3 FABRICATIE VAN DE TANKS Bij JOSKIN bestaat er niet één winnende formule, maar wel zo veel formules als er verschillende aanvragen zijn; daarom wordt elke tank op basis van gestandaardiseerde componenten individueel vervaardigd. Dankzij de talrijke mogelijkheden die in onze catalogus aangeboden worden, kunt u de gepaste keuze maken. Naargelang de gekozen toebehoren wordt uw tank op een computer geconfigureerd. Hierna zal u de verschillende productiestappen kunnen ontdekken waarbij uw tank met de grootste zorgvuldigheid vervaardigd wordt. Alvorens het eerste prototype vervaardigd wordt, kan het ontwikkelingsteam zijn creatie visualiseren, alle bewegingen simuleren en de eventuele vergissingen corrigeren. Vanaf het begin van het project is het ontwerp met het globale SAP beheerprogramma verbonden: de ontwerpers integreren de nieuwe benamingen rechtstreeks in de centrale configurator. Het nieuwe concept wordt op die manier onmiddellijk opgenomen in het voortdurende ontwikkelingsproces. Deze geïntegreerde architectuur stelt ons in staat de productie zoveel mogelijk te standaardiseren en de componenten te rationaliseren om een hogere precisie bij de vervaardiging en een grotere productieflexibiliteit te garanderen. PERSOONLIJK ONDERDELENBOEK De meest in het oog springende uitdrukking van dit geïntegreerde computerbeheer van de JOSKIN productie is het persoonlijke onderdelenboek dat we bij elk voertuig afleveren. Dit boek bevat de plannen en referenties van de componenten die op uw voertuig gemonteerd zijn, met uitsluiting van ieder ander onderdeel. Hierdoor worden veel vergissingen bij de bestelling van onderdelen vermeden, zelfs jaren later. 3

Het WIN PACK programma, dat voor zowel algemene als specifieke klanten bestemd is, is een doeltreffende en verfijnde combinatie van de verschillende opties die in het gamma van mengmesttanks aangeboden worden. Één van de voordelen van de WIN PACK producten is dat ze meestal snel beschikbaar zijn en dat ze vervaardig en gemonteerd worden door professionelen. Deze machines hebben ook financiële voordelen: meer uitrusting voor een interessante prijs. Kortom: WIN PACK = de winnende formule! À la carte Het JOSKIN gamma van mengmesttanks bevat 13 seriën met in totaal niet minder dan 75 modellen. Meer dan opties zijn beschikbaar voor het opmaken van uw mengmesttank! JOSKIN kan zo uw machine uitrusten naargelang uw wensen. Echter gaat het niet om een prototype maar wel om een assemblage van gestandaardiseerde componenten - d.w.z. die in serie vervaardigd werden, die meerdere malen op voertuigen gemonteerd werden en die in de praktijk getest werden - die gecombineerd worden om een technisch intelligent voertuig te vormen dat aan uw behoeften beantwoordt. De gestandaardiseerde componenten zijn de waarborg van een onberispelijke dienstverstrekking en bevoorrading van wisselstukken. 5 Zijn pomp goed kiezen! 5 types pomp, DÉ OPLOSSING voor u Storm Garda Het gewenste type pomp goed kiezen is de eerste en zeker weten belangrijkste stap bij het configureren van een mengmesttank. Hiertoe biedt JOSKIN vijf categorieën van pompen die ontworpen zijn voor verschillende gebruiken en omstandigheden. De volgende pagina's hebben als doel u te helpen bij het kiezen van het type pomp dat het meest geschikt is om aan uw behoeften te beantwoorden. Vacuüm Lobbenpomp Zodra de pomp gekozen is, zijn de inhoud, het aantal assen en de mogelijkheid om de tank met een verspreidingswerktuig uit te rusten de volgende criteria. Het brede JOSKIN gamma, namelijk 73 basistypen van 13 verschillende modellen, is ontwerpen om aan de aanvragen van ieder type bedrijf te beantwoorden: van het kleinste tot het landbouwbedrijf of de biogasfabrieken. 6 VACUÜMPOMP VACUÜM-POMPSYSTEEM Het vacuümsysteem maakt gebruik van luchtdruk om de tank d.m.v. een drukverschil te vullen. Om de tank te ledigen, wordt de mest naar buiten weggeblazen. Door het vacuüm (onderdruk) in de tank te maken, ontstaat er een drukverschil, wat het mogelijk maakt om mengmest in de tank aan te zuigen. Bij het leegblazen (het verspreiden) werkt het in de omgekeerde wijze. De tank wordt onder druk gezet, wat het mogelijk maakt om mengmest buiten de tank te drijven. 