7 WEDSTRIJDREGLEMENT / RACE REGULATIONS 1. Algemene bepalingen / General conditions Artikel 1.1 De 62e Ronde van Midden-Nederland, hierna te noemen de wedstrijd, wordt op 26 augustus 2018 georganiseerd door de Stichting Wielerpromotie Midden-Nederland, hierna te noemen de organisatie, welke tevens houder is van de wedstrijdlicentie (via de KNWU), de vergunningen en ontheffingen. Deze stukken zijn ter inzage en beschikbaar bij de secretaris van de organisatie. Article 1.1 The 62th Ronde van Midden-Nederland, hereafter called the race, will take place on August 26, 2018, and is organised by Stichting Wielerpromotie Midden-Nederland, hereafter called the organisation, which is at the same time holder of the race license (KNWU), the permits and dispensations. These documents are available for review from the secretary of the organization. Artikel 1.2 De wedstrijd wordt betwist door de categorieën Heren Elite en Beloften, en is ingedeeld in de klasse UCI 1.2. De wedstrijd maakt deel uit van de UCI Europe Tour. In overeenstemming met het UCI- reglement worden er aan de hand van de individuele uitslag punten toegekend voor dit klassement. De punten zijn vermeld in de bijlage. Article 1.2 The race is being judged according to the categories of Men Elite and U23, and the category of the race is UCI 1.2. The race is part of the UCI Europe Tour. In agreement with the UCI regulations, the points will be awarded for this classification. The points table can be found in the attachments. Artikel 1.3 De wedstrijd staat, conform artikel van het UCI-reglement, open voor Professional Continental teams uit Nederland, maximaal 2 buitenlandse Professional Continental Teams, Continental Teams, Nationale Selecties, Regionale Teams en Club Teams. In overeenstemming met artikel van dit reglement is het aantal renners per ploeg minimaal 5 en maximaal 7. De inschrijving voor de teams vindt plaats via Cyclingservice, na selectie door de organisatie. Article 1.3 This race is, in agreement with article of the UCI regulations, open for Professional Continental Teams from The Netherlands and two pro-continental teams from abroad, Continental Teams, National Teams, Regional and Club Teams. In agreement with article of the UCI regulations, the number of riders per team should be a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 7. The subscription for the teams will take place through Cycling Service, after selection by the organisation. Artikel 1.4 De wedstrijd wordt verreden onder auspiciën van, en volgens de reglementen, jaarlijkse besluiten en nadere bepalingen en instructies van de UCI, de KNWU en de organisatie. Article 1.4 The race is held under the supervision of and according to the regulations, annual amendments and further stipulations and instructions of the UCI, the KNWU and the organisation. Artikel 1.5 Op de individuele uitslag van de wedstrijd is het prijzenschema van de UCI-klasse 1.2 van toepassing. Dit schema wordt vermeld in de bijlage. Alle geldbedragen, zowel prijzengelden als eventuele vergoedingen, worden achteraf uitbetaald via Cyclingservice. Article 1.5

8 For the individual classification the prize scheme for the UCI Category 1.2 is applicable. The prizes are listed in the attachments. All amounts, both prices and compensations, will be paid through Cycling Service. Artikel 1.6 Het straffenbarema van de UCI is van toepassing op deze wedstrijd. Article 1.6 The penalty scheme of the UCI is applicable in this race. Artikel 1.7 Bij het niet nakomen van dit reglement wordt de betreffende renner uit de wedstrijd genomen, of vinden anderszins sancties plaats tegen de betreffende renner/ begeleider. Article 1.7 If a rider does not follow these rules and regulations, the rider or team member may be expelled from this race or the escort involved may be subjected to sanctions. Artikel 1.8 In die gevallen waar het wedstrijdreglement, noch de reglementen van de UCI / KNWU in voorziet, beslist in wedstrijdtechnische aangelegenheden het College van Wedstrijdcommissarissen. In alle andere gevallen beslist de organisatie. Article 1.8 In situations that are not anticipated by these regulations, the commissaires will decide on issues concerning racerelated aspects, and the organization will decide on issues concerning