16 What does it bring us? Approach 1: The Value of 1 Tree Solitairy Trees represent a societal value of 22 million anually. Approach 2: Real Estate Value The green spaces in The Hague add 4% to the cities real estate value, totalling 1,9 billion. Approach 3: Perchasing Value Perchasing and planting all present trees and shrubs anew would cost 277 million.

17 Water Storage Water storage is under control for now, how about the future? Implementing green infrastructure may contribute to reduce future investments. So we should account for the value of green infrastructure when deciding on investments. Water Management If all of the cities greenspaces would be used for real estate development, an investment of 1 billion would be necassary to upgrade te sewege system. If the cities greenspaces would increase by 5%, some 37 ha, this mould represent a value of 7,2 million in terms of water storage.
