Reeds 13 jaar na elkaar bieden wij ons Gents internationaal badmintontoernooi aan en dat het nog steeds een succes is, blijkt uit de vele inschrijvingen. En daar zijn wij natuurlijk heel blij om. Jammer voor diegenen die te lang gewacht hebben om zich te registreren en dus niet meer kunnen deelnemen. Blijkt nogmaals dat vroeg inschrijven zekerheid biedt. Zoals elk jaar trachten wij alles zo vlot mogelijk te laten verlopen, en hopen dat we er ook dit jaar opnieuw in slagen en dit dankzij de inspanningen van het bestuur en alle medewerkers, waarvoor hier dan ook m'n dank. Omdat voor velen het getal 13 ongeluk betekent, bieden wij u een geluksbrenger aan. En of het werkt of niet, ga voor die gegeerde medaille, geniet van het diner en leef je uit op onze fuif! Zondag sluiten we dan ook opnieuw af met onze brunch, waarna we iedereen een goede thuiskomst wensen. En daarna, daarna starten wij opnieuw voor Auricula Open14. The inscriptions are proving that it s still a success and this makes us very happy. It s a pity for all those who were waiting too long to register and can t participate this year. Once more is proven that an early inscription offers security, As usual we try to have a fluent tournament and we hope we ll succeed again this year, and this thanks to the efforts of the committee and all the team members who offered support. So thanks to them all! As the number 13 means bad luck to a lot of people, we d like to offer you a good luck charm. And whether it helps or not, go for the medal, enjoy the diner and have a good party! Sunday we finish the tournament with our brunch and wish you all a safe trip home. De ontvangst vindt plaats in het salon van Casa Rosa, Kammerstraat 22 te 9000 Gent (*) (tel ) Zaterdag 2 december uur uur Ontvangst en registratie deelne(e)m(st)ers in de sporthal Neptunus, Botestraat te Gent-Wondelgem (*) (tel ) Cafetaria is geopend vanaf 9.00 uur Er is een algemeen rokverbod In de sporthal uur uur Wedstrijden en huldiging van de winnaars Het toernooi start stipt om 9 uur, zorg dat je op tijd komt! Er is geen middagpauze voorzien, lunchen kan tussen de wedstrijden uur uur Diner en fuif in de feestzaal van het ABVV, Meerseniersstraat 8 te Gent (*) Er is een algemeen rookverbod in het gebouw van de feestzaal Zondag 3 december uur uur Brunch in de feestzaal van het ABVV, Meerseniersstraat 8 te Gent (*) Er is een algemeen rookverbod in het gebouw van de feestzaal Spelregels toernooi Alle deelnemers worden ingedeeld in poules van ongeveer gelijke grootte. Elke deelnemer speelt tegen zijn poule-genoten om één game tot 21 punten (nieuw systeem*), zonder verlengingen. Na afloop van de poule-wedstrijden wordt voor iedere poule een eindrangschikking opgemaakt. Minimaal de twee hoogst geëindigden uit de poule gaan verder. We spelen de finale naar 2 winnende sets tot 21 punten zonder verlengingen (3de en 4de plaats naar 2 winnende sets tot 21 punten). Alle wedstrijden worden gespeeld met gele Yonex Mavis 300 shuttles. Place : Casa Rosa s salon, Kammerstraat 22, 9000 Ghent.(*) (tel ) Saturday 2 December 8.30 a.m. 9 a.m. Reception and registration of the participants in sportscenter Neptunus, Botestraat in Ghent-Wondelgem (*) (tel ) Cafetaria opens at 9 a.m. You are not allowed to smoke in the sportscenter 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Tournament and prize giving ceremony The tournament will start at 9 a.m. precise, be on time! There will be no lunchbreak, you can eat between the games 7 p.m. - 3 a.m. Dinner and party at ABVV, Meerseniersstraat 8 in Ghent (*) You are not allowed to smoke in the ABVV-building Sunday 3 December 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Brunch at ABVV, Meerseniersstraat 8 in Ghent (*) You are not allowed to smoke in the ABVV-building (*) See map further in this booklet All participants play against their groups partners to win one game of 21 points (new system*), this without prolongation. After the pool matches we will make the final placings. At least the two highest classified teams of each groups will continue playing. For the first and second places, matches of two winning sets to 21 points are played (for the third and fourth places, matches of two winning sets to 21 points are played). All games will be played with yellow Yonex Mavis 300 shuttles. (*see enclosure)

