1 Curriculum Vitae dr. Kees Ribbens Netherlands Institute for War Documentation Kees Ribbens is a researcher at the Netherlands Institute for War Documentation in Amsterdam, which is part of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). Furthermore, he is research associate of the Center for Historical Culture at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He graduated cum laude in modern history in 1991 (University of Nijmegen). Ribbens received his PhD degree in 2001 (Utrecht University). During his participation in the Dutch graduate school of cultural history (Huizinga Instituut), , he visited Indiana University, USA and Universitetet i Oslo, Norway. He has worked as researcher and teacher at the University of Nijmegen and the Utrecht University. From 2004 to 2006 he worked as a postdoc fellow at the History Department of Erasmus University Rotterdam.
