Curriculum vitae Henrica Rosalien Schiphorst Preuper was born on June 9 th, 1957 in Ruinerwold, the Netherlands. She completed High School in Meppel. She graduated from Physical Therapy in Groningen in 1979. In the same year she entered the University of Groningen to study Medicine. She graduated in 1986. In the two years after she worked as residential in training at the departments Intensive Care, and Cardiology of the University Hospital Groningen, and Rehabilitation Medicine of Rehabilitation Center Friesland. From 1988 she specialised in Rehabilitation Medicine in University Hospital in Groningen (Prof. W.H. Eisma). In 1992 she was registered as specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine. From 1992 to 1998 she worked as Physiatrist at Rehabilitation Friesland. Special interest went out to Pain Rehabilitation. She was, beyond others, involved in design and development of in- and outpatient Pain Rehabilitation treatment programs and a multi-disciplinary spine team in the Hospital Nij Smellinghe in Drachten. Since 1998 she participates in the Medical Staff of the Department Rehabilitation Medicine of the Center for Rehabilitation, University Medical Center, Groningen (UMCG). Main patient-care and research areas concern Pain Rehabilitation. She was intensively involved in the request for the appointment for Innovative Center Pain Rehabilitation of the UMCG in the Netherlands which was honoured by Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport in 2008. She also was closely involved in design and development of, and she participates in the Groningen Spine Center of the UMCG. In 2011 she became member of the board of the Chamber of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Dutch Pain Society (Dutch Chapter of the International Association for the Study of Pain [IASP]). Henrica Rosalien Schiphorst Preuper werd op 9 juni, 1957 geboren te Ruinerwold. Na de middelbare school te Meppel volgde zij de opleiding Fysiotherapie te Groningen. In 1979 voltooide zij deze opleiding. In hetzelfde jaar begon ze met de studie Geneeskunde aan de Rijksuniversiteit te Groningen. In 1986 behaalde zij haar artsexamen. In de twee jaren daarna werkte zij als AGNIO (Assistent Geneeskundige Niet in Opleiding) op de Intensive Care en de afdeling Cardiologie van het Academisch Ziekenhuis te Groningen en als AGNIO bij Revalidatie Friesland. Van 1988 tot 1992 was zij in opleiding tot revalidatiearts in het AZG. Haar opleider was Professor W.H. Eisma. Van 1992 tot 1998 was zij als revalidatiearts werkzaam bij Revalidatie Friesland. Haar belangstelling ging uit naar de revalidatie van de patiënt met chronische pijnklachten van het bewegingsapparaat. Ze was onder meer nauw betrokken bij de opzet en ontwikkeling van (poli) klinische pijnrevalidatieprogramma s van Revalidatie Friesland en een multispecialistisch rugpijnteam in het Ziekenhuis Nij Smellinghe te Drachten. Sedert 1998 is zij werkzaam bij de afdeling Revalidatiegeneeskunde van het Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen (UMCG) met als aandachtsgebied Pijnrevalidatie. Ze was nauw betrokken bij de aanvraag voor de benoeming tot Ontwikkelcentrum Pijn Revalidatie van het UMCG, die in 2008 werd gehonoreerd door VWS. Ook was ze actief betrokken bij de ontwikkeling van en participeert 132
Curriculum vitae ze in het Wervelkolom Centrum van het UMCG. In 2011 werd ze lid van het bestuur van de Nederlandse Kamer van Revalidatie Geneeskunde van de Dutch Pain Society (Nederlandse sectie van de IASP). 133
