Algemene beschrijving / Technische gegevens 1.1 Leveringsomvang Falcon F-701 In de verpakking treft u de volgende zaken aan: - Manual - Falcon F Beschrijving meegeleverde items Manual Hierin is het aansluiten, de functionaliteit en de bediening van de Falcon F-701 terug te vinden Falcon F-701 Standaard uitgerust voor 99 posten met terugroepmogelijkheid Hoog uitgangsvermogen waardoor goede verstaanbaarheid gegarandeerd is Wordt geleverd als blackbox zonder speaker en microfoon. Een netwerk bestaat uit 1 of meerdere main stations en 1 of meerdere substations. Een gesprek kan plaats vinden tussen een main station en een substations of 2 main stations. 8 2. Installatievoorschrift 2.1. algemeen. Een Falcon intercom installatie bestaat minimaal uit de volgende delen: - Zichtinstrument / bediengedeelte Falcon F Blackbox Falcon F Multihub GEBRUIK GEEN ANDERE DAN DE VOORGESCHREVEN POSTEN. DIT ZOU PROBLEMEN KUNNEN GEVEN Uw intercom is uitgerust met een potentiaalvrij relaiscontact voor het aansluiten van een bel of een toeter. Zie Appendix B voor de aansluitingen. Intern zijn alle kanalen zo uitgerust dat oproepen mogelijk is. Alle kanalen zijn via de set-up in te stellen. Document: Falcon701 Ver02 Page 8 of 33

9 2.2. Plaatsen van de intercom F-701 Installeer de luidspreker, microfoon en de F-701 zo dicht mogelijk bij elkaar. Dit bevorderd de geluidskwaliteit. Maximale kabellengte tussen de F-701 en de luidspreker en tussen de F- 701 en de microfoon bedraagt 5 meter. Gebruik altijd een goed geaarde kabel. Maak de aarde van de kabel vast aan pin 15 van K Aansluiten van de intercom De intercom dient met standaard ethernet kabel te worden aangesloten op een MultiHub. Voor de voeding, luidspreker en microfoon moet men een afgeschermde 2-aderige kabel gebruiken. Zie paragraaf 2.2 voor de maximale kabellengte. Document: Falcon701 Ver02 Page 9 of 33

10 K1 : Voeding aansluitingen Op deze connector moet de voeding incl. afscherming worden aangesloten. De voeding moet liggen tussen de 18 en 36 V DC. De afscherming moet aan de behuizing worden aangesloten K3 : Microfoon Hier moet de microfoon (pin 1 en 2) worden aangesloten. Zie paragraaf 2.2 voor maximale kabellengte. Instellen van de intercom mag alleen gedaan worden door de installateur of service monteur. Bij onjuiste instellingen zal de intercom niet functioneren. De webbrowser van het substation station is standaard ingesteld op IP adres Let op dat er niet meerdere stations worden aangesloten met hetzelfde IP adres. Via een webbrowser kan er verbinding worden gemaakt met de webpagina van de intercom. Het adres is bekent bij de installateur of service monteur. 13 2.4.1 Instellingen webpagina Indien er een nieuw intercomsysteem wordt opgebouwd moet per F-700 of F-701 het IP-adres worden ingesteld. Voorzie slechts 1 apparaat van voeding en een ethernet verbinding naar de PC. Indien de intercom direct aan de PC wordt gekoppeld, dus zonder HUB er tussen, moet gebruik worden gemaakt van een cross-cable. Ga dan via de webbrowser naar de webpagina van het apparaat. Stel hier het gewenste IP-adres in en of het gaat om een Falcon 700 of Falcon 701. Klik dan op OK. Als het apparaat opnieuw wordt opgestart zal deze het nieuwe IP-adres hebben. Let op dat elk apparaat een uniek IP-adres moet hebben! Als alle IP-adressen goed zijn gezet kan men de andere instellingen doen. Dit kan ook weer door steeds slechts een apparaat aan te sluiten, maar men kan ook eerst alle apparaten in het systeem aansluiten. De instellingen die men kan doen via de webbrowser zijn: - Device: Device type Control board connected Private Active When IP-Address : voor een substation moet deze ingesteld staan op Falcon 701 : standaard instellen op NO : indien deze in is gesteld als Contact Closed is de privé functie actief als het contact op de betreffende aansluiting is gesloten. Het geluid vanaf het substation naar het hoofdstation wordt dan dus geblokkeerd als het contact gesloten is. Indien deze instelling staat op Contact Open is de privé functie juist actief indien het privé contact open is. : IP adres van het apparaat. Moet ingesteld zijn in de range x - Appearance Deze instellingen zijn alleen van toepassing op een Falcon700. Colour Background Group Dimvalue Day/night : NVT : NVT : NVT : NVT - Network: Standaard staat Number of channels op 2. Stel eerst het aantal posten in die in het systeem aanwezig zijn en