6 Wat is een LCF? LCF = luchtverdedigings- en commandofregatten (LC-fregatten). Taken: Het verdedigen van maritieme taakgroepen het ondersteunen van amfibisch en landoptreden het uitvoeren van maritime security operations in de toekomst Ballistic Missile Defence Deze fregatten zijn tussen 2002 en 2005 in dienst gesteld Bereiken vanaf 2032 het einde van de levensduur.

12 Platform High resiliency in case part of the system should fail for any reason; Automatic control units for essentials such as power management, propulsion, ballast; Management functions that allow on the fly reassignment of groups of machinery to an operator based on a given watch state or on request of a commanding officer; Alarm escalation features that will address surveying operators; Integration of damage, surveillance and control applications to make crew members aware of critical situations and assisting operators to make the right decisions; Support operator s awareness by assigning CCTV images to alarm occurrences; On board training facilities that allow operators to prepare for real-life situations.
