2 Aplis Circular integration. When Le Corbusier published ΔVers une ArchitectureΔ, a new approach to architecture was developed. It was a period of ΔpurificationΔ of forms and celebration of plane surfaces and orthogonal angles. Kreon has always pledged the values of Corbusier s postulate looking for sober, efficient and geometrical purity throughout its right-angled collection. In an attempt to better dialogue with the increasing demands for organic forms within contemporary architecture, Kreon sets a milestone in its long time orthogonal philosophy: Aplis. A round recessed spotlight system, able to respond to the highest qualitative and functional requirements of architectural lighting design. Design by Kristof Pycke Ronde integratie. Bij de publicatie van Le Corbusiers Vers une Architecture ontstond een nieuwe fase in de architectuur. Het was een waardevolle periode van schoonmaak en opheldering waarbij de esthetiek van deze nieuwe gebouwen werd bepaald door het vlak en de rechte hoek. Kreon heeft steeds de waarden van Le Corbusiers werk gewaardeerd en gezocht naar sobere, geometrische puurheid binnen haar rechthoekige collectie. In een poging om beter te communiceren met de hedendaagse, organische architectuur zet Kreon met Aplis een nieuwe mijlpaal. 6 Aplis Designers strive to create space. Space is brought to life by light. Space that can be controlled in every detail is made possible by Aplis. Its construction, comprising of plasterkit, housing, reflectors and skirts can be adapted to suit spacial requirements. A choice of plasterkits give the option to choose a seamless finish or discreet shadowgap. It is possible to change reflectors to control light or skirts that define colour and depth of ceilings after installation without the use of tools. Architecten zijn gepassioneerd door het creëren van ruimten. Ruimten die hij door licht tot leven roept en waarbij hij alle details wil afstemmen op elkaar. Aplis biedt de architect deze creatieve mogelijkheden; met een constructie van plasterkit, behuizing, reflectoren en louvers welke aangepast kan worden aan elke ruimte. Twee plasterkits bieden de optie tussen naadloze afwerking tussen louver en plafond of een afwerking met discrete schaduwvoeg. 8 Aplis Recessed spotlights are largely used by specifiers due to their flexibility and overall discreet appearance. It s the tilt and the rotation system that define the strength of a product. Aplis mechanism widely fulfils these expectations since a combined movement of rotation and translation coexist in highly recessed optics with maximal light output. With a vertical drop of 50mm and an inclination of 30, the luminaire can aim at both vertical and horizontal surfaces. Aplis can be manually rotated up to 360 and tilted by 30 without compromising the recessed position of the lamp and the glare control. Het is het directionele systeem dat hierbij de kracht van het product bepaald. Aplis voldoet aan alle gestelde eisen met een complexe beweging van rotatie en translatie welke het mogelijk maakt om de terugliggende optiek manueel te orienteren met een maximale lichtopbrengst. De orientatie van 30 in combinatie met het doorzakken van de optiek met 50mm maakt het mogelijk om Aplis te gebruiken voor het uitlichten van zowel objecten als verticale wanden. Kreon 8

10 Aplis Aplis reflectors were developed in partnership with Bartenbach Lichtlabor. They are highly efficient with optimised glare control and balanced beam angles. A choice of spot, flood and wallwasher reflectors is available to suit a great variety of applications. Aplis can be fitted with a range of lenses including soft edge outline, and spread lens. De nieuwe reflectoren met hoge optische controle zijn ontwikkeld in samenwerking met Bartenbach Lichtlabor en kennen een hoge efficientie, optimale afscherming en gebalanceerde lichtbundel. Met een keuze tussen wallwasher, smal en breedstralende reflectoren geeft Aplis u de mogelijkheid verschillende lichteffecten te bekomen. Aplis' optische oplossing is standaard voorzien van een softening lens welke een zacht uitdeinende lichtbundel genereerd zodat een hoog visueel confort wordt bekomen. Kreon 10

