1. General Information 1.1 Information 34 th EPZ Omloop van Borsele For the 34 th time, will be on Saturday 22 nd of April 2017 the EPZ Omloop van Borsele take place. This stage is organized for the Women-Elite UCI 1.1 (international). Start and finish are located in 's-heerenhoek on Kuijpersdijk (municipality Borsele). From an easterly direction follow the A58 and take exit s-heerenhoek N62 then continues until the exit 's-heerenhoek. 1.3 Other information Women-Elite The 34th EPZ Omloop van Borsele will be organized on Saturday April 22 of 2017. The EPZ Omloop van Borsele is part of the Dutch Women KNWU Top Competition 2017 The Women-Elite UCI 1.1 model applies. In addition to these schemes there are per category three honorary awards for the first three upcoming riders available. The competition will be driven with transponders. Type Mylaps. 4. Competition rules Article 1. Organization The EPZ Omloop van Borsele is organized by Stichting Wielercomite s-heerenhoek under the regulations of the International Cycling Union. It is to be held on April 22 nd of 2017. Article 2. Type of event The event is open for athletes of the Women-Elite category. The event is entered on the UCI World Women calendar and is registered as a class 1.1 event. In conformity with the UCI rules, article 2.10.017, points scale Elite-Women: 1 e =80 pnt, 2 e =60 pnt, 3 e = 45 pnt, 4 e = 35 pnt, 5 e = 30 pnt, 6 e = 25 pnt, 7 e = 21 pnt, 8 e = 18 pnt, 9e = 15 pnt, 10 e = 12 pnt, 11 e = 10 pnt, 12 e = 8 pnt, 13 e = 6 pnt, 14 e = 5 pnt, 15 e = 4 pnt, 16 e = 3 pnt, 17 e = 2 pnt, 18 e = 1 pnt Race director: Dhr. Participation As per article 2.1.005 of the UCI regulations, the event is open for the following teams: UCI Women Teams, National Teams*, Regional Teams and Club Teams*. Second years Women-Junior are allowed to participate with this teams under following conditions: They need permission of the National federation where they received their license from. As per article 2.2.003 of the UCI regulations, teams must be formed of minimum 4 and a maximum of 6 riders. Article 4. Race headquarters The race headquarters will be open starting April 22 nd 2017 08:30 AM and is located at the following address: Spek mie Stroop Marktstraat 16 4453 AJ s-heerenhoek Team representatives are requested to confirm their starters and collect their race numbers at the race headquarters from 10:00 to 11:15 on April 23 h. The team managers' meeting, organized in accordance with article 1.2.087 of the UCI regulations, in the presence of the Members of the Commissaires Panel, is scheduled for 11:30 hrs at: Spek mie Stroop Marktstraat 16 4453 AJ s-heerenhoek. Article 5. Race information The race has a total distance of 137 km. Start lists are available around 13.00 hrs in the race headquarters, around 13.30 hrs. at the start location. 5
The start will be directly at 14.30 hrs at the Kuijpersdijk. (There is no neutralized start) Signing the presence list and the team presentation takes place from: 13:15 hrs to 13:45 hrs. nearby tent situated in the Heerenstraat. Line up of the following cars take place at the Kuijpersdijk at 14.00 hrs. Line up of the cars in front of the race, takes place at the finish line at the Kuijpersdijk. The feeding-zone is situated at 73 km. at the s-heerenhoeksedijk. Also is here the dropzone for waste at start and end of feeding-zone. There is also an intermediate sprint which will go over 3 rounds. See prices article 10. Detour of vehicles is at 500 m before the finish at the left side of the road, parking possible on the parking ground of the church. The finish of the race is around 17:00 hrs. Official results are available around 18.00 hrs in the race headquarters. Article 6. Classifications There is a general individual classification on time and a general team classification on time (based on the sum of the three best individual times for each team) The team classification shall be calculated on the basis of the sum of the three best individual times for each team. In the event of a tie, the teams shall be separated by the sum of the places acquired by their three best placed riders on the stage. If the teams are still tied, they shall be separated by the placing of their best rider on the stage classification. Article 7. Radio-tour Race information will be broadcast on the following frequency: 155.9375 MHz. Article 8. Neutral technical support The neutral support is taken care by the use of 3 neutral cars. Article 9. Finishing time limits 2.3.039 Any rider finishing in a time exceeding that of the winner by more than 8% shall not be placed. The time limit may in exceptional circumstances be increased by the commissaires panel in consultation with the organiser.. Article 10. Prize Money according UCI. There will be 3 intermediate sprints: The Zeeland challenges you Sprint 1st sprint: 14.5 KM 14.51 hours driving into town Nisse. 2nd sprint: 38.8 KM 16.45 hours driving into town Nisse. 3rd sprint: 63 KM 16.04 hours driving into town Nisse. Each sprint with 5-3-1 points per sprint for the numbers 1 2 3 in sprint. Prize schedule for the 1st 100. 150.for the 2nd-and 3rd 75. Rider has to finish the Road Race complete if not regulatory price comes to ther next rider. Equal number of points is the official rule: who is at the last intermediate sprint finish the highest ranking will be higher than cyclist whose points number is equal. Article 11. Anti-doping The UCI anti-doping regulations are entirely applicable to the event. Where applicable, that local anti-doping legislation would be implemented in addition to the UCI s anti-doping rules. The Anti-doping tests will take place at health center, Laustraat 1 s-heerenhoek. Near by the finish (see page 13). Article 12. KNWU Top competition This event is part of the KNWU Top competition Series. The KNWU Top competition Series consist of 8 individual events, and in an overall classification for individual riders, under 23 riders and teams ordered by the national federation and gives riders also qualifying possibilities for the national road championships. The regulations and the awarding points for these classifications are available in the KNWU federal regulations. Article 13. Awards ceremony The following riders must attend the official awards ceremony: - The first 3 riders of the general individual classification of the event - The leader in the KNWU TOPCOMPETITIE 2017 - The leader in the under 23 KNWU TOPCOMPETITIE 2017 Article 14.
