The wonderful smell of fresh spring signals that a new beginning is upon us. Birds are chirping as the crocuses stick their heads out and the cattle are grazing outside. A new season has sprung. In the bedroom, warm flannels are making way for light, fresh duvet covers. Blankets can been stashed away in the closet and spring cushions are finding their way back onto our beds. De zon begint voorzichtig weer kracht te krijgen, we komen onze warme cocon weer uit. Die heerlijke geuren van een frisse lente, betekenen een nieuw begin. Vogels die fluiten, krokussen die opsteken, de koeien gaan naar buiten. Een nieuw seizoen breekt aan. In de slaapkamer maakt het warme flanel plaats voor een licht fris knisperende dekbedovertrek. In the Nautic Dream pattern (page 94), nautical elements are used in combination with romantic lyrics to create the ultimate holiday experience. 11 BEDDINGHOUSE The new spring collection comprises fresh colours, yet minor touches such as yellow and red can also be found. In the cotton collection, the colour blue plays a prominent part. In the Curaçao pattern, all shades of sea-green, from grey-blue right up to indigo, are available. From up close, it is not difficult to notice the play of lines on the covers, whereas, at a distance, it almost appears even. That allows for various colours and styles to be combined. The different patterns vary from 100% cotton to the softest satin duvet covers. The various printing methods, photo printing and digital printing provide a nice variety in the collection. Binnen de nieuwe voorjaars collectie vinden frisse kleuren, maar ook kleine accenten zoals geel en rood een rol. In de katoen collectie speelt blauw een belangrijke rol. Bij het dessin Curaçao komen alle schakeringen van zeegroen via grijsblauw tot aan indigo aan bod. Van dichtbij kun je zien dat er een spannend lijnenspel plaatsvindt op het overtrek, terwijl het op afstand bijna effen lijkt. Hierdoor is het met ontzettend veel stijlen en kleuren te combineren. De verschillende dessins variëren van 100% katoen tot het meest zachte satijnen dekbedovertrekken. De verschillende manieren van drukken, fotoprint en digitale print geven een mooie verscheidenheid in de collectie.

123 BEDDINGHOUSE IVORY This year s Ivory collection consists of luxurious materials and designs. All the designs bring attention to detail whereby making everything look very refined. Melville is finished in beautiful shiny cotton satin combined with cotton. This creates a wonderful contrast between gloss and matte. The Turnberry design is composed of strips filled with beautiful graphics and natural motifs. Flowers in shades of grey blend harmoniously into different snake prints. By contrast, Shine is a timeless classic duvet cover. A beautiful white satin stripe is enriched with a luxurious Oxford edge on the pillow covers. The Hartford cover is a totally different design. The words Love, Sunshine and Flowers make me happy in beautifully decorative letters are complimented by lush elegant flowers. Scotney provides an elegant and timeless duvet. The snake print finished in vertical strips gives the design a wonderful, classic look. De collectie van Ivory bestaat dit voor jaar uit luxe materialen en designs. 140 BEDDINGHOUSE KIDS In the attic, with my drawing table at the window, I lose myself in the beautiful, wonderful world of illustration. It is very labour intensive, yet also very inspiring to draw everything by hand, then to cut and paste all the shapes to create a very personal and unique world. It is a celebration and a journey of discovery to reuse old clothing, used fabrics, threads, material and waste material in my illustrations. Op zolder, met mijn tekentafel voor het raam, verlies ik mijzelf in de mooie, bijzondere wereld van het illustreren. Het is heel arbeidsintensief, maar zeer inspirerend om alles met de hand te tekenen, alle figuurtjes uit te knippen en te plakken, om zo een heel eigen en unieke wereld te creeëren. Het is een feestje en een ontdekkinstocht om oude kleding, gebruikte stofjes, draadjes en (afval)materiaal te hergebruiken in mijn illustraties. Ik wil verwondering, blijheid, een glimlach overbrengen in het werk dat ik maak, wat recht uit mijn hart komt en waar ik met zoveel plezier en passie mee bezig ben!