druk op OK. De webpagina zal opnieuw worden geladen en nu zullen er het ingestelde aantal substations zichtbaar zijn. Stel hier alle stations heel nauwkeurig in. Ook het station dat op dit moment ingesteld wordt moet in deze lijst worden vermeld. Indien de stations onjuist zijn ingesteld zal de intercom niet goed functioneren. - Sounds: Alarm sound Key Push Volume Gain setting LineIn Volume : op dit moment is er nog maar 1 sound te kiezen. Laat deze dus op 0 staan. : alleen van toepassing voor een F-700, hoofdstation. : een hogere waarde geeft meer uitgangsvolume. : dit is de versterking van het ingangssignaal van de microfoon, te kiezen tussen 0 en Document: Falcon701 Ver02 Page 13 of 33

14 3. Bedieningsvoorschriften 3.1. Falcon F-700 Front F Aanzetten De intercom dient aangezet te worden door de on/off/dim knop 3 seconden ingedrukt te houden. De achtergrond verlichting en de luister bar van de F-700 lichten op zodra de intercom is opgestart. Als er voor de eerste keer spanning op een F-700 of F-701 wordt gezet zal deze, zodra deze is opgestart, automatisch aangaan. Document: Falcon701 Ver02 Page 14 of 33

15 Kanaalkeuze Met de toetsen < en > kan men het gewenste sub station selecteren. Zolang men een van de twee knoppen indrukt zal er door het aantal aanwezige kanalen worden gescrold. Zodra de knop wordt losgelaten zal het kanaal wat dan geselecteerd is gaan knipperen en word de verbinding opgebouwd. Als de opbouw is gelukt, zal de spreek bar oplichten en wordt het gekozen kanaal weer gegeven. Een gesprek kan worden beëindigd door op de end com knop te drukken. Wanneer men al een post geselecteerd heeft kan men naar een ander kanaal scrollen met de toetsen < en >. Zodra de toets dan los wordt gelaten zal de verbinding die er op dat moment is verbroken worden en zal een nieuwe verbinding worden opgebouwd met het nieuwe station Volume luisteren Door op de linker of rechterkant van de luister bar te drukken kan het volume geregeld worden (dit is het geluid afkomstig van een andere post) Volume spreken Door op de linker of rechterkant van de spreek bar te drukken kan het volume geregeld worden (dit is het geluid naar een andere post toe) Aandachtsignaal De knop voor het aandachtsignaal wordt weergegeven met een bel. Intern is de intercom uitgerust met een potentiaalvrij relaiscontact wat ingeschakeld kan worden met de aandachtknop. Met dit relaiscontact kan een belsignaal of een lichtsignaal geschakeld worden van het substation waarmee op dat moment verbinding is. Het relaiscontact is bekrachtigt zolang de aandachtknop is ingedrukt Beantwoorden Als een oproepknop op een F-701 wordt ingedrukt wordt dit op de F-700 gemeld op het display en met een akoestisch signaal en het knipperen van het nummer van het sub station op het display. Men kan een oproep beantwoorden door op de Accept toets te drukken. Oproepen dienen dan ook zo spoedig mogelijk beantwoord te worden om valse oproepen te voorkomen. Sub stations met een prioriteit onderbreken de huidige communicatie (indien aanwezig) en worden direct met de hoofdpost verbonden Algemene oproep Dit is een optie die in de toekomst zal worden aangeboden PTT / Voetschakelaar Als er een verbinding heeft tussen een hoofdstation en een substation zal er in ruststand geluid te horen zijn vanaf de subpost naar de hoofdpost. Drukt men dan op de PTT-knop of voetschakelaar dan kan men tegen het betreffende substation spreken. Laat men deze toets los dan staat de intercom weer in de stand luisteren en kan het sub station naar de hoofdpost spreken Binnenkomende oproep in de uit stand Er is geen binnenkomende oproep mogelijk als het station uit staat. 16 MOB Door de MOB knop 5 seconden in te drukken zal het alarm op alle posten afgaan. Het volume zal op alle stations naar de maximale stand gaan. Door de knop daarna 1 seconde in te drukken zal het alarm weer uit gaan Alarm Door de alarm knop 5 seconden in te drukken zal het alarm op alle posten afgaan. Het volume zal op alle stations naar de maximale stand gaan. Door de knop daarna weer 5 seconde in te drukken zal het alarm weer uit gaan Half/Full Duplex Dit is een optie die in de toekomst zal worden aangeboden Falcon F-701 De Falcon F-701 is niet uitgerust met een bedieningsunit maar bestaat enkel uit een blackbox. Wel kunnen er externe knoppen en terugmeldingen op worden aangesloten. Zie paragraaf en Appendix B voor deze aansluitingen