1 REF:setgdwsp ELEKTRISCHE UNIVERSELE KABELSET SET-GDW-SP (voor basis 12N 7 BORNES) Enkel beschikbaar voor gebruik met negatieve massa en 12V batterij TOEPASSINGEN Een voorwerp in overeenstemming met Richtlijn 95/54/CE (e ) Bevat alle componenten, zoals de nodige instructies bij het aansluiten van de aanhangwagen aan het voertuig met behulp van het stopcontact type 12N met 7 aansluitklemmen. Deze elektrische kit mag geïnstalleerd worden op de meeste voertuigen ook op voertuigen uitgerust met: - Systeem met digitale controle van de lichten - Detecteersysteem van defecte lampen. (SFL) met verschillende spanningen. - Light Failure Sensor (LFS). - multiplex kabel BSI systeem. - Lichtensysteem dat de lage spanning - CAN BUS Data systeem - Lichtensysteem dat de lage spanning aanduidt. - Check-Control Alleen beschikbaar voor gebruik op wagens met negatieve massa en 12V batterij. Dit voorwerp mag niet gebruikt worden op voertuigen met een inverse polariteit (met positieve aansluitklem op chassis of carrosserie), zoals Jaguar S-Type, ook niet op voertuigen waarvan de spanning van de batterij geen +12V is. Deze kit voorkomt alle mogelijke elektriciteitsstoringen of alle mogelijk bijkomende lasten. De kit is gekend voor zijn mogelijkheid om zijn kracht onmiddellijk uit de batterij of uit de wisselstroomgenerator van het voertuig te putten, zo vermijdt men het mogelijk disfunctioneren van de centrale van het voertuig. Installeer ALTIJD een zekering van 15A zo dicht mogelijk bij de batterij. Op dit product geldt een garantie van 1 jaar tegen eventuele productiefouten. Volgende zaken vallen NIET onder deze garantie: elektriciteitsstoringen door verkeerde montage of verkeerd gebruik, zoals polariteitinversies of de kit onderwerpen aan spanningen verschillend aan de spanningen beschreven in deze handleiding.

Lees eerst aandachtig de instructies en identificeer elk component, voordat u start met de montage van de trekhaak. 2. Wees er zeker van dat de stroom veilig uitgeschakeld en geïsoleerd is, vooraleer u start met de montage, dit is mogelijk door elke richtlijn van de leverancier van het voertuig te volgen. 3. Vóór de montage is het raadzaam om rekening te houden dat het noodzakelijk is stroomtoevoer te voorzien als u beslist een stopcontact los van het voertuig te gebruiken voor de montage. Gebruik hiervoor een stopcontact met doorsneden aangepast aan het maximale gebruik van de aanhangwagen en zorg ervoor dat de zekeringdrager ALTIJD zo dicht mogelijk bij de batterij geplaatst wordt. 4. Gebruik daarvoor de rode kabel met Ø 2.5mm², de zekeringdrager (zonder zekering) en de kabelschoen van 8mm, die de verbinding legt vanaf de aansluitingsklem + van GDW set basis tot aan de batterij van het voertuig. Er wordt een gele aansluitingsfiche bijgeleverd om de verbinding te vergemakkelijken wanneer men zou beschikken over een kabel van 12V komend van de batterij en met doorsnede voldoende voor de nodige stroomvoorziening. 5. Fixeer de 7 dradige-kabel vanaf de stopcontactbasis tot aan de binnenkant van de koffer, dit met behulp van de doorvoerkabel of door een het gat te maken in het voertuig en door de bijgeleverde doorvoerkabel te plaatsen. 6. Neem de 7 kabels komend uit de basis van het stopcontact; verbindt hiervan de dubbele punt van de witte kabel van 1.5mm² met de aansluitingsklem - met stroom GDW set en van daaruit verbinden aan de massa van het voertuig met behulp van de bijgeleverd kabelschoen van 6mm². 7. Verbindt de kabels, komend uit de basis van het stopcontact zoals deze van het voertuig - tot de kabelschoenen met basis GDW set, conform aan wat is aangeduid op het montageschema. 8. Zoek nu alle kabels van het voertuig voordat die moeten worden afgeleid of aangesloten. Normaal gezien aan de lichten. Verbindt de 2 parkeerlichten, de 2 pinkers, de rem en het mistlicht met behulp van de aansluitfiches en de kabels met 2 / 5 draden. Wat men ook doet; is het nu het volgen van het circuit vanaf het licht zelf of is het nu door een testlamp aan te leggen; raadpleeg de bijzondere gevallen. (Opmerking: sluit onmiddellijk de wagenkabels aan na het uitvallen van de lichten, voordat de kabels ergens op eender welke module of elektrisch voorwerp terecht komen). 9. Bevestig met behulp van de bijgeleverde, zelfklevende bevestiging Q de GDW set basis aan het voertuig rekening houdend met het mogelijk uitzetten bij het uitleggen van de lichten. 10. Installeer de zekering op de rode kabel, verbonden met de batterij en controleer de montage. - Opmerking: wanneer u deze controle uitvoert met een caravan, aanhangwagen of tester, ga dan eerst na of deze laatste allen correct werken, voordat u ze aansluit aan het voertuig. Zo kunt u alle schade vermijden aan zekeringen, lampen of de elektrische bekabeling van het voertuig. Enkele testers kunnen een foutmelding geven door het gebruik van de elektrische kit GDW set, dus men moet een goede controle uitvoeren met de aanhangwagen of met het lichtenpaneel.

