4 SANTON INTRODUCTION PRODUCTS NEW DEVELOPMENTS CONTINUOUS GROWTH Solar market De laatste paar jaar is er een enorme groei gaande in de opwekking van renewable energie. Met name PV installaties verschijnen in grote getale op huizen en gebouwen. Deze PV installaties wekken hoge gelijkspanningen op,waarvan de gevaren voor de installateur, maar ook voor de brandweer, redelijk onbekend zijn.

5 SANTON INTRODUCTION PRODUCTS NEW DEVELOPMENTS FIREFIGHTER SAFETY SWITCH Why? - De PV panelen blijven spanning geven bij uitgeschakelde AC - Deze DC spanning is vaak hoger dan 120V en kan daarom gevaarlijk zijn - Afhankelijk van de DC spanning en de bescherming van de persoon, kan er een gevaarlijke stroom door het lichaam gaan - <2mA geen reactie, 2-25mA lichte spiersamentrekkingen, mA ongecontroleerde spiersamentrekkingen, >150mA ontregeling hartritme, of interne verbranding - Het verbreken van een DC stroom met hoge spanning geeft een gevaarlijke lichtboog met zeer hoge temperaturen
