Inleiding Vandaag gaan we Wordpress installeren, we leren hoe je het kunt aanpassen aan je eigen wensen. Er is heel veel mogelijk met Wordpress, allerlei programmeurs wereldwijd ontwikkelen plugins of thema s die je weblog mooier kunnen maken of meer functies kunnen geven. 1. Installeren van Wordpress Wat heb je nodig? - Inloggegevens van je hostingbedrijf (FTP) - Naam van de database + wachtwoord - FTP Software Waar moet mijn webhosting aan voldoen? - PHP versie 4.2 of hoger - MySQL versie 3.23.23 of hoger - Apache module mod_rewrite (niet noodzakelijk, maar erg goed voor Google) 1. Download de laatste versie van Wordpress (http://wordpress.org/download/) 2. Pak het zipbestand uit en plaats het op je harde schijf 3. Maak een database voor Wordpress aan op de webserver (als de webhoster dat niet automatisch doet) 4. Wijzig de naam van wp-config-sample.php in wp-config.php 5. Open wp-config.php met kladblok en vul je database gegevens in 6. Plaats de Wordpress bestanden op de webserver via FTP * Als je Wordpress niet in de root wil hebben van je domein (www.hensel.nl/), maar bijvoorbeeld onder www.hensel.nl/blog, maak dan eerst dat mapje aan en kopieer dan alle bestanden naar de map. 7. Ga naar www.jedomein.nl/wp-admin/install.php en klik op First Step, Second Step. En klaar! 2. WordPress SEO plugin van Marketingop.us Options > General - Titel en tagline invullen met relevante keywords Options > Writing - Wordpress correct invalid XHTML aanvinken - Ping services invullen Options > Discussions - Aanvinken Attempt to notify any Weblogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.) - Aanvinken Allow link notifications from other Weblogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.) 1 - Hold a comment in the queue if it contains more than links Ik gebruik maar één omdat ik zo min mogelijk spam reakties op mijn weblog wil, en de zoekmachines pikken dit sneller op dan dat ik het zelf kan verwijderen. Options > Permalinks Gebruik niet de Default optie, kies de date and name based. Ik zelf gebruik alleen maar de postname. Zo voeg je veel keywords toe in je URLs. (Google vind het ook belangrijker of minder belangrijk afhankelijk van hoe diep het bestand is weggestopt op de website. Bijvoorbeeld www.domein.nl/map/map/map/hierpashetbestand. Het kan verstandig zijn om een extra categorie map toe te voegen om extra keywords in je URL te krijgen. Wees er zeker van dat je de.htaccess schrijfbaar hebt door de server, so dat de permalinks daadwerkelijk effect hebben. In je hoofdmenu staat Users, vul relevante zinnen en keywords in bij About yourself. Haal alle blogroll links uit Links, de links die er staan vermeld zijn niet belangrijk voor je website. Ga naar Manage en verander alle categorien in belangrijke keywords waar je je op richt. Vul ook de categorie omschrijving in. Als je nu aan gaat bloggen, zorg er dan voor dat je goede keywords hebt in de: 1. Titel 2. Algemene tekst per blog / pagina 3. Excerpt van een blog. 4. Post slug 5. 6. Overige tips Flickr Zet hier je foto s online, gemakkelijk op je blog zetten, als je ze nodig hebt.