5 Hoe bereik je De Foyer Casa Rosa Kammerstraat 22 te Gent? Hoe bereik je sporthal Neptunus Botestraat te 9032 Gent-Wondelgem Met de auto: Vanop de autosnelweg (E17 of E40) neem je de afrit Gent Centrum. Aan het einde van de afrit kom je aan lichten waar je rechtdoor rijdt. Na zo n 200m kom je aan een T-kruispunt waar je rechts afslaat (Zuidstationstraat) en je komt uit op het Sint-Annaplein waar je bijna volledig rondrijdt en de vierde straat rechts inrijdt (Keizer Karelstraat). Nu rijd je steeds rechtdoor.na de Keizer Karelstraat kom je automatisch in de Sint-Jacobsnieuwstraat. Op het einde van de Sint-Jacobsnieuwstraat (een rond punt) kijk je al uit naar een parkeerplaats, want je bent vlakbij. Op de Vrijdagmarkt is er een ondergrondse parking. Met het openbaar vervoer: Vanaf het treinstation Gent-St-Pieters neem je de tram (lijn 1,10,11,12 of 13). De rit naar het centrum duurt ongeveer 10 minuten: afstappen op de Korenmarkt (vragen aan de tramchauffeur). Vanaf de tramhalte stap je de kant van het Belfort op (toren met de draak op de spits).hier naar links afslaan de Belfortstraat in. De Casa Rosa is aan de linkerkant ongeveer 500 meter de Belfortstraat in. Met de auto: Komende van de E17 Antwerpen neem je aan de verkeerswisselaar te Gent-Zwijnaarde de E40 richting Oostende (of vanaf E40 Brussel - Oostende) en neem je de afrit 13 (Drongen, Gent-West). Aan het einde van de afrit ga je rechts richting Gent en rijd je steeds rechtdoor tot je na ongeveer 5 km op de stadsring van Gent komt. Deze stadsring rijd je links op en aan de tweede lichten ga je opnieuw linksaf (goed te herkennen aan boekhandel De Brug op de hoek). Nu ben je in de Brugsesteenweg. Rijdt rechtdoor tot in de Botestraat. De sporthal ligt aan de linkerkant van de weg. Er staat daar trouwens een wegwijzer sporthal Neptunus. Met het openbaar vervoer: Vanaf het station Gent-St-Pieters neem je tram nr. 1 richting Evergem. Uitstappen aan de halte Botestraat (vragen aan de chauffeur). De sporthal ligt aan de linkerkant. How to get to Sportshall Neptunus Botestraat in 9032 Ghent-Wondelgem By car: On the motorway (E17 or E40) follow the signs for and take the exit Gent Centrum. At the end of this exit, there are traffic lights where you continue going straight (a hard one this). At the T-junction 200 metres further you go right (Zuidstationstraat). On the roundabout (Sint-Annaplein) you almost go round completely and take the fourth street on your right (Keizer Karelstraat). You continue straight even when the streetname changes into Sint-Jacobsnieuwstraat.At the end of this street there is a small roundabout and it s time to start looking for a parking spot. Alternatively parking facilities are available under the Vrijdagmarkt. By public transport: At the train station Gent-Sint-Pieters take trams 1,10,11,12 or 13. It takes about 10 minutes to the city centre. Get off the tram on the Korenmarkt (ask the driver). From there you walk to the Belfry (the tower with the golden drake on). Turn left into the Belfortstraat and you ll find Casa Rosa s De Foyer on your left 500 metres further down. By car: Coming from the E17 (Antwerp), you take the E40 direction Ostend at the traffic junction in Gent- Zwijnaarde. Quite a bit further on the E40 take exit 13 (Drongen, Gent-West). If you were already on the E40 coming from Brussels take exit 13 and at the end of the exit go right, direction Ghent. Continue straight until after about 5 kilometres you arrive at the Ghent city ring. Turn left onto the city ring and go left at the second traffic lights (this junction is easy to recognise with a flashy bookshop De Brug on the left corner). You are on the Brugsesteenweg. Drive straight ahead into the Botestraat. The sportscenter is on the left side of the road. At that point Sportscenter Neptunus is signposted. By public transport: From Gent-Sint-Pieters you take tram number 1 to Evergem. Get off the tram at Botestraat (ask the driver). The sportscenter is on your left.
