Very appetising, with the oak well hidden. Much better than some dry whites from Pessac-Léognan. Sophisticated. Attractive stoniness on the end - a tribute to Sancerre? Neil Martin The Wine Advocate 90-92 The 2015 Clos Floridène Blanc from Denis and Florence Dubourdieu has a subtle but complex bouquet with scents of white peach, citrus fruit and a touch of patisserie. The palate is very well-balanced and quite phenolic in the mouth, some lovely extract here imparting a slightly waxy texture. The acidity is keen and there is impressive tension and energy on the finish. It will drink young as usual, however, such is its complexity that I am more intrigued to discover how it will age. Do as you will. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2030. Château Olivier 2015 Pessac Léognan Blanc Neil Martin The Wine Advocate 90-92 The 2015 Château Olivier Blanc has a lively citrus and lime flowerscented bouquet, with pear and almost granitic notes surfacing with aeration. The palate is very wellbalanced with crispy acidity green apple, gooseberry and a twist of sour lemon toward the finish. There is something almost Loire-like here, perhaps a little Sancerre-like in style, but irrespective of stylistic semblances, the bottom line is that this constitutes a very fine white Bordeaux that will be delicious from the word go.

Château Malartic Lagravière 2015 Pessac Léognan Blanc La Revue de Vin de France 16,5 17,5/20 Richesse de matière avec une très belle maturité du sauvignon offrant une bouche tout en rondeur. Ce millésime donne de la longueur et de l expression au blanc de Malartic. On aime sa finale sapide et saline. Château Haut Bergeron 2015 Sauternes Als naaste buur van Château d'yquem weet dit sympatieke château ons jaar na jaar weer te bekoren met overheerlijke sauternes-wijnen. De pourriture nobles was goed ontwikkeld en zorgde ervoor dat 2015 een droomjaar werd voor deze bescheiden speler. De mooie ronde smaak wordt ondersteund door een goede fraicheur, waardoor deze wijn één en al finesse uitstraalt. Uiteraard heeft dit alles te maken met een fijne acciditeit die van het begin tot het einde bekoort. Deze 2015 proeft zoals 2010. De smaak wordt gedomineerd door peperkoek, amandelen en kruidnagel. Dankzij de mooie acciditeit kan deze wijn al jong gedronken worden. Maar er is absoluut geen haast bij, want hij haalt gemakkelijk een bewaarpotentieel van 50 jaar en meer! Prijs kwaliteit meer dan de moeite waard! Revue du Vin de France 17,5-18/20 Six tries pour ce vin frais et très parfumé entre agrumes et ananas. Belle bouche tendue qui va d une attaque puissante à une finale très fine. Jolie dualité entre force et élégance. Un domaine qui monte chaque année. Bravo! Château Peyrou 2015 Côtes de Castillon Château Peyrou is gelegen te Saint Magne de Castillon op de grens met Saint-Emilion. Cathérine Papon Nouvel behoort zonder enige twijfel tot de meest dynamische van de regio (zij is ook eigenaar van Clos Saint Julien en Petit Gravet Aîné in Saint Emilion). Binnen de Bordeaux-regio is zij dé voortrekker van de biodynamische wijnbouw. Zij voelt de natuur als geen ander aan en weet steeds het beste van de druif naar boven te halen in haar wijnen. Haar ongebreidelde ambitie vinden we trouw terug in het nieuwe millésime 2015, waar ze ons een pracht van een wijn voorschotelt die voldoet aan alle verwachtingen van een topwijn in een topjaar. Deze diepdonkere, mooi geconcentreerde wijn charmeert in alle opzichten. Het aroma is explosief met in de neus heel veel vers fruit. Vol en rond in de mond, met opnieuw veel rijp fruit zoals frambozen, zwarte bessen en donkere kersen, afgerond met een licht gevanilleerd aroma. Het evenwicht tussen looizuren en aciditeit is perfect, zodat de structuur fluweelzacht aanvoelt. Heeft de allure van een grote Saint Emilion, maar dan in een ideale prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. 2015 is hier werkelijk een koopje: een grote wijn aan een laag prijsje! Jancis Robinson 16/20 Fresh and correct on the nose. Nicely restrained and all in balance. Some attractive mineral notes on the finish. Classic claret with good concentration. Jean-Marc Quarin 15/20 Propriété de Florence et Denis DubourdieuVin au fruité éclatant et pur construit avec esthétisme et non pas comme un simple Bordeaux à boirerapidement. Délicieux et de garde. Clos Floridène 2015 Graves Rouge Jancis Robinson 17/20 Intense nose combines opulence and precision. Mouth-filling and broad in scope. Very fresh. Lovely combination of appellation and vintage characters. Super-clean and brisk. Bravissimo! The Wine Spectator 89-92 A sleek wine, with tangy currant fruit, fresh spice and moderate toast. A mineral accent gilds the finish. Neil Martin The Wine Advocate 90-92 The 2015 Clos Floridène offers up luscious redcurrant, wild strawberry and floral scents on the nose, almost Burgundy-like in terms of purity. The palate is well balanced with fine but firm tannin, a little pinched at the moment, but by the time of bottling it will have undone its top-shirt button. Plenty of energy here, a Graves with a nod to Volnay, bound to offer 8-10 years of pleasure.