7 CENTRIFUGAALPOMP - WORMPOMP POMPSYSTEEM MET WORMPOMP Het pompsysteem met wormpomp werkt met een rotor, die de vorm van een schroef heeft, om mengmest aan te zuigen en te verspreiden. Door de rotatie van de schroef binnen de stator ontstaan er een reeks hermetische kamers die zich langs de as aanzuigen/leegblazen verplaatsen. Daardoor kan ook het aanzuigen en leegblazen gebeuren. Een snelle start wordt vereist voor dit pompsysteem. 8 AANGEPASTE STRUCTUUR De constructie van de JOSKIN mengmesttanks baseert zich op 3 fundamentele principes 2 STRUCTUREN - 13 MODELLEN JOSKIN TANKS ZELFDRAGENDE TANKS - 6 MODELLEN De zelfdragende tanks hebben een monocoque zelfdragende structuur: de tank is gelast over zijn hele lengte en breedte op een zogenaamde "integrale" wieg. ALPINA2 OMBOUWBARE DRAAGWAGENS - CARGO Het CARGO concept is ontstaan vanuit het principe van ombouwbaarheid: met eenzelfde chassis kunt u zowel over een mengmestverspreider, een silagewagen, een landbouwkipwagen, een polyvalente uitdraaiwagen en een stalmeststrooier beschikken. MODULO2 DELTA2 TETRAX2 VOLUMETRA TETRALINER VACU-CARGO ONAFHANKELIJK CHASSIS - 7 MODELLEN Het JOSKIN onafhankelijke chassis werd speciaal ontworpen om stevigheid en buigzaamheid te verenigen. Dit "universele" chassis is volledig onafhankelijk van de tank en vangt alle spanningen op die op de verspreider uitgeoefend worden. De tank is zo volledig beschermd tegen trillingen. Bovendien is dit universele chassis van een voorafuitrusting voor 4-puntshefinrichting voorzien die het mogelijk maakt om alle types verspreidingswerktuigen er aan te koppelen (injecteurs, bomen). COBRA TREKGEMAK Het design van de JOSKIN machines (niet alleen van de tanken) biedt een omhooggerichte treklijn van het onderstel naar de trekker. Bij het rijden op de weg of het werken in het veld heeft het voertuig sindsdien de neiging om zich licht op te heffen. Daarom mag de trekkracht verlaagd worden. 9 COBRA Smal chassis ontworpen voor reuze lagedrukbanden SCAN OM ER MEER OVER TE WETEN SMAL ONAFHANKELIJK CHASSIS De onafhankelijke draagstructuur bestaat uit een smal universeel chassis dat tegen de tank gebouwd is en dat steviger wordt naarmate er van de steunpunten weggelopen wordt (as en trekoog). De tank wordt over zijn hele lengte door gelaste hoekijzers verstevigd en op het chassis neergelegd: op die manier zijn er veel minder spanningen. ALGEMEEN De JOSKIN COBRA tank is een compacte enkelassige tank met grote inhoud die speciaal ontworpen is voor het werken in het veld. Ook bestemd voor de montage van reuze lagedrukbanden (t/m Ø 1,86m en 1,08m breed) met bandkokers, om zo de 3m niet te overschrijden, kan de COBRA uitgerust worden met een zeer compacte hefinrichting die zich aan het chassis perfect aanpast en zo de overstek vermindert. Deze wordt aan het chassis bevestigd door conische assen die voor een optimale houding zorgen. GROTE WENDBAARHEID Dit voertuig is zeer wendbaar dankzij de korte tank met een grote diameter. 10 JOSKIN proposes currently 4 types of articulated pumping arms (see legend here-above): 1- Straight without turbo-filler 2- Straight with turbo-filler 3- Angled without turbo-filler 4- Angled with turbo-filler This arm is available with a diameter of 200mm (8") or 250mm (10"). The two DA hydraulic hinges make the pumping arm reach most slurry storage tanks. For more reliability, all hydraulic pipes of the arm are rigid and the watertightness between the arm and the tank is guaranteed by a DA industrial valve. The JOSKIN articulated pumping arms are available in self-supporting or built-in version. The built-in one is often chosen according to the tank volume (compulsory on EUROLINER, Q-BIGLINER and CARGO) because it allows to limit the overall dimensions and provides the safety which is needed when driving on roads. JOSKIN proposes two types of articulations: - a knee-joint activated by a cylinder (standard); - a knee-joint driven by a hydraulic motor. The main difference between the two is the opening angle of the arm which is much bigger with the hydraulic knee-joint. The oscillation range is more or less 15 on each side of the front tyre axis. To drive on the road (> 15km/h) or when reversing, it is necessary to lock the axle. For more details, see page 55. Turbo-filler JOSKIN proposes a wide range of flexible pipes and galvanized rigid tubes (straight or cranked) connecting your spreader to your slurry pit. Various