Vroeger stond de auto symbool voor het vrijheidsideaal. Als je nu nog auto rijdt vinden veel mensen je een verspillende klootzak. Door Lonneke Kok Zijn opa was Opel-dealer, dus Walter Bart (1978) leeft al zijn hele leven met de auto. Tijdens een zakentrip naar het moederbedrijf General Motors in Detroit, Motor City, ontmoette zijn opa een zwarte soulzangeres met wie hij intiem werd. Dat gegeven greep Bart aan voor zijn voorstelling Detroit Dealers, gemaakt onder de vlag van acteursgroep Wunderbaum. Daarin verbindt Bart zijn opmerkelijke familiegeschiedenis met de romantiek van de Amerikaanse droom en de vergankelijkheid van de auto als sekssymbool. Voor mijn voorstelling, die een spel met de waarheid is, heb ik via Facebook contact gelegd met Rosemarie Wilson, de kleindochter van mijn opa s vroegere minnares, vertelt Bart. Wat mij fascineerde was vooral dat Rosemarie is opgegroeid in Detroit, bijgenaamd Motor City; die hele stad is opgebouwd rond de auto-industrie. General Motors zit er nog altijd, Ford, Chrysler. In de eerste helft van de vorige eeuw zaten er wel honderden autofabrikanten. Bart besloot zijn vreemde achternicht op te zoeken en hun ontmoeting als uitgangspunt 2 3

3 te nemen voor een voorstelling rond de auto-industrie. De auto speelt een prominente plek in ons leven, verklaart Walter Bart zijn fascinatie. Iedereen wil mobiel zijn. De auto is de uitvinding die ons leven misschien wel het meest heeft bepaald. Veel mensen kunnen absoluut niet zonder. Tegelijkertijd is het imago van de auto enorm veranderd door het inzicht dat we wat bewuster met onze grondstoffen moeten omgaan. Vroeger was het alleen maar cool om een auto te hebben. De auto stond symbool voor het vrijheidsideaal. De rock- n-roll van de jaren zestig en de seksuele revolutie zijn letterlijk gekoppeld aan de auto-industrie. De verkoop van Cadillacs ging enorm omhoog toen Elvis Presley er een ging rijden. Daar is een hele industrie omheen ontstaan van motels, drive-in-bioscopen, drive-through stores. Maar in slechts vijftig jaar is dat imago helemaal omgeslagen. We moeten ons nu bekommeren om de CO2-uitstoot, daar horen geen funritjes op de snelweg meer bij. Als je nu auto rijdt vinden veel mensen je eigenlijk een verspillende klootzak. Daarbij sta je om de haverklap in de file. Het idee van vrijheid is er daardoor wel af, en sexy is het ook niet meer. De auto is ten onder gegaan aan zijn eigen populariteit. De plek die de auto inneemt in ons leven staat symbool, volgens Bart, voor de hele manier waarop wij naar de wereld kijken. De wereldwijde autoproductie en de industrialisatie in de twintigste eeuw geven blijk van het Grote Optimisme dat in die tijd zegevierde. In de muziek was dat optimisme voelbaar. Intussen staken vrolijke rokers de ene sigaret met de andere aan. De voorstelling had aanvankelijk als ondertitel: De eeuw van de rook, vertelt Bart. In de twintigste eeuw kwam overal rook uit, uit mensen, auto s, fabrieken. Een serie als Happy Days, over de jaren vijftig, is helemaal gebaseerd op ronkende motoren. Op veel foto s rookt mijn opa een sigaar. Zelfs in het vliegtuig staken ze rustig een sigaretje op. Het past niet meer in een tijd die wordt gekenschetst door duurzamer bewegingen, voor een bewuster leven, met oog voor milieu, portemonnee, en lichamelijk en geestelijk welzijn. Roken, fabrieken bouwen, autorijden zijn niet cool meer. De vette jaren van de auto-industrie lijken daarmee voorbij. In Detroit werd General Motors in 2008 voor een faillissement behoed door de regering-obama, maar de sporen van de crisis zijn nog goed zichtbaar. Vandaag de dag zijn grote delen van Detroit in diepe armoede. Toen ik voor het eerst in Detroit kwam was ik in shock, vertelt Bart. Die stad is ontzettend geraakt door de crisis, overal staan afgebrande huizen. Er zijn zelfs wijken waaruit de politie de mensen het liefst ziet wegtrekken; als daar je huis in brand staat komt de brandweer niet eens meer om te blussen. Het lijkt wel een oorlogsgebied. Geweld is daar zo ingekapseld in de samenleving dat het onmogelijk is je daar níet toe te verhouden. Ik ben afgelopen zomer in Kosovo geweest maar dat land is er veel beter aan toe dan Detroit. Detroit is totaal naar de klote. Dat eerste bezoek aan Detroit legde Bart vast in een Spoorloos-achtige documentaire, waarin te zien is hoe hij en zijn Wunderbaum-collega Maartje Remmers voor