The Beginning 1869: Jacob Beringer, een Duitse wijnmaker, komt aan in Napa Valley en wordt keldermeester voor Charles Krug, de eerste commerciële wijnbouwer in Napa Valley.

Stone Cellar completed 1877: de originele kelder Stone Cellar wordt afgewerkt (nu nog steeds in gebruik!) De rijpingskelders zijn een zeldzaamheid voor Californië. Ze werden met de hand uitgegraven in de flanken van de Spring Mountain tussen 1870 en 1880 door Chinese arbeiders. THE EARLY YEARS 1934: Beringer becomes the first winery to offer public tours, and to celebrate the end of Prohibition in 1934, Beringer organizes a big festival. 1920-1933: The winery operated through Prohibition by selling sacramental wines under a federal license allowing wine to be made for religious purposes.