models of galvanized and rigid 90 elbows can also be used in order to make the pit easier to reach. We merely recommend you to keep the shortest distance possible between the tank and the pit: the standard 4m flexible pipe offers a good compromise distance, weight and load loss. The pumping ease and speed is influenced by the diameter of the pipes, openings and valves. If, for instance, we consider a load loss of 15mm (matter "stopped" along the pipe walls), the useful way-out of the Ø 8" pipe is twice larger than that of the Ø 6" one; the useful way-out of a Ø 10" pipe is 1,6 times larger than for a Ø 8" one. Sucking "thicker" types of slurry will be much easier with pipes with large diameter. The Ø 6" opening diameter is the most common type, the most easy to handle and the most economical. As for the Ø 8", it makes it possible to increase the flow, even with a lower depression rate. On the other hand, the Ø 10" allows much higher flow rates. It is only available for high-capacity tankers that are fitted with powerful pumps. It is important to note that the only way to work with this diameter is to take the option Ø 250mm pumping arm. arm The max. angle of the second articulation The max. angle of the second articulation (with knee-joint driven by a cylinder) is (with knee-joint driven by a hydraulic motor) is With the free steering axles, the tank has to be connected to a double-acting distributor. Each end of this type of steering axle is articulated and lets the hub pivot in the driving direction. Alignment and locking are carried out by one, or two, cylinder(s), according to the manufacturer's design. One or two shock-absorbers ensure the stability of the free steering axle by preventing too significant vibrations. A very powerful hydraulic locking device perfectly aligns the running gear with the front axle and makes the carriage safe to use. The articulated pumping arms can be fitted with the option telescopic extension (1,80m), which allows to pump easily in very deep pits (+/- 4,5 m). This extension is available with a diameter of 8" or 10". JOSKIN uses four types of manual valve with different diameters (6" or 8"), jaws ("Perrot" or "Italy") and coupling systems ("rocking" or "sliding") for the filling pipe. The sliding jaw is mechanically more resistant and pushes the pipe flat on the neck, which stands for a better alignment of the coupling (only 6" Perrot and 8" Italy). Control lever with plastic handle The askew opening of the End of the pipe rocking jaw makes the pipe easy to fix in the coupling. Jaw Ball-shaped male nozzle Oscillating crown ITALY PERROT JOSKIN uses two types of couplings: "Italy" and "Perrot" (standard). The first one is quite light but its round head can cope with imperfect alignments. The second one is stronger but the two parts must be set in a more or less straight line. Propeller Hydraulic motor Slurry inlet The turbo-filler makes it possible to pump and push a bigger volume faster and without burdening the pump. In combination with a vacuum pump, it allows to better fill the spreaders and to accelerate the filling process. Besides being sucked by the vacuum pump, slurry is also "pushed" into the tank. However, the volume of the sucked up slurry is higher. Indeed, it is possible to pump with a lower vacuum level with the turbine. As a result, the slurry will expand to a lesser extent (natural property of slurry) and create less foam. As a consequence, the sucked volume is very close from the one at rest: better filling level. The Simple-Cut chopper is based on the patented technique of the Scalper macerators. Indeed, any foreign body in the slurry is chopped by three self-sharpening circular blades turning against a contra-rotating blade fitted with conical openings. In this way, slurry is homogeneously distributed in the rear spreading tool while making sure that possible foreign bodies or stones do not prevent the macerator from working properly. These are collected in a trap which is easy to reach and has to be emptied regularly. This operation is made easier by a quick opening system. Combined with volumetric pumps, the Simple-Cut offers an extra protection to the pump against foreign bodies. Turbo on articulated side arm Turbo on JUMBO arm The self-tracking free steering axle proposed by JOSKIN offers the possibility to keep the advantages of the classical free steering axle, both when driving forward and reversing! The automatic self-tracking axle is fitted with two electronically controlled cylinders for its locking and alignment. A sensor on the axle detects the driving direction of the trailer and allows the system to automatically lock one of the two cylinders to make sure the the axle works properly. With this configuration, the user does not have to intervene; the automatic free steering axle works autonomously, both when driving forward and reversing. 