organisational aspects. Artikel 1.9 Voor het indienen van protesten dient men zich te richten tot de voorzitter van de jury direct na de wedstrijd. De juryvoorzitter is bereikbaar in de jurywagen. Article 1.9 A protest can be filed with the president of the commissaires panel immediately after the race. The president can be found in the commissaire unit. Artikel 1.10 De organisatoren dragen geen enkele verantwoordelijkheid voor ongevallen en/of schade aan derden, zowel vóór, tijdens als na de wedstrijd. Article 1.10 The organisation does not accept any liability for accidents and/or damages to third parties, neither before, during nor after the race. Artikel 1.11 De organisatie hecht veel belang aan het milieu en de omgeving. De deelnemers wordt gevraagd geen afval in de omgeving weg te gooien anders dan in de daartoe gemarkeerde groene zone direct na de ravitaillering en bij de finish (eerste doorkomst) Article 1.11 For the organisation the environment is very important. Participants are asked not to litter alongside the road other than in the indicated Green Zone, which is located just after the feeding zone and around the finish (first passage). 2. Wedstrijdinformatie / Race Conditions Artikel 2.1

9 De afstand van de wedstrijd bedraagt ca. 198 km. De route van de wedstrijd is uitgepijld. (oranje borden met pijl) De deelnemers worden geacht op de hoogte te zijn van de te volgen route, en van de reglementen, besluiten, bepalingen en instructies van de UCI, de KNWU en de organisatie. Article 2.1 The race amounts to the distance of 198 km. The route of the race is signposted. (orange signs with arrows) The participants are expected to be informed about the route to follow, and of the regulations, stipulations and instructions of the UCI, the KNWU and the organisation. Artikel 2.2 De definitieve deelnemerslijst wordt door de organisatie tijdig afgegeven aan de ploegleiders en juryleden in de permanence. Eventueel is de lijst ook te verkrijgen aan de start. Article 2.2 The final list of participants will be handed timely to the team managers and the commissaires in the Race Headquarters. If possible, the list is also available at the start location of the race. Artikel 2.3 Het uitreiken van de rugnummers en kaderplaatjes vindt plaats op zondag 26 augustus 2018 vanaf uur tot uiterlijk uur in de permanence. De rugnummers dienen door de ploegleider of diens gemachtigde te worden afgehaald op vertoon van de geldige licentie van de deelnemers en begeleiders. Na afloop van de wedstrijd hoeven de rugnummers niet te worden ingeleverd. Article 2.3 The distribution of the body numbers and frame numbers takes place on Sunday 26 August, from 09.00h but no later than 10.15h in the Permanence (Race Headquarters). The body numbers should be picked up by the team manager or someone empowered on his behalf with proof of the valid licenses of the participants and staff. After the race the numbers do not need to be returned. Artikel 2.4 Er wordt gebruik gemaakt van digitale chipmeting. De transponders worden verzorgd door de KNWU en worden uitgereikt tegelijkertijd met de rugnummers. Nederlandse renners beschikken reeds over een transponder. Deze transponders moeten direct na afloop bij de jurywagen worden ingeleverd. Alle renners dienen met de juiste transponder aan de start te verschijnen. Article 2.4 Digital time registration will be used. The transponders will be provided by KNWU and will be distributed together with the numbers. Dutch riders already have transponders used by the system of KNWU. After the race, these transponders have to be returned directly to the commissaire unit. All riders have to start with a correct transponder. Artikel 2.5 De wedstrijdinformatie zal worden verstrekt via Radio Tour. De frequentie hiervan is MHz. Article 2.5 Race information will be given on Radio Tour. The frequency is MHz. Artikel 2.6 Er bevinden zich twee bezemwagens in de karavaan, één voor renners en één voor materiaal. De bezemwagen voor materiaal is herkenbaar aan de bezem aan de achterzijde, en is de laatste wagen in de karavaan. Article 2.6 There are two broomcars in the race, one for riders and one for material. The broomcar for the material is recognizable by the broom and is the last vehicle in the race.