BIJZONDERDERE GEVALLEN: Het is raadzaam rekening te houden met het feit dat er op hedendaagse voertuigen, de lampen slechts een zwakke hoeveelheid stroom ontvangen en die niet op volle toeren draaien wanneer nodig. In dit geval moet men de verbindingen leggen op volgende manier. Aangezien het mogelijk is dat een stroom van 3V toekomt bij de parkeer-, rem- of de mistlichten, moet men eerst alle kabels van hun functie isoleren. Duw de rempedaal in en ga na welke kabel 100% ontbrandt, daarna deze kabel verbinden met behulp van een aansluitfiche. Doe hetzelfde voor het mistlicht. De overblijvende kabel is deze voor de parkeerlichten. LICHTEN EN REM: er bestaan ook merken waarvan de voedende stroom voor het parkeer- en remlicht of voor het parkeer- en mistlicht via dezelfde kabel gaat. Indien het voertuig per zijde over meerdere lampen voor het positielicht beschikt moet men de draad nemen die enkel voor het positielicht dient, Indien men maar over 1 lamp per zijde beschikt maakt men de aansluiting op de nummerplaat verlichting. MISTLAMP: met de GDW set kit heeft men 2 mogelijkheden om het mistlicht te verbinden: e o 1 optie: Als men wil dat het mistlicht werkt vanaf het moment dat het aanhangwagentje wordt aangesloten, dan volstaat het om de verbinding te maken zoals aangeduid op het schema (uitgang van blauwe kabel naar de basis van de trekhaak vanaf de positie N 3 van de module GDW set). e o 2 optie: wanneer men wil dat het mistlicht van het voertuig word uitgeschakeld wanneer men een aanhangwagen aansluit, volstaat het om te handelen op volgende wijze: maak de blauwe kabel los van uitgang N 3, in richting van de stopcontactbasis van de module GDW set, en verbindt deze met uitgang A. Verbindt de witte kabel van de 5 aderige kabel op de uitgang B van module GDW set (zie figuur n 2). Verbindt eerst de witte kabel vanuit uitgang B van de module - GDW set - met behulp van de aansluitfiches aan de kabel van de mistlamp, dan de blauwe kabel uit uitgang A van de module GDW set - verbinden met diezelfde kabel van de mistlamp. Knip de kabel tussen de 2 aansluitfiches door en beveilig de uiteinden ervan met isolerend plakband (zie figuur 1). LET OP: de kracht van het mistlicht van de aanhangwagen komt voort uit eigen netwerk van het voertuig. Dit systeem geldt voor de aanhangwagens uitgerust met 1 mislicht. Voor een aanhangwagen met 2 mistlichten nemen we het stopcontact in de kabel die 1 van de lichten met stroom voorziet.let OP: wanneer u de kabel van de aanhangwagen aan- of afsluit, moet het mistlicht uitgeschakeld zijn.

