Regrets that the training offer related to geriatric, social and health care for dependents would lead to women being directed to work in the field of care, which is a highly precarious labour sector; regrets that training people for employment in the services/consumption sector - "warehousing, leisure and recreation" - would mean that women are targeted towards another precarious sector in which long working days and low wages predominate; ALDE proposed new paragraph 3b 3b. Requests that if a consultation has not already taken place prior to the design of the training offer, that a one-to-one consultation should be held among the woman and men targeted by the actions financed by the EGF; notes the importance of guaranteeing that the aforementioned training is adjusted to the interests of the affected workers; GUE/NGL proposed new paragraph 3c 3c. Recognises that 83.5% of the persons targeted by this measure are women; requests that the training provided be oriented towards quality employment and overcoming gender stereotypes; highlights the need to guarantee that at least part of the training is aimed at increasing access to jobs in the public administration in the line with the experience of other Member States so as to reduce gender labour gaps PE v /26 PV\ docx

Interpretation [LE/JK] Interpretation was available in the following languages: FR, IT, EN + DA passive Update on Brexit [EC] Coordinators took note of the latest developments including that a comprehensive EP resolution on the future EU/UK relationship was expected to be adopted in the first quarter of For the the joint LIBE/EMPL/PETI hearing see point 2.3 of the agenda European Parliamentary days - 19 and 20 February 2018 [EC/CF] The 2018 European Semester Conference (Article 13) will take place on February 2018 in Brussels. It will include three plenary sessions as well as an interparliamentary committee meeting organised by EMPL on the afternoon of 19 February. An updated draft of the structure, prepared at a technical level, and a questionnaire for each topic to be discussed at the EMPL meeting were among the meeting documents. 2. Points for information/follow-up of previous decisions 2.1. EMPL delegation to Canada in week 14 [RS/LS] On 8 November 2017, the CoP authorized the EMPL Committee delegation of 7 Members including the Chair to Ottawa and Toronto, in the week of 3 to 7 April 2018 (5 days including travel time). On 7 December, Coordinators confirmed these dates. 22 Use of EMPL annual translation reserve On , the EMPL Committee had 100% of its annual translation reserve (45 pages) available. 10. Any Other Business Coordinators agreed to convene the CULT and EMPL committees (under Rule 55) on 23 January at 9.00 to vote on the agreement on the proposal for a decision of the European Parliament and of the Council on a common framework for the provision of better services for skills and qualifications (Europass) and repealing Decision No 2241/2004/EC (first reading agreement). This would be followed by the EMPL Committee votes. 11.
