2 NL Waarschuwing - Plaats de rookmachine op minimaal 150 cm van brandbaar materiaal zoals gordijnen, boeken enz. Zorg er voor dat het apparaat dusdanig bevestigd wordt dat de behuizing niet per ongeluk aangeraakt kan worden. - Alleen voor gebruik binnenshuis. - Tijdens de montage mag zich niemand onder de montageplaats bevinden. - Voordat het apparaat in werking wordt gesteld altijd eerst een deskundige raadplegen. - In het apparaat bevinden zich onder spanning staande onderdelen; open daarom NOOIT dit toestel. - Voordat het apparaat gerepareerd of onderhouden wordt dient deze eerst losgekoppeld te worden van het net. - Verwijder of plaats een stekker nooit met natte handen uit en in het stopcontact. - Indien zowel stekker en/of netsnoer als snoeringang in het apparaat beschadigd zijn dient dit door een vakman hersteld te worden. - Indien het apparaat dermate beschadigd is dat inwendige (onder)delen zichtbaar zijn mag de stekker NOOIT in het stopcontact worden geplaatst én het apparaat NOOIT worden ingeschakeld. Neem in dit geval contact op met uw leverancier of SkyTronic BV. - Sluit het apparaat alléén aan op een 230Vac/50Hz geaard stopcontact, verbonden met een 10-16A meterkastgroep. - Bij onweer altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact halen, zo ook wanneer het apparaat een poos niet gebruikt wordt. - Bij hergebruik kan condensatiewater gevormd worden; laat het apparaat eerst op kamertemperatuur komen. - Bij het verwijderen van de stekker uit het stopcontact nooit aan het netsnoer trekken. - Om te voorkomen dat het apparaat naar beneden valt (bij ophanging), dient een veiligheidsophanging te worden aangebracht. Te denken valt aan een deugdelijke ketting, staalkabel o.i.d., dat onafhankelijk van de beugel moet worden bevestigd. - De bijgeleverde beugel dient als hoofdophanging en moét worden gebruikt om het apparaat deugdelijk op te hangen. - Om ongevallen in bedrijven te voorkomen moét rekening worden gehouden met de daarvoor geldende richtlijnen en moeten de veiligheidsaanwijzingen /waarschuwingen worden gevolgd. - Het apparaat buiten bereik van kinderen houden Voer zelf geen reparaties uit aan het apparaat; in élk geval vervalt de totale garantie. Ook mag het apparaat niet eigenmachtig worden gemodificeerd, ook in dit geval vervalt de totale garantie. Ook vervalt de garantie bij ongevallen en beschadigingen in élke vorm t.g.v. onoordeelkundig gebruik en het niet inachtnemen van de waarschuwingen in het algemeen en gestelde in deze gebruiksaanwijzing. Tevens aanvaardt SkyTronic B.V. geen enkele aansprakelijkheid in geval van persoonlijke ongelukken als gevolg van het niet naleven van veiligheidsinstructies en waarschuwingen.dit geldt ook voor gevolgschade in wélke vorm dan ook.

