A/S Scheepshuid vanaf de waterlijn tot aan de deklijn en dekwerktuigen Surface preparation: Het te behandelen oppervlak eerst goed ontvetten en naspoelen met voldoende zoet water. Nadat het oppervlak droog is, dienen de beschadegingen en eventueel gecorrodeerde locaties, (indien staal) ontroest te worden, waarbij de aangrenzende randen van het intacte verfsysteem gladgeschuurd dienen te worden zodat een gelijkmatige overgang ontstaat. Wanneer de bestaande lak overschilderd wordt met een nieuwe laag lak, is het adviseerbaar om de oude lak licht op te ruwen dmv schuren om de hechting te optimaliseren. Zorg er voor dat voor het aanbrengen van de verf, de ondergrond droog is en dat er geen stofresten zijn achtergebleven.
