3 Innovatie essentieel voor Europa Europe 2020 strategie: - Respond to the economic crisis to invest in future jobs and growth - Address people s concerns about their livelihoods, safety and environment - Strengthen the EU s global position in research, innovation and technology 3

4 Wat is Horizon 2020? Hét Europese programma voor onderzoek & innovatie ( ) Voorzetting van drie bestaande programma s: KP7, CIP en EIT Subsidiebudget van ruim 70 miljard euro (in onderhandeling) 4

5 Wat blijft hetzelfde als in KP7? Veel KP7-thema s komen gewoon terug: ERC, Marie Curie, ICT, Nano, Health, Energy, Transport, etc. Werkwijze van Calls for proposals (subsidierondes) blijft 5

6 Wat is nieuw? (1) Meer nadruk op innovatie: Van onderzoek naar vermarkting, alle vormen van innovatie Bijvoorbeeld: - Industriegedreven publiek-private partnerschappen - Grootschalige demonstratieprojecten - Pilot productie/fabricage - Innovatief aanbesteden Nieuwe rollen voor bijvoorbeeld MKB, publieke organisaties, eindgebruikers 6

7 Wat is nieuw? (2) Nieuwe regels voor deelname Subsidie berekenen eenvoudiger: - Subsidie 100% behalve 70% close-to-market activiteiten bedrijven - Eén overheadvergoeding, een flat rate van 25% van directe kosten Verder: - Kortere time-to-grant - BTW kosten subsidiabel (indien niet terugvorderbaar) - Maximaal 1 audit per project - Digitaal ondertekenen van documenten - 7