10 Artikel 2.7 De deelnemers en hun begeleiders zijn verplicht alle aanwijzingen van politie, jury en de door de organisatie aangestelde officials en medewerkers op te volgen. Het negeren van deze aanwijzingen zal minimaal leiden tot een startverbod of uitsluiting van de wedstrijd. Article 2.7 The riders and their escorts are obliged to follow all instructions from the police, the commissaires and officials and support staff, appointed by the organisation. The disregard of these instructions will at least result into a disqualification from the race. Artikel 2.8 De medische verzorging tijdens de wedstrijd is in handen van ronde-arts dr. L. van Straten en personeel van EHBO Vereniging Zuilen. Er is een ambulance en een ambulance motard aanwezig in de wedstrijdkaravaan. De ziekenhuizen langs de route staan vermeld in de bijlage. Article 2.8 The medical care during the race is provided by doctor L. van Straten and paramedics of the EHBO Vereniging Zuilen. There is also an ambulance present in the caravan. The hospitals along the route are listed in the attachments. Artikel 2.9 Een eventuele anti-doping controle zal plaatsvinden in de dopingunit van Sportscom. Deze unit bevindt zich direct naast de jurywagen. De voor deze controle aangewezen renners zullen vanaf de finish tot aan de dopingunit worden begeleid door chaperones, die door of namens de organisatie worden aangesteld. Article 2.9 The eventual Anti-doping control will take place in the doping unit of Sportscom. This unit is situated close to the commissaire unit. The assigned riders will be escorted from the finish to the doping unit by chaperones, who are appointed by or on behalf of the organisation. 3. Zondag 26 augustus 2018 / Sunday 26 August 2018 Artikel 3.1 De start en finish van de wedstrijd is op de busbaan ter hoogte van Orteliuslaan 982 te Utrecht. De deelnemers stellen zich op voor de start op de Orteliuslaan op aanwijzingen van de organisatie en de jury. Het tekenen van de presentielijst vóór de start is verplicht. Dit kan vanaf ca uur op het intekenpodium in de directe nabijheid van de start. Hierbij worden tevens de ploegen voorgesteld volgens een tijdschema dat wordt uitgereikt tijdens de ploegleidersvergadering. Article 3.1 The start and finish of the race are situated at the Buslane, Orteliuslaan 982 in Utrecht. The riders assemble at the start as directed by the commissaires and the organisation. The signing of the attendance roster is mandatory before the start. This is possible starting from hours in the immediate vicinity of the start. During the signing the teams will be introduced, according to a time schedule that will be handed over during the meeting of the team managers. Artikel 3.2 De geneutraliseerde start van de wedstrijd vindt plaats op zondag 26 augustus om uur precies. De deelnemers zijn verplicht ten minste 10 minuten vóór de start aanwezig te zijn, voorzien van de door de organisatie uitgereikte en duidelijk zichtbaar en reglementair aangebrachte rugnummers. Ook het via de organisatie uitgereikte kaderplaatje dient op de juiste wijze aan de fiets te zijn bevestigd. De reële start van de wedstrijd vindt plaats op de Waterlinieweg, ter hoogte van het stadion Galgenwaard. De neutralisatie heeft een lengte van ca. 5,0 km.