13 Aplis Aplis is designed for use with tungsten halogen and metal halide light sources with high efficiency reflectors. The standard range is equipped with a softening lens within an anti-glare ring which also allows for the insertion of additional filters. Aplis is ontwikkeld voor lichtbronnen met een vermogen variërend van 20W tot 100W. Aluminium hoog rendementsreflectoren voor QT12-ax en HIT-TC zijn zeer eenvoudig te installeren wat het mogelijk maakt om de lichteffecten snel te wijzigen naar de eisen van het project. Aplis is standaard voorzien van een softening lens en filtermagazijn dat ook voorziet in een ondiepe maar efficiënte verblindingsring. 18 Erubo Erubo, a vision of simplicity and clarity in form and function. Its design is driven by the radical reduction of adjectives. Not only in form, but far most in function. By omitting all additional components to true essentials light source and optics the usual embodiment of an architectural projector gives way to a pure asymmetrical object, bearing qualities of visual silence and clarity. The essential geometry, the absolute unity in material and colour and the mindful interface among weight of volumes all contribute to define an easy to unveil luminaire. Design by Kristof Pycke Erubo, een visie van eenvoud in vorm en functie. De vormgeving van Erubo is gedreven door de radicale reductie van overtollige elementen. Niet enkel in vorm, maar vooral in functie. Het verwijderen van al deze elementen staat garant voor een vormgeving die gekenmerkt wordt door visuele rust en duidelijkheid. Het samenbrengen van de essentiële onderdelen voor het creëren van lichteffecten, namelijk een lichtbron en een optiek in een strak, zwart volume maakt van Erubo een duidelijk leesbare architecturale projector. 30 Rokko Cubist accent. Rokko is a semi-recessed luminaire that requires minimal installation depth. Rokko produces a soft luminance gradient and is ideal for pathway and orientation lighting. Whether used indoors or outdoors Rokko can create a formal continuity in architecture from the interior to the exterior. Design by Kristof Pycke Kubistisch accent. Rokko is een waterresistent, gedeeltelijk ingebouwd toestel dat slechts een minimale inbouwdiepte nodig heeft. Met een zachte lichtwerking is Rokko een geschikt toestel voor het uitlichten van wandelpaden. Ongeacht of Rokko binnen, onder afdaken of tegen tuinmuren wordt gebruikt, Rokko laat u toe om een vormelijke continuiteit te creëren tussen interieur en exterieur van uw architectuur. 33 Mini Rokko With its cubistic and sober form, Mini Rokko adds a pleasant touch to architecture and creates a poetic nocturnal accent. Mini Rokko can be installed in brickwork or cavity walls and requires a depth of only 80mm. The choice of light source offers a low voltage tungsten halogen or high power LED solution. Components are die-cast and painted to an external grade high quality finish in matt black or white to the visible fascia. Tijdens de dag vormt de verfijnde vormgeving van Mini Rokko een aangenaam beeld in uw architectuur. Mini Rokko kan geïnstalleerd worden in metselwerk of holle wanden en vraagt slechts 80mm inbouwdiepte. Ontwikkeld voor laagvolt halogeen lampen of hoog performante LED geeft Mini Rokko u oplossingen met poëtische lichtaccenten. 36 Prologe Ligna Graphic Luminance. Lighting is used by designers to enhance architecture. Not by the lighting alone, but also by its visual impact. The challenge to designers is to assemble all functions (lighting being one) that are given to ceilings, walls and floors. The radical simplicity of the geometric forms that characterise Kreon products allow them to express these functions in a graphical form using dot and line. Grafisch licht. Licht wordt vaak door lichtplanners gebruikt om architectuur te versterken. Niet alleen door het licht zelf maar ook door de visuele impact. De uitdaging voor lichtplanners bestaat erin om alle functies welke aan plafond, muur of vloer toe geschreven worden te integreren tot één harmonieus beeld. De radicale eenvoud van Kreon verlichtingstoestellen laat hen toe de verlichtingsfunctie in een grafische manier uit te drukken. Kreon 36

39 Ligna Developed in partnership with Bartenbach Lichtlabor, Ligna is a continuously luminated line developed for Prologe extruded profiles with light outputs in excess of 50%. Crucial for architectural lighting, the flow of the luminance is barely interrupted due to an innovative OLDP (opalised linear deglaring prism) optic. This optic is set back above the ceiling line to provide an unsurpassed lit effect. Intelligent construction and modulation make tool less assembly and installation into the Prologe profiles possible. Ligna is een continue lichtlijn voor gebruik in Prologe profielen met een lichtrendement van meer dan 50% en ontwikkeld in samenwerking met Bartenbach Lichtlabor.
