6 Curriculum Vitae Curriculum Vitae Peter de Jager werd geboren op 7 januari 1967 in Leiden. Na het behalen van het VWO diploma aan het Stedelijk Lyceum te Zutphen startte hij in 1986 aan de Universiteit van Groningen met de studie farmacie. In 1987 begon hij met de studie geneeskunde. Na het artsexamen (cum laude) werkte hij vanaf 1995 als ANIOS Interne Geneeskunde in het Gelre Ziekenhuis te Apeldoorn en later in het Deventer Ziekenhuis, waar hij in 1997 met de opleiding tot internist begon (opleider Dr. Henk Sluiter). Deze opleiding werd voortgezet in het Medisch Spectrum Twente te Enschede (opleider Dr. Bonno Hylkema) en de Isala Klinieken te Zwolle (opleider Dr. Maarten Alleman). Op 1 maart 2003 vond de registratie als internist plaats. Het laatste jaar op de Intensive Care afdeling in Zwolle (Prof. dr. Jan Bakker) betekende tevens het begin van zijn verdere specialisatie in de intensive care geneeskunde aan de Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam (opleider Prof. dr. Armand Girbes). Na de registratie als internist-intensivist in 2004 begon hij met zijn werkzaamheden als staflid op de Intensive Care afdeling van het Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis. Sedert september 2007 is hij tevens opleider Spoedeisende Geneeskunde en sinds 2010 geregistreerd in de Acute Interne Geneeskunde. In 2007 begon hij aan zijn promotieonderzoek hierbij begeleid door Dr. Peter Wever en Prof. dr. Tom van der Poll. Hij is gehuwd met Monique Leclercq. Zij hebben 3 prachtige dochters: Isabel (1999), Lotte (2002) en Cécile ( 2004). 203