11 The constant evolution of the technologies which are needed to make agricultural machinery work properly implies the use of appropriate computerized systems. In order to make these operations the most accessible, reliable and easy possible in everyday life, JOSKIN invested significantly in order to develop, on its whole range, the possibility to use centralized controls to use the machine, thanks to ISOBUS. This tool will make the easiest to most complicated tanker more easy to use. The ISOBUS is a standardized system transmitting data. It creates a kind of common language which is compatible with the technical requirements of all agricultural applications. It allows to connect the machine to any ISOBUS terminal without losing information. To transmit this information, the standardization implies the use of a Bus Can network. The Bus is the physical constituent of the network (standardized electric wires) whereas the Can is the data exchange protocol. Finally, the norm governs the connections to the Bus that allows to link the different elements that have to communicate (tractor, tool, boxes) with the standardized Iso 9-pin plug. The ISOBUS principle is to centralize all the electro-hydraulic functions of the machine, as well as the flow meter functions, in one single control box, called Terminal. This Terminal does not know anything about the machines connected to it. Actually, it is an input and output device with no intelligence and allowing to download the software of the computer situated on the machine via the ISO plug. Once the software is downloaded, the terminal displays all the functions allowing to control the machine. In option, it can be completed with a multi-function joystick allowing to control several functions of the machine such as those controlling the dorsal boom movements. Moreover, the terminal is compatible with a GPS system for a precise guiding while spreading on the different parcels. From an agronomic point of view, the JOSKIN PENDITWIST and PENDISLIDE booms are very interesting as they make it possible to lay slurry at the foot of the plants without slowing down the growth of the vegetables and with no slurry residue in the forage. These two booms are built in a very similar way. The PENDIS- LIDE and PENDITWIST indeed have a triangular structure articulated on a central frame and supporting line spreading hoses that are fixed with a regular space between them (250 or 300mm according to the type of boom). Since the JOSKIN booms are fully galvanized, they are optimally protected and have a longer lifetime. The two boom models are standard fitted with linking cross-pieces allowing their height adjustment. These cross-pieces are then hitched to the JOSKIN 4-point linkage of the tanker. Moreover, all booms are standard fitted with the hydraulic folding system and the PENDITWIST from 15m with the double folding system (see page 100). For a clean transport, without slurry losses, the JOSKIN line spreading booms are standard fitted with the Twist system allowing a 150 rotation of the boom. Besides this anti-drip function, the Twist system has other advantages: it offers a limited overhang; it allows, in option, to spread with an exact scatterer without having to take off the boom. The macerator, as well as two manual or hydraulic valves, have just to be added on the distribution box. Another safety device that can turn out to be very useful in some conditions is the anti-crash safety system. It is standard mounted on all line spreading booms and consists in fitting each boom wing with an articulation and stay springs. In this way, when spreading on a bumpy ground, the ends of the boom will retract (max.55cm) when hitting the