24 Bicycle policy Plenty of attention for cyclists throughout the Netherlands Gemeente Den Haag Cooperation between regional and local governments The Hague wants to stimulate bicycle usage Goal: An increase of bicycle usage of 30% by 2020 and 50% by 2050 Around 60 staff members of the municipality of the Hague are concerned with bicycle projects. From 2006 to 2007 the Hague invested C$ 4 million, in 2008 C$ 6.4 million and in 2009 around C$ 16 million in bicycle projects.
