Welke factoren bepalen ons fysieke, psychische en sociale welbevinden? Over deze vragen gaat het multidisciplinaire onderzoeksprogramma Healthy ageing. Mensen centraal RUG en UMCG doen onderzoek dat tastbare resultaten moet opleveren voor burgers en samenleving. Ons onderzoek wordt vaak uitgevoerd in samenspraak met betrokkenen. Het gaat over medische vragen, over het voorkómen en behandelen van ziektes. Het gaat ook over hoe mensen hun leven vormgeven en hoe ze bij afnemende gezondheid zelf regie over hun leven kunnen houden.
