1 Nieuwsbrief 10 februari 2017 Beste ouders/ verzorgers, Uitvaart Thérèse, Vorige week donderdag hebben wij met het team, leerlingen van groep 7/8 en ouders de herdenking bijgewoond van Thérèse. Het was een mooie herdenking die indruk gemaakt heeft op alle aanwezigen. Er werd stilgestaan bij het verlies, maar ook om wat Thérèse voor ieder betekend heeft. Hopelijk geeft dat steun. Over een aantal weken zullen wij als IKC nog stilstaan bij het verlies van Thérèse. In de bijlage een brief van Herbert de Bruine over hoe nu verder. Studieweek en rapporten (3 t/m 8) Volgende week zijn de leerlingen vrij en zijn de leerkrachten aan het werk. Alle toets resultaten worden verwerkt, de afgelopen periode wordt geëvalueerd en er wordt hard aan de rapporten gewerkt. Op woensdag zijn de rapporten klaar en worden ze open gesteld( gr 3 en 4) of g d (gr 5 t/m8). Kleuterrapport Dit jaar starten we in de groepen 1/2 met het kleuterrapport in een portfoliomap. In deze map zit een rapport over de ontwikkelingen van uw kind. Naast het rapport zit er ook één 'trots werkje' van uw kind en één 'trots werkje' van de leerkracht in. Dit zijn werkjes van het afgelopen half jaar. Op maandag 27 februari worden de kleuterrapporten uitgedeeld. In de map staat precies beschreven hoe u het rapport kunt lezen. Graag zien wij de kleuterrapporten vóór woensdag 15 maart weer terug op school. namens de onderbouw, Erica & Bas Tien-minutengesprekken Maandag 27 februari starten de 10-minuten gesprekken. Kinderen die mee zijn en niet deelnemen aan het gesprek svp niet bij de BSO plaatsen. We zullen zorgen voor opvang in de hal.

2 Kalenderaanpassing! Sjors heeft het sportveld vast kunnen leggen voor de sportdag. De sportdag zal plaatsvinden op 13 april. Het paasontbijt is op 12 april. Zwemles Groep 4 heeft de zwemlessen afgesloten en met diploma s. We feliciteren: Elise, Zara en Jezzebelle met hun C-diploma. Anjana en Alesija met hun B-diploma en Jackie met haar A-diploma. Goed gedaan! Schaken 27 februari. start de nieuwe cursus schaken, beginners als gevorderden zijn welkom. Deze voorjaarscursus telt weer 13 lessen, die gehouden worden op de maandagmiddag van 14 tot 15 uur. De kosten bedragen 23,-, hetgeen bij de eerste les contant voldaan kan worden. Aanmelden op het volgende adres, onder vermelding van naam, groep en geboortedatum. h.joosten49@upcmail.nl U krijgt dan bericht terug of er nog plek is voor uw kind. Ook kinderen die op les zaten graag opnieuw aanmelden. Themawerk Er wordt druk gewerkt aan het thema Smakelijk eten in de onderbouw. Dat is niet alleen te zien, maar ook te ruiken. Mmmmmmmm pannekoeken.

3 ndoefening Donderdag 9 feb hebben we een brandoefening gedaan op de Kindercampus. Brand in de keuken was het sein. Binnen 5 minuten waren we met alle kinderen op het plein inclusief baby s en peuters. Na 8 minuten gaf Jan (hoofd bhv) het sein Brandmeester en mochten we weer naar binnen. De kinderen hebben het super goed gedaan.

5 Newsletter 10 th of Februari 2017 Dear parents/guardians, Funeral service Thérèse Last Tursday the team, pupils of groups 7/8 and the parents attended the funeral service of Therese. It turned out a beautiful commemoration which impressed all that were present.not only did we express the feeling of loss but there were also words to remember all that Therese had contributed to our school. Hopefully these will serve as comfort in the future. In some weeks time we as IKC will one more time commemorate the loss of Therese. In the annex you will find a letter of Herbert de Bruine about the immediate future. Studyweek and reportcards Next week the children are off and the staff is at school. All test result will be processed, we will evaluate the last term and we ll be working hard to present the report cards. On Wednesday the cards are ready either to be published (groups 3 and 4) or be sent (groups 5 to 8 ) Preschooler s reportcards This year we ll start with the groups 1 and 2 reportcards in the form of a portfolio. In this portfolio you will find a full report on the development of your child. Alo, there is a proud piece of work of the pupil and one that the teacher is particularly proud of. These have been made in the last half year. On Monday 27th the report will be handed out. In the portfolio you will find guidelines how to understand the report. Before Wednesday 15th of March we would like to receive the portfolio s again. On behalf of the lowerschool, Erica and Bas Ten minutes interviews

6 On Monday 27th of February the ten minutes interviews will start. For children who come along but do not take part in the talks, arrangements have been made in the central hall. Please do not take them to the BSO. Adjustments to the calendar! Sjors has been able to book the sportsfield. This means that the sportsday is scheduled for the 13th of April. The annual Easterbreakfast is planned on the 12th of April. Swimming lessons Group 4 has concuded the swimming lessons with a certificate. Congrats Elise, Zara and Jezzebelle with their C-certificate. Anjana en Alesija with their B-certificate and Jackie with her A-certificate. Well done! Chess After Spring Break chess lessons start again. The classes are for all levels, starting from group 3. The chess lessons are on Monday from 14 to 15 hours and are held in the music room on the 1st floor. All children know where to find this class room. The first lesson of the course will be on the 27 th of February. The course concerns 13 classes and the fee is 23 per child. You can register your child by h.joosten49@upcmail.nl Please note the name, group and date of birth of your child. Fees can be paid in cash at the first lesson. Themework Hard work is in progress in the lower school on our current theme Smakelijk eten. This is not only quite easy to spot but also to smell. Yummy.. pancakes!!

7 Fire drill Thursday 8th of Februari we had a fire dirll. The so called cause was fire in de downstairs kitchen. Within 5 minutes all kids were outside, including baby s and toddlers. After 8 minutes Jan told us everything was safe and school was open again. The kids did great.