het eerst kennismaken met Barts achternicht Rosemarie. Die film, gemaakt door beeldend kunstenaar Gerbrand Burger, vormt het eerste gedeelte van Detroit Dealers. Ik laat Rosemarie vertellen wat de auto in haar leven betekent en ze maakt duidelijk hoe het is op dit moment in Detroit te leven. Dan blijkt ook haar leven getekend door de auto, maar vanuit een heel ander perspectief dan het mijne. In Detroit wonen veel Afro-Amerikanen. Die hebben weer een heel andere geschiedenis met de auto; velen van hen werkten als arbeiders in de autofabrieken en hadden die auto nodig om brood op de plank te krijgen. Rosemarie doet in Detroit alles met de auto, dat wij op de fiets boodschappen gaan doen in de regen vindt ze bizar. Ze heeft zelfs een Hummer gehad, in Nederland kun je je niet vertonen met zo n brandstof verslindend gevaarte. Maar zij noemde de hare een cute lady s model, omdat hij oranje was met twee lampen op het dak. Detroit, Motor City, stad van de auto-industrie, stad vol geweld, stad in verval. Maar vooral, benadrukt Bart: nog altijd stad van de muziek. In de jaren zestig had je er de beroemde Motown-sounds, daarna kwam in de jaren tachtig de techno, met artiesten als Juan Atkins en Derrick May. Nu is Detroit de bakermat van de hiphop, met Eminem en Phat Kat als belangrijke vertegenwoordigers. Die muzikale ontwikkelingen lopen eigenlijk gelijk op met de teloorgang van de auto-industrie, duidt Bart, van de hoopvolle Motown-sounds die jubelden van een geweldige wereld tot de rauwe techno en hiphop, die veel agressiever en zwartgalliger zijn. Daarnaast floreert in Detroitse cafés en clubs de open-mike-cultuur, waarbij iedereen in het publiek vrij is de microfoon te grijpen en zijn ding te doen. Daar trof Bart dan weer een opmerkelijk optimisme. Er bleek enorm veel talent rond te lopen in die stad en wat zo mooi was: in Amerika is men bij zoiets heel genereus naar elkaar. In Nederland zouden we veel cynischer zijn: Joh, ga even oefenen en kom dan eens terug. Maar daar zeggen ze al snel: Thank you for sharing. In die crisis vond ik ze verbijsterend positief, ik zag veel goodwill en optimisme. Wat dat betreft is Detroit een fantastische, veerkrachtige, energieke stad, met heel veel energie. De voorstelling Detroit Dealers bestaat voor tachtig procent uit muziek. De Belgische musici Jens Bouttery en Andrew Claes spelen speciaal door Bo Koek gecomponeerde sounds die de sfeer van de voorstelling bepalen. Maar ook waagt Bart zich, geïnspireerd door de open mikes, zelf voor het eerst aan een rap, vertelt hij lachend. Daarin dagen Wilson en hij elkaar prikkelend uit voor de microfoon. Amsterdam tegen Detroit, Bicycle Capital versus Motor City. Op het Distinctively Dutch Festival in Pittsburgh, waar de voorstelling eerder dit jaar haar première beleefde, kon de voorstelling op een groot applaus rekenen. Bart relativeert het snel: Je weet nooit of ze dat ook menen, Amerikanen reageren sowieso enthousiast. Thank you for sharing. 4 5

4 From Sex Symbol to Gas Guzzler In his dramatized documentary music performance Detroit Dealers, theatre maker Walter Bart sets the story of his grandfather, a car dealer, against the background of the rise and decline of the American automobile industry. A car used to symbolize the ideal of freedom. If you drive a car now, a great many people think you re a wasteful idiot. by Lonneke Kok His grandfather was an Opel dealer, so Walter Bart (b. 1978) has lived with cars all his life. While on a business trip to the parent company of General Motors in Detroit, Motor City, his grandfather met a black soul singer, with whom he became intimate. Bart used that situation for his production Detroit Dealers, made under the flag of the actors company Wunderbaum. In it, Bart links his remarkable family history with the romance of the American dream and the transience of the automobile as a sex symbol. For my production, which mixes fact and fiction, I went on Facebook and got in contact with Rosemarie Wilson, the granddaughter of my grandfather s former mistress, says Bart. What especially fascinated me was that Rosemarie grew up in Detroit, nicknamed Motor City; the whole city is built around the automobile industry. General Motors is still there, and Ford, Chrysler. But in the first half of the 20th century there were hundreds of automobile manufacturers there. Bart decided to look up