Foto: Paul Baelmans 13 Pinhole fotografen Pinhole fotografie kan worden gezien als een van de eerste vormen van fotografie, het zogenaamde "camera obscura" effect. Een minuscuul klein gaatje (de lens) projecteert een omgekeerd beeld op lichtgevoelig materiaal. Pinhole foto's kenmerken zich onder andere door de oneindige scherptediepte, alles is van voor tot achter scherp, en het beeld kent geen vertekening zoals je dat kunt zien bij bijvoorbeeld groothoekobjeceeven. Een complicerende factor bij pinhole fotografie is de sluiter@jd. Over het algemeen is deze bijzonder lang waardoor de fotograaf óf een heel vaste hand moet hebben óf een sta@ef moet gebruiken. Op de grond zehen kan natuurlijk ook. De hier tentoongestelde pinhole foto's komen uit verschillende soorten van pinhole camera's. Zo heel fotograaf Nico Vromans zelf een pinhole gemaakt door een minuscuul klein gaatje in een kapje te prikken en dat te monteren voor de lens van zijn digitale camera. Paul Baelemans daarentegen heel het radicaler aangepakt en zelf een complete pinhole camera gebouwd. De fotografen van The Dutch Pinholers Group hebben een oude analoge camera omgebouwd of gebruiken verschillende pinholecamera s waarbij het filmformaat oploopt tot 8x10 inch. 13 Pinhole photographers Pinhole can be considered one of the first forms of photography, employing the so called "camera obscura" effects. A miniscule hole (the lens) allows light to project an inverted image onto light-sensifve material. Pinhole photos are characterised by the infinite depth-of-field, objects from close to distant remaining in focus, and without distorfon seen in for example wide-angle objecfves. ShuEer speed is a complicahng factor in pinhole photography. Because it is generally very long, the photographer needs either an extremely steady hand or a tripod. AlternaHvely, one can place the camera on the ground. The pinhole photos exhibited were taken using various types of pinhole camera. Photographer Nico Vromans created a pinhole by placing a dust cap with a Hny perforahon on the lens of his digital camera. Paul Baelemans took a more radical approach, building a complete pinhole camera from scratch. The Dutch Pinholers Group photographers used a variety of pinhole cameras or repurposed analogue bodies, with film sizes of up to 8x10 inches.
