1 Acknowledgement Acknowledgement This study is part of TREND (Trauma RElated Neuronal Dysfunction), a Dutch Consortium that integrates research on epidemiology, assessment technology, pharmacotherapeutics, biomarkers and genetics on Complex Regional Pain Syndrome type 1. The consortium aims to develop concepts on disease mechanisms that occur in response to tissue injury, its assessment and treatment. TREND is supported by a government grant (BSIK03016). 149

5 Curriculum Vitae Curriculum Vitae Annetje Monique de Rooij werd geboren op 28 juli 1978 in Amsterdam. In 1996 behaalde zij haar VWO diploma aan het Canisius College Mater Dei te Nijmegen. In datzelfde jaar begon zij met de studie Bèta-Gamma-Propedeuse aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. In 1997 haalde zij daar haar psychologie propedeuse. Vervolgens begon zij in 1997 de studie Beleid en Management in de Gezondheidszorg aan de Erasmus Universiteit te Rotterdam. In 1998 lootte zij eindelijk in voor Geneeskunde en startte deze studie tevens aan de Erasmus Universiteit te Rotterdam. Zij behaalde haar artsexamen in In 2005 is ze begonnen als artsonderzoeker op de afdeling Neurologie van het Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum onder supervisie van Prof. dr. Bob van Hilten, dr. Han Marinus en dr. Arn van Maagdenberg. Het hoofdonderwerp van haar promotie onderzoek betrof de genetische en epidemiologische aspecten van het Complex Regionaal Pijn Syndroom. Dit onderzoek werd uitgevoerd binnen het Trauma RElated Neuronal Dysfunction (TREND) consortium. Naast wetenschappelijk onderzoeker was zij bestuurslid van de vereniging voor arts onderzoekers. In september 2009 begon zij als arts assistent revalidatiegeneeskunde in het Rijnlands Revalidatie Centrum Leiden. Per 1 februari 2010 is zij in het Sophia revalidatie centrum Den Haag in opleiding tot revalidatiearts (Opleider M. Terburg). Momenteel is zij werkzaam op de afdeling revalidatie in het Maasstad ziekenhuis Rotterdam. Annetje Monique de Rooij was born on the 28 th of July 1978 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She attended secondary school at Canisius College Mater Dei in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and graduated in In the same year she started the study Beta- Gamma-Propedeuse at the University of Amsterdam, in which she obtained a first year diploma for Psychology. In 1997 she started the study Health Policy and Management at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. She started medical school at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam in 1998 and in 2004 she obtained her medical degree. In 2005 she started to work as a PhD student at the department of Neurology of the Leiden University Medical Center under the supervision of Prof. dr. Bob van Hilten, Dr. Han Marinus and Dr. Arn van den Maagdenberg. The main focus of her work was on the genetic and epidemiological aspect of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. This study was performed within the Trauma Related Neuronal Dysfunction (TREND) consortium. In September 2009 she started a residency in Rehabilitation Medicine at the Rijnlands Rehabilitation Center, Leiden. As of februari 2010 she has started her medical specialist training in Rehabilitation Medicine at the Sophia Rehabilitation Center The Hague, and is currently working at the Maasstad hospital in Rotterdam. 153