his extramarital second cousin and take their meeting as the departure point for a production based on the automobile industry. Cars play a prominent role in our lives, says Walter Bart by way of explaining his fascination. Everyone wants to be mobile. The automobile is the invention that perhaps has determined our lives most of all. Lots of people simply can t do without it. At the same time, the image of the automobile has changed tremendously through the realization that we have to use our natural resources more wisely. It used to be totally cool to have a car. A car used to symbolize the ideal of freedom. The rock n roll of the 1960s and the sexual revolution were literally linked with the automobile industry. The sales of Cadillacs skyrocketed when Elvis Presley started driving one of them. A whole industry rose up around the car: motels, drive-in movies, drive-through stores. But in only 50 years, that image has been completely reversed. Now we have to worry about carbon dioxide emissions, and that doesn t go with riding around on the highway just for fun. If you drive a car now, a great many people think you re actually a wasteful idiot. What s more, every other minute you re in a traffic jam. The idea of freedom has evaporated because of that, and it s not sexy anymore either. The car is a casualty of its own popularity. The place that cars have in our lives symbolizes our whole way of looking at the world, says Bart. The production of automobiles throughout the world and the industrialization in the 20th century are evidence of the great optimism that prevailed in those days. That optimism was evident in the music of that time. Meanwhile, happy chain smokers lit their next cigarette with the first. The show originally was subtitled the century of smoke, says Bart. In the 20th century, smoke came out of everything people, cars, factories. A series like Happy Days, Rosemarie Wilson, Walter Bart Gerbrand Burger about the 1950s, is completely based on throbbing engines. In many photographs, my grandfather is smoking a cigar. They even calmly lit up a cigarette in airplanes. None of this is appropriate anymore in an age characterized by more sustainable movements for living with greater awareness of the environment, one s wallet and one s physical and mental well-being. Smoking, building factories and driving cars aren t cool anymore. The fat years of the car industry are apparently a thing of the past. In Detroit in 2008, General Motors was saved from bankruptcy by the Obama administration, but the traces of the crisis are still very visible. Nowadays, great parts of Detroit are in deep poverty. When I first arrived in Detroit I was in shock, says Bart. The city has been terribly affected by the crisis, you see burned-out shells of houses everywhere. There are neighbourhoods where the police would rather see people moving out; if your house sets on fire there, the fire department won t even come to put it out. It looks like a war zone. Violence is so much a part of society that it s impossible not to take it into account. Last summer I was in Kosovo, but that country is much better off than Detroit. Detroit is totally fucked. Bart recorded that first visit to Detroit in a documentary, styled after The Vanishing, which shows how he and his Wunderbaum colleague Maartje Remmers meet Bart s second cousin Rosemarie for the first time. 6 7

5 This film, made by artist Gerbrand Burger, is the first part of Detroit Dealers. I asked Rosemarie to talk about what cars mean to her, and she makes it clear what living in Detroit is like right now. Her life also turns out to have been shaped by cars, but from a totally different perspective than mine. In Detroit there are a lot of Afro-Americans. They have a completely different history with cars; many of them worked as labourers in the automobile factories and needed those cars to make a living. Rosemarie does everything by car in Detroit; she thinks it s weird that we go shopping for groceries on our bicycles in the rain. She even had a Hummer one time. In the Netherlands you couldn t show your face in such a gasguzzling monster. But she calls hers a cute lady s model because it was orange with two lights on the roof. Detroit, Motor City, city of cars, city full of violence, city in decline. But especially, emphasizes Bart, still always the city of music. In