Travel Survey Questionnaires Prot of Rotterdam and TU Delft, 16 June, 2009 Introduction To improve the accessibility to the Rotterdam Port and the efficiency of the public transport systems at the Rotterdam Port area, a new public transport system is suggested and designed. This new system, namely Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) as shown in the picture, is an automated, driverless, on-demand, maximum 6 people sharing one cabin service system. This system is characterized by a constant speed of 40km/hour, short waiting time-less than 2 minutes, no intermediate stops between access station and destination, and flexible schedule. Map of PRT area This survey is set up by Delft University of Technology in cooperation with the Port of Rotterdam and has the objective to investigate the feasibility of such a new Personal Rapid Transit system in the parts of the port area. The survey is composed of three parts. You are only required to answer partly the questions in the second part, only as far as they apply to your personal situations.