ground. Mounting the wings at the end of the oblong holes allows them to pivot and go back to their initial position. Twist system A perfect proportion for a regular precision! The electronic flow meter (Ø 150mm) ensures an accurate flow at any time. Whatever the driving speed, the spreading remains uniform thanks to the device adjusting the flow in proportion to the advancement speed (DPA). The device works as follows: the flow meter constantly measures the slurry injection flow while sensors, located at the wheels, measure the driving speed. By interpreting these data, a computer will automatically regulate the slurry flow according to the driving speed, by way of an electric valve. This type of tines allows: an improved ground loosening thanks to the vibrating effect; a good vegetable residue mixing (in limited quantity); a perfectly torn plough soil and a better prepared seed bed; a working depth ranging from 12 to 15cm. Recently, JOSKIN added to its already very large range of spreading tools a new boom based on the PENDITWIST: the PENDISLIDE. The PENDISLIDE is a line spreading boom whose particularity is to be fitted with ertalon skids allowing the slurry to be applied more precisely on fields of growing plants, without dirtying them. Thanks to this system, the line spreading hoses perfectly follow the ground and ensure a homogeneous slurry distribution on the surface to be spread. The whole PENDISLIDE range is also standard fitted with the patented JOSKIN SCALPER macerator, whose efficiency is due to the system of blades and counterblades in HARDOX steel. Currently, the PENDISLIDE is available with a width of 9, 12 and 15m. The global row spacing of the TERRAFLEX/3 is 30 or 40cm. The tines are distributed on 3 rows instead of 2 on the TERRA- FLEX/2, which leaves a bigger space between them. JOSKIN designed this injector to avoid blockages. It is thus particularly interesting when the vegetation is abundant. The spacing between the 1st and 2nd row is moreover larger than between the 2nd and 3rd row. TERRAFLEX/3 The TERRAFLEX/2 XXL is different from the TERRAFLEX/2 on two points. First of all, the TERRAFLEX XXL range makes it possible to work on larger widths from 6 to 7,60m. Then, the unique space between the tines is 40cm wide, against 30cm on the TERRAFLEX/2. The option exact scatterer on the boom is also available (see page 100). In option, the TERRAFLEX injectors may be fitted with Kongskilde VFM tines and reinforced blue shares. These tines are designed to bury and mix larger quantities of straw and vegetable residues. They indeed have: two folds allowing to make the earth go up and the vegetable matter down; a vertical area (above the share) to mix the plants and the ground in an optimal way. As far as the blue shares are concerned, they offer the following advantages: 11cm wide; further improved robustness; reversibility; designed for mulch seeding; very good mechanical seeding effect (roots and seeds). The TERRADISC arable injector includes a series of discs with a diameter of 510mm which are each directly mounted on a hard element bolted to the chassis. This spreading tool ensures: an efficient incorporation of slurry; a working depth up to 18cm; an outstanding stubble ploughing work. The new TERRADISC arable injector, which was recently developed by JOSKIN, includes two rows of curved toothed discs. According to the width of the tool, there are 32 to 48 discs with a diameter of 510mm spread over two rows which are bolted to the chassis. The first one will open the ground. Then, the injection cones, which are next to the discs of the first row, will allow to inject slurry directly into the groove. The second one, whose discs are positioned in the opposite direction as those of the first one, will cover up and bury the slurry. This type of injector will significantly reduces losses of fertilizing elements and ensure a higher output. The TERRADISC has many advantages: - high-speed work; - a homogeneous mixing of the slurry with the ground; - a quality stubble ploughing; - almost no losses of fertilizing elements. Two powerful DA cylinders allow to fold the two parts of the injector upwards, resulting in a transport width of 2,80m. The machine is in this way compact during transport while keeping a light overhang.
