6 CSN-Networks /3 Physical relaying Solution : use repeaters repeater regenerates the bit sequence from the received signal (i.e. demodulates it) and generates a new signal out of this bit sequence and sends it over the next line (may be with a different modulation scheme) Hence, this is a solution at the physical layer. dvantages of solution : Noise can be kept low (it is not amplified) We can minimize signal distortion Different media can be connected.