APPLICATIONS Dispositif conforme à la Directive 95/54/CE. (e ) Contient tous les composants ainsi que les instructions nécessaires à la connexion de la remorque au véhicule au moyen d une prise de type 12N à 7 bornes. Ce kit peut être installé sur la majorité des véhicules de tourisme ou véhicules commerciaux y compris sur les véhicules équipés de : - Système avec contrôle digital des feux à voltages mixtes. - Système de détection de disfonctionnements des ampoules. (SFL) - Système BSI de câble multiplexé. - Light Failure Sensor (LFS) - Système CAN BUS Data - Système de feux de faible voltage. - Check-Control Disponible uniquement pour une utilisation sur véhicules avec masse négative et batterie de 12V. Ce dispositif ne peut être utilisé sur les véhicules présentant une polarité inversée (avec borne positive sur le châssis ou la carrosserie), tels que la Jaguar S Type par exemple, ni sur les véhicules dont la tension de la batterie est autre que +12V. Ce kit prévient tout type de panne ou charge additionnelle et est conçu de manière à pouvoir connecter directement la puissance à partir de la batterie ou de l alternateur du véhicule, évitant ainsi tout éventuel disfonctionnement au niveau de la centrale du véhicule. Installer un fusible de 15A TOUJOURS le plus près possible de la batterie. Ce produit est garanti 2 ans contre tout éventuel défaut de fabrication. La garantie ne couvre pas les pannes causées par une utilisation ou installation incorrecte, telles que peuvent l être des inversions de polarité ou soumettre ce kit à des tensions d alimentation différentes de celle spécifiée dans ce manuel.

7 REF:setgdwsp KIT ÉLECTRIQUE UNIVERSEL «SET GDW SP» (POUR BASE 12N 7 BORNES) Disponible uniquement pour une utilisation avec masse négative et batterie de 12V. INSTRUCTIONS DE MONTAGE 1. Avant de commencer le montage, lire attentivement ces instructions et bien identifier chaque composant. 2. S assurer que les circuits sont déconnectés, isolés et sûrs avant de commencer le montage, qui sera réalisé de manière à toujours respecter les instructions fournies par le fabricant du véhicule. 3. Pour l installation, il convient de tenir compte du fait qu il est nécessaire d approvisionner le circuit en électricité à partir d une prise de courant indépendante de la voiture en utilisant pour ce faire, des sections adaptées à la consommation maximum de la remorque et en installant le porte-fusible TOUJOURS le plus près possible de la batterie. 4. Pour cela, utiliser le câble de couleur rouge de 2,5 mm² fourni, le porte-fusible (sans y introduire aucun fusible pour le moment) et la cosse de 8 mm, que l on connecte, à partir de la borne «+» de la base GDW set à la batterie du véhicule. Une fiche de raccordement jaune est fournie de manière à faciliter la connexion dans le cas où l on disposerait à proximité, d un câble de 12V provenant de la batterie et disposant d une section suffisante à l approvisionnement en courant nécessaire. 5. Amener le câble à 7 fils depuis la base de la prise jusqu à l intérieur du coffre soit en utilisant un passecâble soit en ouvrant un orifice dans le véhicule et en posant le passe-câble fourni. 6. Des 7 câbles sortant de la base, connecter la pointe double du câble blanc de 1,5 mm² sur la borne «-«du circuit GDW set et de là, à l aide de la cosse de 6 mm² fournie, connecter à la masse du véhicule. 7. Connecter les câbles venant de la base de la prise comme ceux allant du véhicule jusqu aux cosses de la base GDW set, conformément à ce qui est indiqué sur le schéma de montage. 8. Localiser ensuite les câbles du véhicule devant être dérivés ou raccordé. Normalement aux feux. À l aide des fiches de raccordement fournies et des câbles à 2 et 5 fils, connecter les deux feux de positions, les deux feux clignotant, le frein et le feu antibrouillard. Ce que l on fera soit en suivant la piste à partir du feu lui-même soit en branchant une ampoule de test. Consulter les cas particuliers. (Note: Raccorder les câbles du véhicule immédiatement après la sortie des feux, avant que les câbles n arrivent jusqu à n importe quel module ou dispositif électronique). 9. À l aide de la fixation adhésive «Q» fournie, fixer la base GDW au véhicule en prévoyant les possibles étirements pouvant se produire lors de la repose des feux. 10. Installer le fusible sur le câble rouge connecté à la batterie et vérifier l installation. Note: Si la vérification de l installation est réalisée au moyen d une caravane, remorque ou testeur, vérifier d abord que ces derniers fonctionnent correctement avant de les connecter au véhicule, de manière à éviter tout dommage au niveau des fusibles, des ampoules ou de l installation électrique du véhicule. Dû au fonctionnement électronique du KIT GDW set quelques testeur de led peut donner une lecture erronée donc qu il faut faire une vérification réelle avec la remorque ou avec le panneau de feux.

