DE STAD Utrecht behoort tot de vier grote steden van Nederland. De stad is zeer centraal gelegen, waardoor station Utrecht Centraal het belangrijkste station is van het land. Met snelle verbindingen met niet alleen de andere grote Nederlandse steden, maar ook met buitenlandse metropolen, is Utrecht per trein makkelijk bereikbaar. In Utrecht vinden het hele jaar door vele culturele evenementen plaats. De stad heeft een lange geschiedenis; er zijn voorwerpen uit het Stenen Tijdperk gevonden en de Noordelijke grens van het Romeinse Rijk liep tot Utrecht. In het huidige oude centrum vind je nog vele gebouwen uit de Late Middeleeuwen. Utrecht was de belangrijkste stad van Nederland tot de Gouden Eeuw. It s centrically located in Holland; therefore it s connected to the all big ducth cities and to other main international metropolis aswell. Utrecht has the second highest number of cultural events in the Netherlands. It has a large history. Proof of habitation during the stone age has been found, and Utrecht was also part of the Roman Empire; it was the roman-cristian border. The current ancient city centre features many buildings and structures dating as far back as the High Middle Ages. Utrecht was the most important city in the Netherlands until the Dutch Golden Age.

De essentie van onze keuken komt uit alle 20 regio s van Italië; van de hoge Alpen tot het dorre Sardinië. We bieden je vele seizoensgebonden gerechten en maken daarbij gebruik van speciaal geselecteerde regionale producten om je de smaken van Italië te laten proeven. Wij bevinden ons in het hart van Nederland, vlakbij station Utrecht Centraal. Hierdoor is ons restaurant een perfecte plek voor al je zakelijke ontmoetingen. La Cantina di David is a traditional Italian restaurant since 1997, when we decided to bring authentic Italian food and culture to The Netherlands. The essence of our cuisine emanates from all 20 regions of Italy, from the high Alps to the arid land of Sardinia. We offer you many seasonal dishes, using regional products, carefully selected to bring you the flavours of Italy. We are located in the heart of Holland, nearby Utrecht central station. We are the ideal meeting point for all occasions. Our close interaction with our customers creates a cosy family environment.
EATEN De menukaart vertegenwoordigt de diversiteit van de gerechten en de kooktechnieken van het hele Italiaanse schiereiland. Proef de authentieke recepten bereid met lokale verse ingrediënten in combinatie met de speciaal geselecteerde Italiaanse producten. Wij serveren slow food in plaats van fast food. Wij geloven dat goed eten aandacht en tijd verdient; daarom koken wij al onze gerechten met de grootst mogelijke toewijding. Sommige gerechten hebben uren of zelfs dagen bereidingstijd nodig. The menu card combines a diversity of dishes and techniques from the entire landscape of the peninsula. Taste genuine recipes made with local fresh ingredients in combination with our carefull selection of Italian products. We serve slow food as opposed to fast food. We believe that food deserves attention and time; that s why all dishes are cooked with dedication. Some dishes need hours or even days of preparation before served.
De rijkdom van onze keuken blijkt uit de diversiteit. In het smalle en lange Italië zijn er zo n 20 verschillende regio s met verscheidene culturele invloeden. Vanuit deze mix van culturen zijn typische kaassoorten, ham, pasta s en wijnen ontstaan. Deze producten zijn door de tijd heen en per regio steeds verbeterd. Op geen enkele manier kunnen deze omstandigheden nagebootst worden. Daarom gebruikt La Cantina alleen Italiaanse producten en lokale verse ingrediënten. INGREDIËNTEN The richness of our cuisine lies in its diversity. In such a narrow and long country we are vast with 20 different regions with a lot of cultural influences. As a consequense of this mixture, original cheeses, hams, pastas and wines have been created. Those products have been improved by the time and region. There is no way to replicate those conditions. Therefore Cantina only uses Italian products and local fresh ingridents.

Daarnaast heeft het een (verwarmd) terras met uitzicht over de gracht. La Cantina heeft ruimte voor groepen tot 100 gasten en is geschikt voor business meetings, presentaties en exclusieve diners. U kunt hier ons special packet downloaden. The restaurant is located in a cellar with a vaulted ceiling and has a total of four rooms. It also has a canal view terrace heated on colder days.