the 1960s it had the famous Motown sound, then came techno in the 1980s, with artists like Juan Atkins and Derrick May. Now, Detroit is the home of hip-hop, with Eminem and Phat Kat as important representatives. Those musical developments in fact run in tandem with the loss of the automobile industry, points out Bart, from the hopeful Motown sounds that applauded a wonderful world to the hard-boiled techno and hip-hop, which are much more aggressive and pessimistic. In addition to that, the open mike culture flourishes in Detroit cafés and clubs, where everybody is free to grab the microphone and do their thing. Here, by contrast, Bart encountered a remarkable optimism. There turned out to be a tremendous amount of talent walking around in that city, and what was so great was that in America, people are very generous toward one another in such things. In Holland we d be much more cynical: Hey man, go do some practicing and come back later. But there they are quick to say, Thank you for sharing. Despite the crisis, I found them amazingly positive. I saw lots of good will and optimism. As far as that s concerned, Detroit is a fantastic, resilient city with lots of energy. The production Detroit Dealers is music for eighty percent of its content. The Belgian musicians Jens Bouttery and Andrew Claes play sounds especially composed by Bo Koek, which determines the atmosphere of the show. But Bart himself, inspired by the open mikes, also has a go at doing a rap for the first time, he laughingly says. In it, Wilson and he goad each other on at the microphones Amsterdam against Detroit, Bicycle Capital versus Motor City. At the Distinctively Dutch Festival in Pittsburgh, where the show premiered earlier this year, it could count on thunderous applause. Bart quickly puts this into perspective: You never know whether they mean it or not; Americans react enthusiastically no matter what. Thank you for sharing. BIOGRAFIEën Wunderbaum (voorheen Jonghollandia) is een Vlaams-Nederlands acteurscollectief met als vaste kern Walter Bart, Matijs Jansen, Marleen Scholten, Maartje Remmers en Wine Dierickx en vormgever Maarten van Otterdijk. Voor elk project werkt Wunderbaum samen met diverse kunstenaars uit verschillende disciplines zoals muziek, beeldende kunst, film en architectuur. De acteurs van het collectief studeerden in 2001 af aan de Toneelacademie Maastricht. Wunderbaum maakt voorstellingen over actuele thema s, veelal op locatie, maar ook in de grote zaal. Dikwijls onderzoekt Wunderbaum een subcultuur uit de maatschappij van vandaag: de acteurs spelen een bijstandsgezin (Eindhoven de gekste, 2003), would-be religieuzen (Kamp Jezus, 2008), romantici met een grote drang tot zelfopoffering (Magna Plaza, 2007), Britse voetbalsupporters op zuipvakantie in Odessa (Beertourist, 2008). In 2008 werkte Wunderbaum mee aan Tien geboden, in regie van Johan Simons met acteurs van NTGent. Deze voorstelling won de Gouden Bouwmeester In 2010 maakte Wunderbaum de locatievoorstelling Natives in een sloopflat in het Rotterdamse Pendrecht, in regie van Sanne van Rijn, en Rail Gourmet, geschreven door Annelies Verbeke. In 2011 volgde onder meer Onze Paus met tekst van Arnon Grunberg. Behalve Detroit Dealers, dat in première ging op het Distinctively Dutch Festival in Pittsburgh (VS), maakte Wunderbaum dit seizoen Flow my tears en Het spookhuis der geschiedenis, een coproductie met Operadagen Rotterdam. Wunderbaum ontving in 2007 voor zijn gehele oeuvre de Mary Dresselhuysprijs. In 2010 ontving Wunderbaum als groep de Prosceniumprijs van de VSCD. Dit jaar staat het collectief voor het eerst in het Holland Festival. Ze werd baptistisch opgevoed. Na de middelbare school in Detroit te hebben doorlopen studeerde ze twee jaar aan West Virginia State College om aan de Davenport University (Detroit College of Business) haar Bachelor te behalen. In 2005 werd Wilson redacteur van Saved, Single and Satisfied. Sindsdien is zij actief als gast op internetradiostations en televisieprogramma s. In oktober 2010 werd zij uitgelicht door het magazine From a Writer s Point of View en in november van dat jaar werd ze gekozen tot Dichter van de Maand. Op de eerste jaarlijkse National Poetry Awards in Raleigh, North Carolina, werd Wilson in 2010 uitgeroepen tot Dichter van het Jaar en Nieuwe Dichter van het Jaar. Dit jaar bracht ze haar tweede dichtbundel uit onder de titel One Single Rose Out of Darkness Into Light. De Amsterdamse kunstenaar Gerbrand Burger (1976) is initiator en eigenaar van de Gerbrand Burger Studio. Centrale thema s in zijn werk zijn onderlinge perceptie van verschillende culturen, plaats en locatie, migratie en identiteit. Hij onderzoekt 8 9

