1 Eeltink Veertechniek BV In deze nieuwsbrief vindt u nieuws over de producten die Eeltink voert, maar ook nieuws over ons bedrijf. Maar wist u ook dat Eeltink timmert aan het spoor! Eeltink heeft voor de Benelux een alleenverkooprecht voor de exclusieve producten van ContiTech Railway Engineering Hannover. De door Conti geproduceerde rubbermetaaldelen (primaire vering) en luchtveerbalgen (secundaire vering) worden gebruikt voor trein- metro- en tramstellen. Eeltink Industrial Medio 2012 is ook het importeur schap van Continental Industie en Machinebouw ons ten deel gevallen. Het assortiment van Eeltink wordt hiermee uitgebreid met vele soorten technische luchtveerbalgen voor de meest uiteenlopende toepassingen, zoals in de voedings- (inox series) en papier verwerkende industrie. De industrie en machinebouw biedt luchtvering een zeer doelmatige oplossing voor vele technische vraagstukken (trilzeven, schutmachines, generatoren, etc.).

We zijn druk bezig met de nodige voorbereidingen om deze proef zo foutloos mogelijk te laten verlopen. Ondanks een goede voorbereiding is het mogelijk dat zich kleine opstartproblemen voordoen, wij vragen hiervoor uw begrip. Uw mening als klant is voor ons erg belangrijk, laat ons weten wat u van het transport vind, bij voorkeur via info@eeltink.nl maar bellen kan natuurlijk ook Prijsaanpasssing GoodYear producten GoodYear heeft per 1 juli jl. haar prijzen van Air Spring producten met 4% verhoogd. Eeltink zal deze prijsverhoging per 1 augustus op al haar GoodYear producten doorvoeren. Prime-Ride Graag brengen we u de vernieuwde website van Prime-Ride onder de aandacht. 6 KONI FSD technology: Frequency Selective Damping Bus and coach passengers expect a maximum level of comfort. Together with this high comfort level, ultimate road holding is the driver s most important wish due his or her responsibility to passengers safety. Herewith the battle of forces and vehicle dynamics is started. With conventional shock absorbers, the dynamics of a coach are a compromise between road-holding (handling) and the level of comfort. To achieve an optimum in road holding, high forces are needed to control the body dynamics. An optimal comfort level is achieved by low forces which are mostly about 80% less. With a conventional damper, damping forces are only determined by the piston speed of the damper. With KONI s new and patented development Frequency Selective Damping (FSD), the ride is no longer a compromise but an optimum between the highest level of comfort and body control. How does it work? In standard shock absorbers the main damping characteristic is defined by the oil flow going through the piston assembly (1) Combining it with the FSD feature, KONI added a special valve, which controls an oil flow (2) parallel to the one going through the piston (1). This parallel oil flow is closed by the FSD valve, giving an increase in damping force almost linear to the time that the piston is moving in one direction. Put simply: the FSD feature is a hydraulic amplifier that delays the build up of pressure. One could say that an extra tuning option has been created in order to get the best possible combination of road holding and comfort. Since it is an integrated part of the hydraulic valve system inside the damper, no additional cables, sensors or any other electronic devices are needed to operate an FSD damper. 2 1 FSD is the simplest and most economic way to significantly improve both the ride and comfort level of every bus. Certainly in comparison with costly systems which work on the basis of computer technology, complex electronics and sensors. 7 damping force [N] Nieuwsbrief 02/ 2012 FSD for Scania Irizar Coach KONI equipped a Scania Irizar coach (K340EB4x2NI ) with FSD dampers and performed multiple drive tests here are our findings: The Irizar bus had an independent front suspension with OE position dependent dampers. This resulted in a relative high roll velocity with undamped axle movements. The FSD shocks absorbers give a damping force at low frequency (roll) which is approximately 100% higher compared to the forces of the OE shocks absorber in mid position. With an increasing frequency, the difference between the OE shock absorbers and the KONI FSD shock absorbers gets even bigger. In the diagram below the characteristic is shown at 1 Hz (low frequency) and 7 Hz (high frequency). Each frequency has its own specific characteristic. 8 damping force [N] Nieuwsbrief 02/ 2012 On the rear (drive) axle the difference between the OE characteristic and the FSD characteristic is even bigger. At lower frequencies and speeds the forces in rebound are similar to the original shock absorber. As the frequency increases the difference between the original shock and the KONI shock is approximately 50%. Consequently, the high frequency force transmission to the body significantly less Scania rear axle Hz Hz Scania ,00 0,05 0,10 0,15 0,20 0,25 0, piston velocity [m/s] Equipping a Scania Irizar (or any other Bus or Coach) with KONI shock absorbers containing the KONI FSD Technology will instantaneously result in better stability and an increased safety level. For example direction changes due to strong side winds are much less and in the meantime the comfort level increases as well. We also achieved a significant noise reduction, adding to the comfort level of both driver (less fatigue) and passengers. In addition; the dynamics of the AMI 700 front axle equipped with KONI FSD are controlled and damped too, without loss of comfort.
