3 Introduction NVA Dear colleagues, On behalf of the board of the Dutch Arthroscopy Society I want to invite you to our annual meeting, which will be held in the conference centre De Heerlickheijd in Ermelo on Friday March 20, The organizing committee realized a beautiful program by inviting experts in the field of arthroscopy. This year we will focus on arthroscopy in relation to intra-articular fracture treatment. Is the arthroscope a useful tool in this kind of surgery, or is it a waste of time or only for freaks? You will find out! Arthroscopy, the core business of our Society, has a backside: although the complication rate is very low, we cannot cure all intra-articular problems. Arthroscopy is just a tool. If you are skilled in using this tool, keep in mind that there is a backside of arthroscopy! The goals of this meeting are to improve your knowledge and skills and to have fun. Don t miss the keynote lectures from our international guests, the mini-battle by our outstanding professors of traumatology and the Beijing experience. This meeting should be part of your life-long learning process in arthroscopy and hope to see you in Ermelo. Hotel Hotel accommodation can be booked through the congress organization until March 1st. Cancellations after March 1st will be refunded at 50%. After March 17th no refund on hotelrooms can be made. Cancellation Cancellations are accepted until March 1st, 2009; a refund will be made minus EUR 25 for administration costs. 9 Workshop Depuy Mitek Geachte participanten, Namens DePuy Mitek nodigen wij u graag uit om tijdens het jaarcongres Backside of Arthroscopy van de NVA deel te nemen aan de Workshop Knie- en Schouderarthroscopie. De arthroscopische technieken en fixatie materialen ontwikkelen zich in een snel tempo. Tijdens deze workshop willen wij u kennis laten maken met onze innovaties op het gebied van de arthroscopische technieken en ons brede educatieve programma. Eén van deze innovaties is de samenstelling van de materialen. Bio-Replaceable compositie materialen zullen de sleutel gaan vormen in de arthroscopische praktijk. DePuy Mitek heeft inmiddels een vierjarige follow-up van deze materialen (PLGA + TCP, TriCalcium Phosphate osteoconductive bioceramics ). Op verschillende werkstations kunt u zich een aantal arthroscopische vaardigheden hands-on eigen maken met behulp van een aantal nieuwe Bio-Replaceable fixatie materialen voor de schouder en de knie. Wij hopen hiermee een bijdrage te kunnen leveren aan onze missie voor de toekomst: Restoring the Joys of an Active Life with the Restoration of Anatomy.