CAS PARTICULIERS: Il convient de tenir compte du fait qu il existe aujourd hui des véhicules sur lesquels les ampoules ne reçoivent qu une faible quantité de courant et n agissent à 100% de leur capacité que lorsque leur utilisation est requise. Dans de tels cas, il faudra réaliser les connexions de la manière suivante. Étant donné qu il est possible qu un courant de 3V arrive au feu de position, au feu de frein et au feu antibrouillard, il faudra d abord isoler chaque câble selon sa fonction. Appuyer sur la pédale de frein et vérifier quel câble s allume à 100%, puis le connecter à l aide de la fiche de raccordement rapide. Procéder de la même manière pour le feu antibrouillard. Le câble du feu de position est le câble restant. FEU ET FREIN: Il existe également des marques pour lesquelles le courant alimentant le feu de position et le feu de frein ou le feu de position et le feu antibrouillard, passe par le même câble. Cela ne représente aucune difficulté, il suffit dans ce cas de connecter les deux fiches au même câble du véhicule et les feux de la remorque fonctionneront tout à fait correctement. Si le véhicule possède de plusieurs lampes pour le feu de position, il faut prendre le fil qui se serve seulement pour le feu de position. Si on ne possède que d une lampe par côté, faire la connexion sur de la plaque numérologique. ANTIBROUILLARD: Le kit GDW set offre deux possibilités de connexions du feu antibrouillard : 1ère OPTION: Si l on souhaite que le feu antibrouillard fonctionne également lorsque la remorque est connectée, il suffit de réaliser la connexion comme indiqué sur le schéma (sortie du câble bleu vers la base de l attelage depuis la position Nº3 du module GDW set circuit). 2ème OPTION: Si l on souhaite que le feu antibrouillard se déconnecte automatiquement lorsque l on accroche la remorque, afin d éviter au conducteur tout effet gênant provoqué par la réflexion, il suffit de procéder de la manière suivante : Dégager le câble bleu de la sortie Nº3 en direction de la base de la prise du module GDW set et le connecter à la sortie «A». Connecter le câble blanc du câble à 5 fils sur la sortie «B» du module GDW set (Voir figure nº2). À l aide des fiches de raccordement rapide, connecter d abord le câble blanc issu de la sortie «B» du module GDW set au câble antibrouillard du véhicule, puis connecter le câble bleu issu» du module GDW set au même câble antibrouillard du véhicule. Couper le câble du véhicule entre les deux fiches de raccordement et protéger les extrémités de ce dernier à l aide de ruban isolant (cfr. figure Nº1). ATTENTION: Sous ce mode de fonctionnement, la puissance alimentant le feu antibrouillard de la remorque est fourni par le propre réseau du véhicule. Ce système est valide pour des remorques équipées par une seule feu

9 antibrouillard. Si la remorque a deux feux antibrouillard nous ferons la prise dans le câble qui porte courant à un seul des feux. NOTE: Lors de la connexion ou déconnexion du câble de la remorque, le feu antibrouillard du véhicule doit être éteint. FIG.2

It contains all components, such as the necessary instructions to connect a trailer to the vehicle by means of a socket type 12N with 7 connection clips. This electric wiring can be installed on most of the vehicles and also on vehicles equipped with: - System with digital control of the lights - Detection system of defective lamps. (SFL) with different voltages. - Light Failure Sensor (LFS). - Multiplex wiring BSI system. - Light system that indicates low voltage. - CAN BUS Data system - Check-Control Only available for use on vehicles with negative mass and 12V battery. This object cannot be used on vehicles with inverse polarity (with positive connection clip on chassis or coach work), such as Jaguar S-Type, neither on vehicles whereof the voltage of the battery is not +12V. This wiring avoids all possible failures in the electric circuit or all possible additional troubles. The wiring is known for its possibility to draw its power directly from the battery or from the alternator of the vehicle, in this way you can avoid the possible troubles with the power station of the vehicle ALWAYS install a fuse of 15A as close as possible to the battery. This product carries a guaranty of 1 year against possible production faults. Following points do NOT carry any guaranty: Failures in the electrical circuit due to bad assemblage or wrong use, such as polarity inversions or when you submit the wiring to voltages different from the voltage described in this manual. Before you start the assemblage of the tow bar, please read the instruction carefully and identify each object. 12. Furthermore, before you start the assemblage, be sure that the voltage is disconnected and isolated safely; this is possible by following up the instructions of the supplier of the vehicle. 