Externe MOB switch Deze knop heeft dezelfde functionaliteit en bedieningsmogelijkheid als de knop op de F-700 bedieningsunit. Door de MOB knop 5 seconden in te drukken zal het alarm op alle posten afgaan. Het volume zal op alle stations naar de maximale stand gaan. Door de knop daarna 1 seconde in te drukken zal het alarm weer uit gaan Externe CALL switch Door de externe call knop 5 seconden in te drukken zal er een oproep naar het hoofdstation worden verzonden Relais spreken/luisteren Deze relais uitgang geeft weer of het substation op dat moment in luister- of spreekmode staat. Is het relais gesloten wordt het geluid vanaf het substation naar het hoofdstation doorgelaten Extern headset L/R Op deze audio uitgangen kan een headset worden aangesloten Externe speaker uitgang Op deze audio uitgang kan een speaker worden aangesloten. Let op; indien deze speaker ook moet functioneren als microfoon moet jumper J1 worden geplaatst. Standaard wordt de F-701 uitgeleverd met de jumper geplaatst externe microfoon Op deze audio ingang kan een microfoon worden aangesloten. Let ook weer op jumper J Privé switch aansluiting Afhankelijk van de instelling zoals beschreven in paragraaf (Private Active When) kan door middel van een knop die op deze ingang is aangesloten de privé functie in- en uitgeschakeld worden. General description/ Technical data 1.1 Scope of delivery Falcon F-701 The packing of the equipment shall contain the following items: - Manual - Falcon F Description of the items supplied with the equipment Manual Here you will find information concerning the connections, functionality and operation of the F Falcon F-701 Standard setup for 99 channels with call functionality. High output power so a good intelligibility is guaranteed. Delivered as a blackbox without speaker and microphone. A network contains 1 or more main stations and 1 or more substations. A call can be done between a main station and a substation or between 2 main stations. There is no call possible between substations. Power supply VDC Power consumption is less than 1A. 19 2. Installation 2.1. General. A Falcon intercom installation contains at least the following units: - User interface/main station Falcon F Blackbox Falcon F Multihub DO NOT USE OTHER THAN PRESCRIBED STATIONS. THIS CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS! Your intercom has a relay contact for connecting a attention signal. Refer to Appendix B for the connections. Internally all channels are equipped for calling. 20 2.2. Placing the intercom F-701 Place the speaker, microphone and F-701 as close as possible to each other. This will improve the quality of the sound. The maximum length of the cable between F-701 and speaker and between F-701 and microphone is 5 meter. Always use a screened cable. Connect the screening to pin 15 of K Connections The intercom should be connected with standard ethernet cable to a MultiHub. For the power supply, speaker and microphone a screened 2 wire cable should be used. Refer to paragraph 2.2 for maximum length of the cable. Document: Falcon701 Ver02 Page 20 of 33

21 K1 : power supply At this connection the power supply of the F-701 should be connected. The power supply should be between VDC. The screening should be connected to the housing K3 : Microphone The microphone should be connected to pin 1 and 2 of this connector. Refer to paragraph 2.2 for maximum cable length. Setting the intercom should only be done by the installer or service technician. By incorrect settings, the intercom will malfunction. The webpage of the F-701 is standard set to IP-address Each device should have his own unique IP-address. With a webbrowser you can make a connection with the webpage of the F-701. 24 2.4.1 Set-up webpage In a new installation, each device (F-700 and F-701) should get his own, unique IP-address. Just connect one device in time and connect with the webpage of the device. Set the IPaddress of the device en click on OK. After rebooting the device, it will have the new IPaddress. If all devices does have a unique IP-address, the other settings can be done. The following settings can be done: - Device: Device type : for a substation is should be set to Falcon 701. Control board connected : set to NO Private Active When : if setup as Contact Closed, the private function will be active while the contact at the input is closed. If the private