Curriculum vitae and publications Curriculum vitae Gideon de Jong was born in Assen (The Netherlands) on March 6th, 1982. He earned his bachelor degree in Nursing in 2004 at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, and his MSc degree in Educational Sciences in 2008 at the University of Groningen. From 2008 until 2013 he worked as a researcher and teacher at the University of Groningen. From 2011 until 2014 he also held a position as a researcher at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences. Besides, he worked as a mental health nurse for GGZ Drenthe from 2004 until 2013. His scientific research combined empirical research with qualitative content analysis regarding the field of public mental health care, focusing on Family Group Conferencing and social network involvement. Since September 2014 he has been working as a researcher at the Department of Medical Humanities, part of the VU University Medical Centre in Amsterdam.
