kokend water kan uit de waterkoker worden gestoten wanneer hij overvol is. WAARSCHUWING: plaats het deksel zo dat de stoom van de handgreep weg is gericht. WAARSCHUWING: open het deksel niet terwijl het water kookt. De waterkoker mag uitsluitend met de meegeleverde stander worden gebruikt. Dit apparaat mag niet worden ondergedompeld. OPGELET: controleer of de waterkoker is uitgeschakeld voordat u de kan van de stander neemt. WAARSCHUWING: risico van verwonding als dit apparaat niet correct wordt gebruikt. Het de oppervlakte van het 16

18 warmte-element blijft na gebruik nog een tijd zeer warm. De buitenoppervlakken kunnen tijdens de werking zeer warm worden. WAARSCHUWING: mors geen vloeistof op de aansluiting. BELANGRIJKE VEILIGHEIDSVOORZORGEN Zet het apparaat voor gebruik neer op een stabiele, vlakke ondergrond. Wees voorzichtig als u meteen nadat het water kookt het deksel opent. De stoom die uit de waterkoker ontsnapt is uiterst heet en houdt een gevaar van brandwonden in. Gebruik de waterkoker niet voor het opwarmen van andere zaken dan water. Vul de waterkoker nooit voorbij de markering van het maximumpeil. Controleer of de onderkant van de waterkoker en de stander droog zijn voordat u de waterkoker op de stander neerzet. 19 WERKING Het is raadzaam voor de eerste ingebruikname de waterkoker 2 tot 3 keer te gebruiken volgens de onderstaande instructies. Dit zal alle stof en fabricageresten verwijderen. 1. Neem de waterkoker van de stander. 2. Vul de waterkoker via de tuit of het geopende deksel met de gewenste hoeveelheid koud water. Open het deksel door te drukken op de losmaakknop. Vul de waterkoker niet tot voorbij het MAX-pijl om overlopen te voorkomen. 3. Druk het deksel neer tot u een klikgeluid hoort. 4. Zet de waterkoker op de stander met stroomvoeding en stop de stekker in een stopcontact. 5. Druk op de stroomschakelaar. Het water warmt nu op. De stroomindicator brandt. 6. De waterkoker schakelt automatisch uit als het water kookt. De stroomindicator dooft. U kunt het kookproces ook eerder stoppen door de stroomschakelaar naar de stand O te schakelen. 7. Til de waterkoker voorzichtig van de stander met stroomvoeding en giet dan langzaam het kokend water uit. OPMERKING: gebruik de waterkoker alleen met gesloten deksel en als de filter is ingezet. 20 Als u de waterkoker zonder water laat werken, zal de waterketel automatisch stoppen met verwarmen en uitschakelen. In dit geval moet u de waterkoker laten afkoelen voordat u hem met koud water vult en weer laat koken. REINIGEN EN ONTKALKEN Haal voor het schoonmaken altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat afkoelen. Gebruik geen chemicaliën, staalwol of schurende reinigers om dit apparaat schoon te maken. Droog zorgvuldig. Verwijder de netfilter uit de tuit. Reinig deze onder stromend water en zet dan terug in. Gebruik geen schurende of chemische reinigingsmiddelen. Dompel de waterkoker en de stander met stroomvoeding nooit onder in water. Ontkalk de waterkoker regelmatig met een speciaal daartoe bestemde ontkalker. Veeg de binnenkant van de waterkoker schoon met een schone doek. TECHNISCHE GEGEVENS Nominale waarden: V~ 50/60 Hz W 19