Château Malartic Lagravière 2015 Pessac Léognan Rouge Neal Martin The Wine Advocate 94-96 The 2015 Malartic-Lagraviere is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit. It has a tightly wound bouquet, a little more reticent than its peers at first, opening gradually with blackberry, raspberry coulis and strawberry pastilles. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannin, a keen line of acidity, fresh and brisk with plenty of mineralité on the finish. This is a classic, serious Malartic with huge potential. Chapeau to the Bonnie family for creating a stupendous Pessac-Léognan. La Revue du Vin de France 18-19/20 C est la première année qu une proportion significative de petit verdot (7%) entre dans l assemblage. Plantés en 2005, ils apportent de délicieux parfums épicés et floreaux, et confirment la pleine forme de Malartic. D une très belle structure, avec une masse de tannins présente en bouche, il se dévoile vigoureux. Bettane & Desseauve 17,5 18/20 Grand volume brillant, allonge fraîche, musclé et fin. Grande couleur, beaucoup de vinosité, de sérieux dans la constitution et finale très Léognan sur le graphite minéral. Profondeur et tension de très beau millésime. Dégusté quatre fois de façon constante dont une au château. Château Labegorce 2015 Margaux 2015 klimt met gemak op tot één der beste millésimes geproduceerd op dit domein. Een wijn met puur fruit, rechtlijnig, fris en mineraal. Zacht gepolijste aroma s en smaken van pruimen, rijpe zwarte kers, zoethout en zwarte chocolade stelen de show. Soepele, rijpe tannines zorgen voor een zachte streling op de tong. TOPPER IN MARGAUX! 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% merlot, 4% Petit Verdot en 2% Cabernet Franc. James Suckling 93-94 Wonderful purity of fruit here with blackberry, black currant and floral aromas and flavors. Full body. Fine tannins. Winespectator 87-90 Ripe plum and blackberry compote flavors are very direct, framed by a well-singed cedary edge. This has solid fruit, but it's a bit shy on refinement. J.M. Decanter 90. Big broad fruit and lots of structure and depth. Quite a chunky Labégorce with a good future. Wine Enthusiast 94-96. This is a beautiful wine, full of great fruit and balanced dusty tannins. It is ripe and stylish, with all the elements in place. It should mature well. Château Noaillac 2015 Médoc Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel Eigendom van de Familie Pagès. Romige, ronde en zachte Médoc. Soepele tannines en volfruitige smaak. Drinkbaar vanaf 2018 Decanter Nice Merlot-dominated wine; attractive and quite forward. Château Peyredon Lagravette 2015 Haut Médoc Deze telg van de familie Dupuch (Ch Sainte Marie in Entre Deux Mers) is één en al verleiding. Rijk aan fruit en een sappige structuur waarbij de mooi gepolijste tannines uitblinken. Een lekkere rode wijn met een zacht en elegant karakter. Markus Del Monego 87/100 Dark purple red with violet hue and almost black core. Dark berries and toasted gingerbread in the nose. On the palate well structured with medium body and length. Château Paloumey 2015 Haut Médoc In 1990 werd dit domein, ooit een Cru Bourgeois, nieuw leven ingeblazen door de super ambitieuze Martine Cazeneuve. Haar hoofddoel bestond erin om aanzien te verwerven als Cru Bourgeois en haar plaats op te eisen tussen de beste wijnen van de Haut Médoc. Hierin is ze met glans geslaagd: Château Paloumey is thans een Cru Bourgeois Supérieur, een echte Haut Médoc waardig. De wijnen zijn fruitig en krachtig en getuigen van een zelden geziene elegantie. Een wijn die zeker niet mag ontbreken in uw kelder Wine Enthousiast 93 This is a bold, fruity wine, with structured tannins and ripe berry fruits. There is a succulent, juicy character that adds to the richness of the wine, yet remains taut come the finish with balanced acidity.

Neal Martin The Wine Advocate 89-91 The 2015 Paloumey is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot. It has a perfumed, quite floral nose with rose petals infusing the red berry fruit, the oak nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple ripe red berry fruit, a gentle grip in the mouth, fresh and vibrant with a dash of spice on the muscular finish. It will mellow during élevage and turn into a thoroughly enjoyable Haut Médoc. Château Haut Batailley 2015 - Pauillac Neal Martin The Wine Advocate 92-94 The 2015 Haut Batailley is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot, matured in 60% new oak. It is a level up from the 2015 Lacoste Borie with much more fruit intensity: blackberry, boysenberry, tobacco and cedar aromas. It gathers momentum in the glass and develops a subtle mint accent. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, lithe tannin, very well balanced with just a slight tinniness that will disappear by the time in bottle. I love the pencil shaving sprinkled over the aftertaste here. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannin. It is structured and quite bold, considering the storm that swept across the appéllation during harvest, clearly a lot of sorting here that engenders a clean and pure wine with appreciable mineralité and tension on the foursquare finish. If released at a sensible price, then this would be a recommended Saint Estèphe to consumer over 10-12 years. Bettane & Desseauve 17-17,5/20 Élancé, frais, distingué, ample.