3 VEILIGHEID Sluit de rookmachine altijd aan op een wandcontactdoos of verlengkabel voorzien van randaarde! LET OP: het netsnoer mag uitsluitend vervangen worden door een door SkyTronic geleverd type Het bijvullen van het vloeistofreservoir dient voorzichtig te geschieden. Neem eerst de netstekker uit het stopcontact! Draai daarna de dop van het reservoir en vul bij met behulp van een passende trechter. Gebruik uitsluitend de originele SkyTec rookvloeistof. Deze rookvloeistof is milieuvriendelijk, tevens biologisch afbreekbaar en laat, bij juist gebruik, geen residu achter. De openingen aan de bovenzijde van de kast moeten vrij blijven voor een goede ventilatie. Het verwarmingselement van de rookgenerator ontwikkelt warmte welke afgevoerd moet worden. Plaats geen voorwerpen op de rookmachine. INSTALLATIE EN GEBRUIK Haal de rookmachine uit de verpakking. Sluit de netaansluiting van de afstandsbediening nog niet aan, maar verbind de kabel van de handbediening met de 3-polige aansluiting op de achterzijde van de rookmachine. Vul het rookvloeistof reservoir bij met behulp van een trechter. Steek daarna pas de stekker weer in het stopcontact. Het verwarmingselement wordt hierdoor nu automatisch ingeschakeld. Het voorverwarmen duurt ca. 12 minuten, afhankelijk van de omgevingstemperatuur. Is de juiste temperatuur van de rookgenerator bereikt, dan klikt de thermostaat en gaat de rode signaallamp op de handbediening aan. Druk nu kort op de rode schakelknop en de rookmachine produceert een mooie dichte rook. Is de rookgenerator op temperatuur (de rode lamp brandt!) dan kan de rookmachine kan ongeveer 2½ minuut onafgebroken achtereen rook produceren. Na deze periode is de rookgenerator zodanig afgekoeld dat de thermostaat uitschakelt. Het verwarmingselement heeft daarna een paar minuten nodig om de rookgenerator weer op temperatuur te brengen. Laat u de rookmachine met korte tussenpozen rook maken, dan blijft de temperatuur op peil en zal de thermostaat niet uitschakelen. BEDIENING MET DE AFSTANDSBEDIENING De multifunctionele LCD afstandsbediening is voorzien van een 10 meter lang snoer met aan het uiteinde een 5polige XLR connector voor aansluiting op de rookmachines. 1. 4 Zodra de rookmachine ingeschakeld wordt en de afstandbediening is aangesloten op de rookmachine, dan zal in het display (1) de tekst Warming Up verschijnen. Na zo n 15 minuten, nadat het element voldoende is opgewarmd, verschijnt in het display de tekst Ready to Fog. Met de FUNCTION (2) toets kunt u bladeren door de diverse instelmogelijkheden. Deze instellingen zijn: Interval Set Duration Set Timer Out Volume Out en DMX add - Interval Set ; De intervaltijd tussen de rookpulsen tijdens TIMER gebruik. Deze is in te stellen met behulp van de UP/DOWN (3) toetsen tussen 1 en 200 seconden. - Duration Set ; de duur van de rookpuls tijdens TIMER gebruik. In te stellen tussen de 1 en 200 seconden. - Timer Out het volume van de rook in procenten tijdens TIMER gebruik. In te stellen tussen 1 en 100%. - Volume Out het volume van de rook in procenten tijdens VOLUME gebruik. In te stellen tussen 1 en 100%. - DMX Add ; het startadres A voor het besturen via DMX-control. In te stellen tussen 1 en 512. (zie DMX instellingen) Adres B is dus instelling +1. Zodra het toestel Ready to Fog in het display weergeeft kunt u de rookmachine op een van de volgende drie manieren gebruiken. TIMER Door de toets TIMER (4) in te drukken activeert u de timerfunctie en verschijnt de door u ingestelde Interval Settijd in het display, aftellend naar 0. Daarna zal de rookmachine gedurende de Duration tijd het ingestelde volume rook maken. Dan volgt er weer een rustperiode. Deze volgorde loopt automatisch door totdat u deze uitschakelt door op de TIMER (4) toets te drukken. VOLUME Door de toets VOLUME (5) in te drukken krijgt u een rookpuls met het vooraf ingestelde volume (Volume Out) door nogmaals op de toets te drukken schakelt u deze functie weer uit. MANUAL Zodra u de toets MANUAL (6) indrukt krijgt u, zolang de toets ingedrukt blijft, een rookpuls met 100% volume. DMX INSTELLINGEN Deze rookmachine maakt gebruik van twee DMX kanalen om de functies te besturen. Ieder kanaal kan tussen de 0 en 255 (0 en 100%) ingesteld worden. Zo kunt u met behulp van een DMX controller de rookmachine mee laten lopen in een programma en deze op afstand bedienen.

5 Kanaal A: 0-5% = uit 6% - 89% = afhankelijk van kanaal B (volume) % = maximale volume (100%) Kanaal B: 0-100% = instelling van het volume niveau VOORBEELD Stel het startadres in op 16 (zie DMX Add ). Zet met behulp van de DMX controller adres 16 op 0% en adres 17 op 70%. Op dit moment zal er nog niets gebeuren, zet nu adres 16 op 95%, de rookmachine geeft nu een rook stoot van 100%, zet daarna adres 16 op 50%, dan zal het volume van de rook afnemen tot 70%. OPSTELLING Plaats de rookmachine op een gemakkelijk bereikbare plaats in verband met het bijvullen. Het is ook mogelijk de machine op te hangen d.m.v. de meegeleverde beugel met stelschroeven. UITSCHAKELEN Schakel de rookmachine altijd uit door de stekker uit het stopcontact te halen. Het 1500 W verwarmingselement blijft anders onnodig stroom verbruiken. 6 UK WARNING - The smoke machine must be placed at least 100 cm away from inflammable materials such as curtains, books, etc. Make sure that the housing cannot be touched by accident. - For indoor use only. - During installation, nobody should stand beneath the mounting area. - Prior to the first use, have the unit checked by a qualified person. - The unit contains voltage-carrying parts. DO NOT open the smoke machine - Never plug or unplug the unit with wet hands. - If the plug and/or mains lead are damaged, they need to be repaired by a qualified technician. - If the unit is damaged to an extent that you can see internal parts, do not plug the unit into a mains outlet. - Only connect this unit to an earthed mains outlet of 230 VAC / 50 Hz. - Always unplug the unit during a thunderstorm or when it is not in use. - If the unit has not been used for a longer period of time, condensation can occur inside the housing. Please let the unit reach room temperature prior to use. - When you unplug the unit from the mains always pull the plug, never the lead. - In order to prevent dropping of the unit, a safety fastening needs to be installed. This can be a solid chain, a steel cable, etc. which has to be fastened separately from the mounting bracket. - The supplied bracket is the main fixing and must be used to solidly mount the light effect. - In order to avoid accidents in public premises, the local legal requirements and safety regulations/warnings must be fulfilled. - Keep out of the reach of children. Do not attempt to make any repairs yourself. This would invalid your warranty. Do not make any changes to the unit. This would also invalid your warranty. The warranty is not applicable in case of accidents or damages caused by inappropriate use or disrespect of the warnings contained in this manual. SkyTronic UK disclaims a liability in respect of losses stemming from the use of its products thereof. SAFETY Plug the smoke machine only in an earthed mains outlet or extension cord! ATTENTION: the power cord can only be replaced by an original replacement, supplied by SkyTronic. Be careful when filling the fluid tank. First of all, unplug the mains lead! Then unscrew the cap on the tank and fill it by means of a funnel. Only use the original SkyTec smoke fluid, which is environmental friendly and, if used correctly, leaves no residues. Do not obstruct the openings on top of the case to guarantee good ventilation. The heating element of the smoke machine generates heat, which needs to be removed. Don t put any objects on the smoke machine.