6 deze thema s met behulp van verschillende media als film, fotografie, grafiek, installatie en objecten. Gerbrand Burger studeerde beeldende kunst aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam en de Cooper Union in New York. Hij nam deel aan het studioprogramma van De Ateliers in Amsterdam en verschillende andere kunstenaars-residencies over de hele wereld. De Gerbrand Burger Studio integreert de ontwikkeling en productie van kunstprojecten met een breed aanbod van diensten voor galeries, musea, verzamelaars, kunstenaars en kunstinstellingen. Na cum laude te zijn afgestudeerd aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag speelde Bo Koek (1980) in diverse bands, waaronder Track en Kopna Kopna. Met de laatste band werkte hij samen met Tom Pintens (Zita Swoon) en Wunderbaum (Lost Chord Radio) en bracht hij het album Like You (2004) uit. Samen met Rik Elstgeest en John van Oostrum zette hij muziektheatergroep Touki Delphine op onder de vleugels van de Veenfabriek. Koek schreef Six Parts for an Imaginary Movie voor het Sirene Orkest van de Veenfabriek en de muziek voor onder meer de film Geboren en Getogen, die de Grote Prijs won op het Very Short Film Festival in Parijs. Koek werkte ook samen met Mocky, We ll Make It Right, Gerry Arling en Wunderbaum. Jens Bouttery (1988) begon zijn muzikale en theatercarrière in verscheidene academies aan de Belgische kust. Hij studeerde met de grootste onderscheiding af in jazzdrum aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussel. Gedurende deze periode speelde en componeerde hij voor theaterproducties als Kamp Jezus en Rail Gourmet van Wunderbaum, Hete Tenen met zijn zus en actrice Lise Bouttery en Concerto van performance-kunstenaar Ivo Dimchev. Bouttery schreef soundtracks voor korte films als Gerrits Kerstige Katharsis van Daan Milius en het veelbekroonde Misschien Later van Moon Blaisse. Voor Franka s Poolparty werd Bouttery uitgeroepen tot beste solist op de XL Jazz Contest 2011 van Brussels Jazz Marathon. In datzelfde jaar won hij de Toots Thielemans Jazz Award voor zijn nieuwste audiovisuele project The Dubtapes, een samenwerkingsproject met Daan Milius uitgevoerd door het Jens Maurits Orchestra. De Antwerpse muzikant Andrew Claes (1980) richt zich in zijn werk vooral op saxofoons, EWI, digitale percussie en modulaire software. De belangrijkste groepen waarin hij speelt zijn BRZZVLL en STUFF. Zijn solo visuele-performanceproject heet Internal Sun. Claes verkent verschillende muzikale stijlen en media en heeft opgetreden in vele jazzclubs en op diverse festivals. Hij is ook te horen en te zien geweest op nationale radio en televisie. Met zijn bands en voor zijn projecten heeft Claes verschillende tracks en albums opgenomen en gecoproduceerd, van techno tot free jazz. Soms werkt hij ook voor theateren filmproducties. BIOGRAPHies Wunderbaum (formerly Jonghollandia) is a Flemish-Dutch actors collective with six permanent members as its core: the actors Walter Bart, Matijs Jansen, Marleen Scholten, Maartje Remmers and Wine Dierickx, and the designer Maarten van Otterdijk. For each project, Wunderbaum works with various artists from different disciplines, such as music, visual art, film and architecture. The actors in the collective all graduated in 2001 from the Maastricht Theatre Academy. Wunderbaum makes productions on topical subjects, often on location but also in theatres. Frequently, Wunderbaum investigates a subculture in today s society: the actors have played a welfare family (Eindhoven de gekste, 2003), would-be monks and nuns (Kamp Jezus, 2008), romantics with a great urge for selfsacrifice (Magna Plaza, 2007), and British football supporters on a drinking holiday in Odessa (Beertourist, 2008). In 2008, Wunderbaum worked in Tien geboden, directed by Johan Simons, along with actors from NTGent. This production won the Golden Bouwmeester In 2010, Wunderbaum made the site-specific production Natives, directed by Sanne van Rijn, in a flat slated for demolition in the Pendrecht neighbourhood in Rotterdam, and