13. Before you start the assemblage, it is advisable to take into account that you must provide some voltage when you decide to use a socket apart from the vehicle for the assemblage. In this case use a socket with diameter adapted to the maximal use of the trailer. Also provide a fuse carrier as close as possible to the battery. 14. To realize this use a red cable with diameter 2.5mm², the fuse carrier (without fuse) and the cable socket of 8mm, that makes the connection from the connection clip + of the SETGDWSP s basis to the vehicle s battery. You will find a yellow connection plug to facilitate the connection when you dispose of a cable of 12V coming from the battery and with diameter that is sufficient for the necessary voltage. 15. Fix the 7 thread s cable from the socket basis to the inside of the trunk by means of a connect cable or by making a hole in the vehicle and by installing the connect cable. 16. Take the 7 cables coming from the socket s basis; connect the double point of the white cable (with diameter 1.5mm²) with the connection plug - with voltage SETGDWSP. From this point you can connect the mass of the vehicle by means of the added cable socket of 6 mm². 17. Connect the cables coming from the socket s basis like these of the vehicle with the cable socket s of the SETGDWSP s basis, in conformity with that what is indicated on the assemblage diagram. 18. Now look for the cables of the vehicle before you must be connected or diverted. Normally you must be connected to the lights. Connect the 2 park lights, the 2 indicators, the brake and the fog light by means of the connections plugs and the cable with 2/5 threads. No matter what you do, if you follow the circuit from the lights itself or if you decide to use a test lamp, ALWAYS consult the special cases. (NOTICE: when the lights fall out immediately connect the vehicle s cables, before the cables can reach any other module or electric object.) 19. Fix the SETGDWSP s basis to the vehicle by means of the added adhesive fixation system Q, but take into account that it can expand when you switch off the lights. 20. Install the fuse on the red cable, connected to the battery and check the assemblage. - NOTICE: when you check the assemblage with a caravan, trailer or tester, please check if those function properly, before you connect them to the vehicle. In this way you can avoid all damage to the fuses, lamps or the electrical circuit of the vehicle. Some tester may give an error message due to the use of the SETGDWSP, so you must check carefully the trailer of the light panel.

SPECIAL CASES: It is advisable to take into account that the contemporary vehicles dispose of lamps that only receive low voltage and that do not function on their full capacity when necessary. In this case you must connect the cable in this way: As it is possible that you receive voltage of 3V at the brake-, park- or fog light, you must first isolate the cables from their function. Push the brake pedal and check what cable lights up for the full 100%, afterwards connect this cable by means of a connection plug. Repeat this action for the fog light. The remaining cable is the one for the park lights. LIGHTS AND BRAKE: there still exist some brands whereof the voltage for the park-or brake light or for the park- and fog lights is provided via the same cable. This makes no difference, it is sufficient to connect the 2 plugs of the same cable and the lights of your trailer will function properly. If the vehicle does posses several for the park light, you must use the cable that s specially meant for the park light. If the vehicle does only posses 1 light for the park light, you must connect it on the licence plate. FOG LAMP: with the SETGDWSP you have 2 possibilities to connect the fog light: st o 1 option: if you want the fog light to work as from the moment that you connect the trailer, than it is sufficient to make the connection according to the diagram (exit of blue cable to the basis of the tow bar as from position 3 of the SETGDWSP). nd o 2 option: when you want the fog lights to be disconnected when you connect the trailer, it is sufficient to treat as following: remove the blue cable from exit N 3, in the direction of the socket s basis of SETGDWSP, connect this one with the exit A. Connect the white cable of the 5-partly exit B of SETGWS SP (see fig.2). Firstly connect the white cable from exit B of SETGDWPSP by means of the connect plugs, to the cable of the fog light, than you must connect the bleu cable from exit A of SETGDWSP to the same cable of the fog light. Cut this cable between the 2 connect plugs and protect the ends with isolating tape (see fig.1) WATCH OUT: the power of the fog lights of the trailer comes from the own electric circuit of the vehicle itself. This is valuable for trailer with 1 fog light. For trailers with 2 fog lights you must take the socket in the cable that provides one of both lights with voltage. WATCH OUT: when you (dis)connect the cable of the trailer, the fog lights must be switch off!
