2 ROTTERDAM CENTRAL DISTRICT. GLOCAL DISTRICT De afgelopen 10 jaar heeft Rotterdam Central District (RCD) een enorme ontwikkeling doorgemaakt. In het RCD komen wonen, werken in een innovatieve 24-uurs economie, reizen en vrije tijd samen. Het gebied vormt de levendige stadsentree naar de Binnenstad van Rotterdam. De mix van multinationals en lokale bedrijvigheid maakt van het RCD een Glocal District, als schakel tussen lokaal en global, tussen het lokale en het wereldse. Lokale smaakmakers hebben hun plek naast grote internationale bedrijven als Unilever en Shell. Deze mix maakt van het RCD een levendig gebied waarin uitersten, van hippe uitgaansgelegenheden tot de huisvesting van multinationals, samengaan. Het station Rotterdam Centraal winnaar van diverse (inter)nationale prijzen is een vervoersknooppunt van internationale betekenis. Rotterdam Centraal verwerkt na de treinstations van Utrecht en Amsterdam de meeste reizigers in Nederland. 3 ROTTERDAM CENTRAL DISTRICT. GLOCAL DISTRICT Over the past ten years, Rotterdam Central District (RCD) has been the focus of enormous development works. The RCD brings together living, working in an innovative 24-hour economy, travel and leisure. The area forms the lively entrance to Rotterdam city centre. The mix of multinationals and local activities makes the RCD a Glocal District a link between local and global. Local trendsetters have their place alongside major international businesses such as Unilever and Shell. Home to both trendy nightlife venues and multinationals, this mix makes the RCD a lively area where the extremes go hand in hand. Rotterdam Central station, which has won various international awards, is a transport hub of international significance. After the train stations in Utrecht and Amsterdam, Rotterdam Central processes the most travellers in the Netherlands. With Rotterdam Central station, Rotterdam Airport and the port nearby, the RCD is both a prime location for national and international offices and a unique place to live.

4 PLOT DELFTSEPLEIN. Er staan veel nieuwe ontwikkelingen op stapel in het RCD. Als eerste komt aan het Delftseplein een nieuwe eyecatcher te staan. Het is een locatie die veel kansen en ontwikkelmogelijkheden biedt. We dagen de markt dan ook uit om met een ambitieus ontwikkelvoorstel voor deze locatie te komen. Een voorstel dat recht doet aan de ambities voor het gebied, en aan de laatste eisen op het gebied van duurzaamheid. Many new developments are in the pipeline for the RCD. First, a new eye-catcher will be installed on Delftseplein. It is a location that offers many possibilities and development opportunities. We challenge the market to come up with an ambitious development proposal for this location a proposal that does justice to the ambitions for the area and to the latest sustainability requirements.

Lijnbaan Coolsingel Pomperburg Weena Delftse Poort Schiekade Poortstraat De locatie Delftseplein ligt pal naast de OV-terminal van Rotterdam Centraal en loopt parallel aan het Weena. Hier is ruimte voor de ontwikkeling van een toren met daarin kantoren en appartementen, aangevuld met een publieke levendige plint met bijvoorbeeld horeca en winkels. Stationsplein Delftseplein Delftseplein Proveniers plein CS Stationssingel Het gebied rond station Rotterdam CS wordt Rotterdam Central District genoemd. De locatie Delftseplein ligt parallel aan het Weena, pal naast station Rotterdam CS. Delftseplein is located right next to the public transport terminal at Rotterdam Central station and is parallel to Weena. There is room here for the development of a tower of offices and apartments, supplemented by a lively public plinth with hospitality and shops, for example. The area around Rotterdam Central station is called Rotterdam Central District. Delftseplein is located parallel to Weena, right next to Rotterdam Central station.

6 VERBINDEN, DELEN EN VERDUURZAMEN. CONNECT, SHARE AND SUSTAIN Verbinden (connect), delen (share) en verduurzaming (sustain): daar draait het om in het RCD. Het verbinden van gebruikers, plekken en gebouwen, het delen van de ruimte, het verduurzamen van de gebiedsontwikkeling en duurzaam bouwen: ook bij de ontwikkeling van het Delftseplein staan deze ambities centraal. Connect, share and sustain: that s what the RCD is all about. Connecting users, places and buildings, sharing space, increasing the sustainability of area development and building sustainably: these ambitions are also key to the development of Delftseplein.

7 Via een tender in dialoog gaat de gemeente Rotterdam op zoek naar partners bij de ontwikkeling van het Delftseplein. Samen met u willen we toewerken naar een optimaal resultaat voor deze toplocatie, zowel qua duurzaamheid en techniek als qua uitstraling. Bent u geïnteresseerd? Houdt u dan in de gaten.