Rail Gourmet, written by Annelies Verbeke. In 2011, the collective among other things did Onze Paus with a text by Arnon Grunberg. Besides Detroit Dealers, which premiered at the Distinctively Dutch Festival in Pittsburgh (USA), this season Wunderbaum made Flow My Tears and Het spookhuis der geschiedenis, a coproduction with Operadagen Rotterdam. In 2007, Wunderbaum received the Mary Dresselhuys Award for its entire oeuvre. In 2010, Wunderbaum was awarded the VSCD s Proscenium Prize as group. This year, the collective is playing in the Holland Festival for the first time. She was raised as a Baptist. After going to high school in Detroit, she studied at West Virginia State College for two years and got her bachelor s at Davenport University (Detroit College of Business). In 2005, Wilson became editor of Saved, Single and Satisfied. Since then, she has been a guest on Internet radio stations and television programmes. In October 2010, she was singled out by the magazine From a Writer s Point of View, and in November of that year she was chosen Poet of the Month. At the first annual National Poetry Awards in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2010, Wilson was declared Poet of the Year and New Poet of the Year. This year, she published her second collection of poems under the title One Single Rose Out of Darkness Into Light. The Amsterdam artist Gerbrand Burger (b. 1976) is the initiator and owner of the Gerbrand Burger Studio. Central themes in his work are mutual perception of different cultures, notions of place, migration and identity. He investigates these themes with the help of various media such as film, pho

7 tography, graphics, installations and objects. Gerbrand Burger studied art at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and Cooper Union in New York City. He participated in the De Ateliers studio programme in Amsterdam and various other artist s residencies throughout the world. The Gerbrand Burger Studio integrates the development and production of art projects with a broad offering of services for galleries, museums, collectors, artists and art institutions. After graduating cum laude from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, Bo Koek (b. 1980) played in various bands, including Track and Kopna Kopna. With the latter, he worked with Tom Pintens (Zita Swoon) and Wunderbaum (Lost Chord Radio) and put out the album Like You (2004). Along with Rik Elstgeest and John van Oostrum, he started the music theatre company Touki Delphine under the wings of the Veenfabriek. Koek wrote Six Parts for an Imaginary Movie for the Sirene Orkest of the Veenfabriek and the music for the film Born and Raised, which won the Grand Prix at the Very Short Film Festival in Paris. Koek has also worked with Mocky, We ll Make It Right, Gerry Arling and Wunderbaum. much-awarded Misschien Later by Moon Blaisse. For Franka s Poolparty, Bouttery was declared Best Soloist in the XL Jazz Contest 2011 at the Brussels Jazz Marathon. That same year, he won the Toots Thielemans Jazz Award for his newest audiovisual project, The Dubtapes, a collaborative project with Daan Milius performed by the Jens Maurits Orchestra. The Antwerp musician Andrew Claes (b. 1980) primarily focuses in his work on saxophones, EWI, digital percussion and modular software. The most important groups he plays in are BRZZVLL and STUFF. His solo visual performance project is called Internal Sun. Claes explores different musical styles and media and has performed in many jazz clubs and at various festivals. He also has been heard and seen on national radio and television. With his bands and for his projects, Claes has recorded and produced various tracks and albums, ranging from techno to free jazz. Sometimes he also works for theatre and film productions. Jens Bouttery (b. 1988) began his musical and theatre career in various academies on the Belgian coast. He graduated summa cum laude with a major in jazz drum from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. During this period, he played and composed music for theatre productions such as Kamp Jezus and Rail Gourmet by Wunderbaum; Hete Tenen with his sister, the actress Lise Bouttery; and Concerto by the performance artist Ivo Dimchev. Bouttery has written soundtracks for short films like Gerrits Kerstige Katharsis by Daan Milius and the 12