function is active, the audio from the substation to the mainstation is blocked. If it is setup as Contact Open, the private function will be active while the contact is open. IP-Address : IP-address of the device (should be in the range x). - Appearance These settings are only for a F-700. Colour : background illumination colour. Background Group : dim group. Dim value : startup dim value (between 0 en 15). Day/night : no function yet. - Network: Factory default the Number of channels is set to 2. Set the number of channels in your installation and click on OK. The webpage will now be refreshed. Now set-up each channel very carefully. Also the channel of the set-up page should be set in the list. If one or more channels are not set correct, the intercom system will malfunction. - Sounds: Alarm sound : set to 0 Key Push Volume : only for F-700. Gain setting : output power speaker. 25 3. Operation 3.1. Falcon F-700 Front F Switch on The intercom F-700 can be switched on by pressing the ON/OFF/Dim button for 3 seconds. The background illumination and listen volume will switch on if the system is started. After a reboot the system will start up automatically. A F-701, substation, cannot be switched off. 26 Channels With the buttons < and > a station can be selected. While pressing one of these buttons the F-700 will scroll through the list of channels. If the button is released, the selected channel number is flashing at the display and the F-700 will connect with the selected channel. If the connection is completed, the speak volume bar will switch on and the display shows the channel number. The connection can be closed by pressing the end com button. When there is a connection with a channel and channel up or channel down is pressed, the F-700 will also scroll through the list of channels. After releasing the button, the current connection will be shut down and a connection with the new selected channel will be build up Listen volume By pressing at the left or right side of the bar, the volume can be adjusted Speak volume By pressing at the left or right side of the bar, the volume can be adjusted Attention This button will close a relay contact at the selected channel while it is pressed Accept If there is a call from a F-701, the channel number will flash on the display and there is a acoustic signal. By pressing the accept button, the acoustic signal will stop and the F-700 will connect with the channel. A F-701 with priority will interrupt a current connection and is connected directly to the F All call No function yet PTT / Footswitch When there is a connection, audio is send from the substation to the mainstation. While the PTT button or footswitch is pressed, audio is send from the mainstation to the substation Incoming call while off No incoming call is possible while the mainstation is switched off. A substation can never be switched off MOB By pressing the MOB button for 5 seconds, a alarm signal will sound at all channels. The volume of each channel is set to maximum. By pressing the button again for 1 second, the alarm will switch off Alarm By pressing the Alarm button for 5 seconds, a alarm signal will sound at all channels. 27 3.2. Falcon F-701 The Falcon F-701 does not have a control unit but is only a blackbox. Externally there can be connected some in- and outputs. Refer to paragraph and Appendix B for these connections External MOB switch This button has the same functionality as the MOB button on the F-700. By pressing the MOB button for 5 seconds, a alarm signal will sound at all channels. The volume of each channel is set to maximum. By pressing the button again for 1 second, the alarm will switch off External CALL switch By pressing the external call switch, a call will send to the main station Relay speak/listen This relay indicates if the substation is in speak- or listen mode. If the relay contact is closed, audio is send from the substation to the mainstation (speak mode) External headset L/R At these audio outputs a headset can be connected External speaker output At this audio output a speaker can be connected. Caution: if this speaker also should function as microphone, jumper J1 should be placed. Factory default this jumper is placed external microphone At this audio input a microphone can be connected Private switch The private function can be switched on and off by this switch.
