7 TNO IS ACTIEF IN DE EU ARENA 1/2 Horizon 2020: het grootste EU onderzoeks- en innovatieprogramma ooit met een budget van 80 miljard euro. TNO is actief in de pijlers Maatschappelijke Uitdagingen en Industrieel Leiderschap; Europese tenders: studies ter ondersteuning van Europees beleid vanuit Europese instituten en agentschappen; Knowlegde and Innovation Communities (KIC s): stimuleren en faciliteren de samenwerking tussen universiteiten, onderzoeksinstituten en het bedrijfsleven. TNO neemt deel in: Climate, InnoEnergy, Raw materials, Innovation for healthy living and active ageing. In voorbereiding met TNO deelname zijn Food4Future (2016), Added Value Manufacturing (2016) en Urban Mobility (2018), en Security (?) 7 TNO in de EU

8 TNO IS ACTIEF IN DE EU ARENA 2/2 TNO is betrokken bij toekomstig en uitvoerend Europees R&I beleid: Lid van European Association of Research and Technology Organisations (EARTO) en Neth-ER (Netherlands House of Education and Research): deelname aan verschillende werkgroepen; Deelname aan Horizon 2020 advisory committees; Preparatory Action for Defense-related research.
