2 Inleiding De Schloss transformatoren kunnen worden toegepast in combinatie met de 12 of 24V verwarmingsfolie. Algemeen De Schloss 230/12 of 24Vac transformatoren kunnen worden toegepast icm 12 of 24V verwarmingsfolie of andere applicaties. De transformator behuizing is voorzien van meerdere kabel doorvoeringen waarvan één is bestemd voor het aansluitsnoer met stekker. Een zekeringhouder is geplaats tussen de wartels. Deze zekeringhouder is aangesloten op het 230V circuit en een zekering is van toepassing met een waarde van maximaal 6A (traag). De transformator zelf is voorzien van een thermische veiligheid. Deze zelfherstellende veiligheid schakelt de spanning uit wanneer de transformator warmer wordt dan 120 C. Is de temperatuur gezakt naar 100 C, dan schakelt de zelfherstellende veiligheid weer in. Deze is verwerkt IN de transformator. Let op bij het aansluiten van de belasting (bijvoorbeeld verwarmingsfolie) dat u spanningsloos werkt, haal dus de stekker uit het stopcontact. Toepassing De Schloss transformator kan worden toegepast bij 12 of 24V installaties. Plaats de transformator altijd in een vrije ruimte, dus een ruimte die vrij toegankelijk is zonder beperkingen. Aansluiting De Schloss transformator kan eenvoudig worden aangesloten op een 12 of 24V belasting. Let wel dat bij een transformator van 300VA dat het aangesloten vermogen niet hoger ligt dan 300VA. De voorzijde (deksel) kan worden open geschroefd met een schroevendraaier. Het 230V circuit is volledig aangesloten. De keramische kroonsteen (2 polig) wordt aangesloten op de belasting.

3 Aansluiting thermostaat met 230v ingang/uitgang Een geschikte thermostaat kan worden aangesloten om de verwarmings elementen op basis van temperatuur te kunnen reguleren. Let wel dat dit een type moet zijn met vloersensor (in de handleiding van de verwarmingsfolie wordt omschreven hoe de sensor moet worden gemonteerd). Deze thermostaat word gevoed door 230V via de netspanning (L en N). De aansluitkabel van de transformator wordt aangesloten op de uitgang van deze thermostaat (L1 en N1). Controlleer altijd de aansluitingen goed na en verifieer dit met de bijgeleverde handleiding van de thermostaat!

4 Aansluiting thermostaat met spanningsvrije uitgang Een geschikte thermostaat, met een spanningsvrije uitgang, kan worden aangesloten. Let wel op dat deze uitgang geschikt is 230V en een maximale belasting kan schakelen van 1000W. Deze thermostaten zijn meestal batterij gevoed en zijn voorzien van een spanningsvrije uitgang en een externe sensor aansluiting. De bruine draad van de aansluitkabel wordt onderbroken en aangesloten op het aangegeven spanningsvrij contact. Meestal wordt dit op de thermostaat aangegeven als: COM, NO, NC. De betekenis is als volgt: COM (common = gezamelijk), NO (normally open = normaal open), NC (normally closed = normaal gesloten). Alleen het COM en NO contact wordt hiervoor gebruikt!

5 Plaatsing en positioneren vloersensor Zodra u een thermostaat met vloersensor toepast dan dient de vloersensor natuurlijk ergens worden geplaatst. Normaliter is dat in de nabijheid van het verwarmingselement. Bij de verwarmingsfolie wordt de sensor niet direct onder een zwarte laag van de verwarmingsfolie geplaatst maar net er naast. Let wel op dat normaliter de sensor ten alle tijde vervangen moet kunnen worden. Gebruik hiervoor een pvc buis waar de sensor in geplaatst kan worden en controlleer of deze verschoven kan worden in de desbetreffende pvc buis. Een pvc buis met een diamter van 16mm (5/8 ) is voldoende. 7 Introduction De Schloss transformers can be used in combination with the 12 or 24V heatingfoil or other applications. General The Schloss 230 / 12 or 24Vac transformers can be used in combination with 12 or 24V heating film. The transformer enclosure has multiple cable ducts one of which is intended for the power cord and plug. A fuse holder is placed between the glands. This fuse holder is connected to the 230V circuit and a fuse is applied with a value of up to 6A (slow). The transformer itself is provided with a thermal safety. This self-resetting safety turn off power when the transformer is getting a temperature upto 120 C. When the temperature dropped to 100 C, the self-resetting safety switches on again. This is buildin in the transformer. Take care when connecting the load (eg heater) film that you energize, remove the plug from the socket. Application The Schloss transformer can be used in 12 or 24V systems. Place the transformer always in a free space and ventilated area, also a space that is freely accessible without restrictions. Connection Schloss transformer can be easily connected to a 12 or 24V load. Note that when a 300VA transformer is used the connected load does not exceed 300VA. The front side (cover) can be openend with a screwdriver. The 230V circuit is fully connected. The ceramic terminal block (2 pole) is connected to the output load (12 or 24Vac).

8 Connection thermostat 230V input / output A suitable thermostat can be connected in order to regulate the heating based on temperature. Note that this must be a type with a floor sensor (described in the manual of the heating film how the sensor to be mounted). This thermostat is powered by 230 V (L and N). The connecting cable of the transformer is connected to the output of this thermostat (L1 and N1). Check always the connections carefully and verify the manual supplied with the thermostat!

9 Connection thermostat with voltfree output A suitable thermostat, with a voltfree output, can be connected. Please note that this output is suitable for 230V and can switch a maximum load of 1000W. These thermostats are usually battery powered and have a volt-free output and a external sensor connection. The brown wire of the powercable is interrupted and connected to the voltage free contact. Usually this is indicated on the thermostat as: COM, NO, NC. The meaning is as follows: COM (common), NO (normally open) NC (normally closed). Only the COM and NO contact is used for this purpose!

10 Placement and positioning floorsensor Once you have mounted a thermostat with floor sensor, the floor sensor must of course be mounted somewhere. Normally, that is nearby of the heating element. Mount the sensor on the blank area of the heatingfilm. Note that normally the sensor must be mounted at all times. Use a plastic pipe/tube where the sensor can be placed and inspect whether it can be moved in the corresponding plastic pipe/tube. A plastic pipe/tube with a diameter of 16mm (5/8 ") is sufficient.