7 INSTALLATION AND USE Unpack the fog machine. Do not connect yet the net cable. Connect the lead of the manual control with the 3-pin plug at the rear of the smoke machine. Fill the fluid tank by means of a funnel. Plug the unit into a mains outlet. Thus the heating element is automatically switched on. Depending on the room temperature, it takes approx. 12 minutes until the working temperature is reached. Then the thermostat is clicking and the red LED on the manual control lights up. Push the red switch once and the smoke machine will produce a nice thick fog. Once the smoke machine has reached its working temperature (the red LED is lit) the smoke machine can produce fog continuously during about 2 ½ minutes. After this period of time, the fog generator is cooled so much down that the thermostat switches off. Wait a few minutes until the working temperature is reached again. It is recommended to produce smoke with small pauses in between so that the temperature is maintained and the thermostat doesn t switch off. USE OF THE REMOTE CONTROL The multifunctional LCD remote control features a 10 m long lead fitted on one end with a 5-pin XLR connector for connection to the smoke machine. 1) LCD display 2) FUNCTION button 3) UP/DOWN buttons 4) TIMER button 5) VOLUME button 6) MANUAL button As soon as the smoke machine is switched on and the remote control is connected, the message Warming Up is displayed. After about 15 minutes, once the heating element has reached the right temperature, the message Ready to Fog is displayed. The FUNCTION button (2) lets you browse through the different settings which are as follows: Interval Set Duration Set Timer Out Volume Out and DMX add - Interval Set ; sets the interval period between the smoke emissions in TIMER mode. It is set via the UP/DOWN buttons (3) between 1 and 200 seconds. - Duration Set ; sets the duration of the smoke emission in TIMER mode between 1 and 200 seconds. - Timer Out sets the volume of the smoke in percentage in TIMER mode between 1 and 100%. - Volume Out sets the volume in percentages in VOLUME mode between 1 and 100%. - DMX Add sets the start address A for the DMX control between 1 and 512 (see DMX settings). The B address is the A address +1.

8 As soon as Ready to Fog is displayed, you can use the smoke machine in one of the three ways: TIMER Push the TIMER button (4) to activate the timer function. The set interval time is displayed and counts towards 0. After that the smoke machine will emit the set volume of smoke during the set duration time, followed by a rest period. This sequence is repeated automatically until you push the TIMER button (4) again to switch off timer operation. VOLUME By pushing the VOLUME button (5), the units emits smoke of the previously set volume (VOLUME Out). Push the button again to switch this function off. MANUAL As long as you keep the MANUAL button (6) pressed, the machine will emit smoke of 100% volume. DMX SETTINGS The smoke machines ST1500 and ST3000 both use two DMX channels to control the functions. Every channel can be set between 0 and 255 (0 and 100%). Thus you can run the smoke machine via a DMX control within a program and control it remotely. Channel A: 0-5% = off 6% - 89% = depending on channel B (volume) % = max. volume (100%) Channel B: 0-100% = setting of the volume level EXAMPLE: Set the start address 16 (see DMX Add ) By means of the DMX controller set the address 16 to 0% and address 17 to 70%. Up to now, nothing will happen. Set address 16 to 95%. The smoke machine will now emit a smoke of 100%. Set address 16 to 50% and the volume of the smoke will reduce to 70%.

9 LOCATION Select a location where it is easy to fill the tank. It is also possible to hang the unit by means of the supplied holder and fixing screws. SWITCHING THE UNIT ON OR OFF Switch the unit off by unplugging it from the mains. Otherwise the 1500 W heating element will draw unnecessary current.