11 Article 3.2 The neutralized start of the race will take on Sunday, 26 August at exactly 12.45h. The riders are required to appear at least 10 minutes before the start, being in the possession of their body numbers, which were distributed by the organisation and must be clearly visible. Also the frame numbers and the transponders should be mounted at the correct position on the bicycle. The official start of the race is situated at the Waterlinieweg near stadium Galgenwaard. The neutralisation amounts to the distance of 5,0 km. Artikel 3.3 Voor zover bevoegd en daartoe voorzien van een organisatie- en/of KNWU-strook en radio-ontvanger, stellen de voertuigen van de volgerskaravaan zich op op de Orteliuslaan op aanwijzingen van de organisatie. Het meerijden in de karavaan door niet-officiële personen en/of voertuigen is verboden. Zij zullen, eventueel in overleg met de wedstrijdleiding, door de begeleidende politie-escorte uit de karavaan worden verwijderd. Article 3.3 As far as authorized and equipped with a slip of the organisation and/or the KNWU and a radio receiver, the vehicles of the following caravan will line up at the Orteliuslaan. The joining by non-official personnel and/or vehicles is forbidden. In agreement with the race management they will be removed from the caravan by the police escort. Artikel 3.4 Op de punten die gevaar kunnen opleveren, worden door de organisatie personen met een gele vlag en fluit geplaatst. De deelnemers dienen de op deze wijze aangegeven punten de uiterste attentie en voorzichtigheid te betrachten. Article 3.4 At locations that might be dangerous, the organisation will place officials with a yellow flag and a whistle. The riders need to navigate at these locations with the utmost attention and care. Artikel 3.5 De verzorging vindt plaats op de Autoweg te Remmerden, na 86,5km. Article 3.5 The feeding zone is situated at the Autoweg in Remmerden, after 86.5 km. Artikel 3.6 NHT Vision zal vanuit 3 volgwagens en één motor voorzien in de verzorging van neutraal materiaal tijdens de wedstrijd. Article 3.6 NHT Vision will provide technical assistance with 3 neutral cars and 1 motor during the race. Artikel 3.7 Het is ten strengste verboden voor de renners en/of hun begeleiders om gebruik te maken van de naast de weg gelegen fietspaden. Article 3.7 It is strictly forbidden for the riders and/or their escorts to make use of the cycling paths along the side of the road. Artikel 3.8 Renners die op een grotere achterstand dan 5 minuten t.o.v. het peloton rijden, zullen door de jury of de politie uit de wedstrijd worden gehaald. Article 3.8 Riders with a gap larger than 5 minutes behind the bunch will be taken out of the race by the commissaires or the police.

12 Artikel 3.9 De wedstrijd sluit uiterlijk circa 20 minuten na aankomst van de winnaar. (De maximaal toegestane achterstand op de winnaar bedraagt 8% van de tijd van de winnaar) of direct na aankomst van de bezemwagen. Article 3.9 The race closes latest about 20 minutes after the arrival of the winner (maximum allowed distance behind the winner is 8% of the time of the winner) or immediately after the arrival of the broomcar. 4. Klassementen en prijzen / Classifications and Prizes Artikel 4.1 Jongerenklassement voor alle deelnemers in de categorie U23. Article 4.1 Young rider classification for all riders in category U23. Artikel 4.2 Bergklassement: tijdens de wedstrijd worden zes premiesprints voor het Bergklassement verreden, na resp. 25,7 km (Pyramide van Austerlitz), 39,3 km (Ruiterberg), 55,6 km (Amerongse Berg), 80,4 km (1e passage Grebbeberg), 108,7 km (2e passage Grebbeberg) en 112,5 km (Paardenveld). Vijf verschillende beklimmingen zijn genomineerd voor het bergklassement. De beklimmingen zijn ingedeeld in de zelfde categorie. Bij elke sprint: voor de eerste drie aankomenden resp. 3, 2 en 1 punt. Winnaar wordt degene die na de zes sprints de meeste punten heeft behaald. Bij een gelijke stand is het aantal gewonnen sprints beslissend. Is de stand dan nog gelijk, dan is de uitslag van de wedstrijd beslissend. Om de prijs te winnen, dient de renner de wedstrijd op een reglementaire manier uit te rijden. De prijzen en het reglement voor dit klassement zijn vermeld in de bijlage. Article 4.2 Mountain sprint classification: During the race 6 sprints are part of this classification, after 25.7 km (Pyramide Austerlitz), 39.3 km (Ruiterberg), 55.6 km (Amerongse Berg), 80.4 km (1e passage Grebbeberg), km (2e passage Grebbeberg) and km (Paardenveld). Five different climbs are nominated for the Mountain Classification. All climbs are listed in the same category. At each sprint the first three riders will get 3, 2 and 1 point respectively. Winner of the classification is the rider with most points after 6 sprints. When having equal points the number of sprints won is decisive. When this is also equal the result of the race is decisive. In order to win the prize the rider has to finish the race. Prizes and regulations can be found in the attachment.
