1 Tweede aankondiging Nederlands/Belgische Palynologendagen editie 2013 Second circular palynological theme meeting 2013 Nog even en het is zover: de Nederlands/Belgische Palynologendagen editie 2013 op 10 en 11 oktober. We hebben al heel wat aanmeldingen maar er is nog plaats! Dit jaar organiseren we de pollendagen in Limburg in de grensstreek met Duitsland rondom het thema Pliocene en Vroeg Pleistocene ontwikkeling van landschap en klimaat gericht op NW Europa. We worden rondgeleid door Wim Westerhoff (TNO Geological Survey of the Netherlands) door de verschillende groeves en type localiteiten van Plio- en Pleistoceen in de Duits / Nederlandse grensstreek. This year we organize the yearly palynological symposium and excursion in the south east of the Netherlands, focusing on the Late Neogene and Early Pleistocene landscape and climate evolution. Wim Westerhoff (TNO) will guide us through quarries and pits representing important regional key and type localities. This will take place on 10th and 11 th of October. 2 Vrijdag/Friday 11 October: Excursie/excursion to quarries and pits, type localities of late Pliocene and early Pleistocene stages Breakfast ~7:30-8:30 Departure from at ~9:00 by coach from accommodation Excursion stops at: Oebel ( clay pit of Late Pliocene, Reuverian stage with stable and instable mineral zones) Brachter Ton Abbau (classic Reuverian); Lunch at Café de Grens (~13:00 hr) Hoher Stall (Latest Reuverian with various river facies) Return at accommodation at ~16:00, optional stop at Reuver train station Locatie/location De bijeenkomst en overnachting is in groepsaccommodatie Natuurplezier in Reuver op de grens met Duitsland. Dit is een eenvoudige groepsaccommodatie met grote woonkamer in bosrijk gebied net buiten Reuver ( ). Er is een uitgebreide keuken en gratis WiFi. Het diner zal door de organisatie georganiseerd worden op de locatie. Overnachting: er is 1 slaapzaal en er zijn enkele slaapkamers voor 2 personen, deze reserveren we, indien nodig, voor de eventuele oudere deelnemers.!! LET OP: Eigen bedlinnen (Laken/sloop/slaapzak ) meenemen!! Er is ter plekke geen bedlinnen beschikbaar. Er zijn ruime parkeerplaatsen voor auto's. De dichtstbijzijnde Bushalte ligt op 3000 m & het treinstation (Reuver)ligt op 4000 m. Tussen 12:00 en 13:00 kunnen we mensen oppikken van het station voor aanvang van het programma indien nodig. The meeting and overnight stay is in the groupaccommodation Natuurplezier in Reuver on the Dutch/German border. This casual style location has basic facilities (dormitory style) and a large kitchen, and free Wifi.!! NOTE: you need to bring your own bedlinnen/pillow cover and sleeping bag or blanket. Plenty parking space is available, nearest bus stop at 3000 m, train station at 4000 m (Reuver). In case needed we can pick up people between 12:00 and 13:00 from the train station.

4 Deelname/participation Er is nog ruimte voor extra aanmeldingen: stuur een mail met daarin de gewenste deelname (do en of vrijdag) en eventuele bijzonderheden naar: Timme Donders ). Laat ons weten als U onverhoopt verhinderd bent maar eerder had ingeschreven. De voorinschrijving wordt bij geen tegenbericht vanaf nu als definitief beschouwd.
